Walk to Belle Isle, 6 min drive to downtown! A spacious 1BR corner loft overlooking the river and two parks. Lots of light and beautiful view. Convenient location off Jefferson Ave and Detroit's Riverwalk. Gated parking for one car. First time visitors to Detroit and city regulars will enjoy using my loft as a base of operations. I've been a contributing author to Wildsam Field Guides, an eclectic guidebook publisher, and have great recommendations for most cravings in this unique city.
I have a few spaces in Detroit. If this loft is unavailable, check one of my other cool spots: https://www.airbnb.com/users/6405993/listings This loft is beautiful, open, and full of light. A perfect retreat in Detroit. I grew up in Montana, lived in India for a few years, and ran a journalism startup in Detroit called Jaunt, so I have decorated my place with remnants of my travels. I also contributed to a Detroit guidebook called WildSam Field Guides, so I can help you put together a good itinerary or fill any holes you might have. I mostly live on my sailboat during the summer and I teach Marine Science on a sailing school vessel. The loft is all open except for the bathroom. The bedroom is separated by a wall without a ceiling. The kitchen has all the basic essentials and utensils plus coffee, tea, cereal, oatmeal, etc. for breakfast. I have an HDTV with Blu-Ray, Roku, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and an HD OTR antennae for NBC, ABC, FOX, etc. Then there's the bed. Queen and super comfortable - I splurged on the bed because good sleep is really important to me. For extra guests, there is a queen pull-out sofa in the common area. The apartment can accommodate up to four (two in each queen bed) but you're starting to get a little cramped. I will decline requests for greater than four people unless you have a special circumstance. There are two A/C units: one window-mounted right next to the bed and the other in the living room space. They do a good job on the loft 90% of the time, but if the sun is glaring and it is scorching hot, they won't be able to create the refrigerated A/C frigidity we are used to with central air. The bedroom unit works perfectly if you shut the door to the common area. In the winter, you can turn the heat up as much as you like and make it toasty warm.
I moved here in October, 2014 from the nearby West Village area where there are a few great new restaurants, like Craft Work, Detroit Vegan Soul, and Red Hook Coffee. The loft is on the Riverwalk, which is a bike/walk trail connecting you to downtown and Eastern Market via the Dequindre Cut, a converted rail line that runs off of the Riverwalk. I am also walking distance to the Belle Isle bridge. The building is kitty corner to a Coast Guard base, a U.S. Federal building, and the offices of a private security firm. The streets are lit and other residents of the building are frequently coming and going. I have always felt that the area around where I live is quite safe.
  • Great service from Karen. Place was clean and very stylish.

    Rav2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • A raw, beautiful space that captures the energy of what it means to be in early 20th C Detroit and the historical relationship to Canada and the French. It's also a cool loft that has its quirks but feels totally welcoming and safe. Thane is an effusive and skilled host. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

    Gary2016-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Communication with Thane was great; check in was pretty easy. The location is great, close to downtown and with nice water views. The loft was large enough to accommodate the three of us. It was pretty clean and well furnished. Cool spot if you like raw lofts. Major negative point was the noise; the loft isn't well insulated; we could hear the upstairs neighbors as if they were staying with us, it woke us up several times at night. Overall, nice place in a nice location

    Sam2016-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • The neighborhood is close to downtown, but still very safe. The building is incredible and very stylish. I enjoyed staying here by myself while traveling to Detroit!

  • Communication with Thane was easy and timely. His loft is in a beautiful building in a great location, and we enjoyed exploring Detroit from this comfortable home base.

A beautiful, open, airy loft space housed within a completely renovated 1926 industrial building. Centrally located on Woodward Avenue, steps away from the Amsterdam stop of the newly-installed QLINE in New Center. Hop on, and be anywhere you'd like in New Center, Midtown, or Downtown in minutes. Relax, you're home.
This is a modern loft apartment housed within a completely renovated 1926 building that originally housed graphic artists for General Motors, and other companies. Designed by famed-Detroit architect Albert Kahn, you'll notice the signature art-deco front-facade and incredible lobby of the building. All the character of the loft is still intact, from the concrete floors, brick exterior wall, and the mushroom columns Albert Kahn was known for. Home includes a large kitchen, front load washer and dryer, incredibly fast internet with wifi and one bedroom with a queen-sized bed. This building is incredibly peaceful, quiet, and relaxing; while being just blocks away from anything you'd want to do in the city. Kitchen includes gas stove/oven, stainless steel sink, refrigerator, toaster, pots, pans, coffee maker, and any other utensils you need to call Detroit home for a few days. You'll find a single bedroom (this was originally a studio unit, but has been converted into a completely-walled one bedroom unit). Beautifully comfortable queen bed, small dresser, and chair. The main bathroom includes a subway tile shower/tub, sink, and any towels and amenities you'll need to make your stay perfect. Awesomely comfy white cotton sheets are included in the bedroom. The living room includes a couch (can be used for extra sleeping space, but isn't a pull-out), coffee table, and two chairs. 50" HDTV is hooked up to an Apple TV with Netflix. Outdoor space includes a small patio (which you'll enter from) with two bistro chairs and table. Enjoy the sunny back-alley of the building with a drink of your choice from the fridge. Local spots within walking/biking distance include the incredibly beautiful art-deco Fisher and Albert Kahn buildings; Midtown Shopping (Shinola, Willys, Nora, Hugh, Carhartt, Fellow Barber, City Bird, Nest, and more); the mid-century gardens and campus at Wayne State, and more. Local attractions include the city and public art, Belle Isle with its beaches, waterpark, Albert Kahn designed conservatory and aquarium, and trails. The world is your oyster. Restaurants nearby including fast food, Northern Lights Lounge, Falafill, Dangerously Delicious Pies, City Wings, Motor City Brewing Works, Jolly Pumpkin, and more. The loft is all yours while you're here. Enjoy, relax, and hang out. I prefer text and AirBnB message for communication. Taking photos during your stay? Make sure you #thatdetroitloft.
Awesome location right on Woodward at the Midtown/New Center border. Just a few blocks either way to a ridiculous amount of inspiration, character, activities, and restaurants. Take in the Detroit Institute of Arts, or check out the art-deco skyscrapers of New Center.
  • I can't even begin to explain how awesome Jesse's loft was. Super accurately pictured in the photos. Also, his recommendations were ON POINT. Jesse was super attentive and communicated well. I basically wanted to live there forever haha the location was great and parking was a breeze. Can't wait to visit again! Detroit is easily one of my favorite cities!

  • We enjoyed our stay so much! Everything was super clean and cozy, and the space was artistic and beautiful. As first time visitors to Detroit, we felt very safe being on the same block as the police department as well. Loved it!

Welcome to Woodbridge Farm! ...a friendly, spacious & quiet neighborhood, close to all of the happenings in/around Detroit. Enjoy the newly renovated 2nd floor of our 1884 Historic house. The apt is cozy w/ yummy architectural/design details.
WOODBRIDGE FARM: We love it here! ...very special and unique. The street is filled with Urban Pioneers and creative types; artists, musicians, gardeners, and makers. You will find that most homes sit on larger pieces of land, giving Woodbridge Farms a unique feel. Many of the houses in the area have undergone impressive renovations, and for the others the renovation is underway. We have completed the interior renovations of this home, and soon we will start renovation on the house next door, which we also own. From the outside they look a little rough, but keep coming back and you will be able to witness the transformation! US & OUR RENOVATION PROJECTS: We are longtime Detroiter’s. We are committed to the City, and we are so happy to have been a part of the revitalization of Detroit. We love old homes …and we love to renovate them! Zac is a general contractor, and Renee is an Interior Designer. Together, we have been restoring old homes in Woodbridge for the last 15 years. LOCATION: You are a short walk/drive from Detroit’s midtown area, where you will find a variety of restaurants and shopping. Both Corktown and Downtown are within a few miles. It is a very quiet neighborhood, conveniently located to all major freeways. Lots of parking. THE LISTING: Newly renovated, with the best of care. Open plan kitchen, dining, and living. King size bed with fine linens and nice pillows. The bedroom windows are opposite the sun rise. It is a very peaceful space, bright, open and fresh. We are sure you will love the apartment. It is clean and private. We have an office on the first floor that is completely separate from the space. Zac is typically there M-F 9-5 should you need to fax ,copy or have any questions. If you have any special requests we will do our best to accommodate you, if given a bit of notice. We live 2 blocks away from the apartment should anything urgent come up.
  • Zac & Renee have a very beautiful apartment, in a nice quiet neighborhood walking distance from some great parts of town. I loved staying there and hope to again soon.

    Ezra2016-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our week at Zac and Renee's place. They have done such a wonderful job renovating this unique Detroit house, and were super accommodating if we ever had questions. We are from Mi, have lived right downtown Detroit, but if you aren't familiar w/the city we could see how this location could be easily misunderstood. Don't worry, it is very safe, and many of the houses are being quickly renovated/restored (even the ones that don't look like it from the outside). Detroit is such an amazing community of people and new developments, and this is the perfect place to stay for the Detroit experience!

    Mallory2016-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent host and the space was gorgeous. Zac & Renee were easy to contact and made it clear that they were available anytime we needed them. The neighborhood is conveniently located to mostly every popular neighborhood in Detroit. After a long day out in the city this was the best place to come back home to. Tastefully decorated, the whole floor was cozy and warm (great AC and heating system). Highly recommend for your stay in Detroit. ENJOY !

    Mike2016-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Such a relaxing place, the high ceilings and natural light really make for a nice calming vibe. Location is close to everything from Midtown to Corktown and downtown.

    Jaymin & Tash2016-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Zac & Renee are Detroit's secret that everyone should know about. You'll find a comfortable space touched up with artwork that feels like it has been around the world and back. Everything is so dope and stylish it'll quickly become your go to Detroit airbnb!

    Ariandé2018-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • One of the most stylish air bnb’s I have ever stayed in. Was very well equipped with everything we needed for our stay as well. Neighbourhood is upcoming but very close to everything and we felt safe the whole time. Zac and Renee work downstairs on the main floor so it’s very easy to ask them questions if you need anything. Oh did I mention Taco, the sweetest cat around. Thanks again.

    Tory2018-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Zac & Renee's apartment is a wonderful place for couples to spend their weekend. It is close to midtown and downtown if you have a car. And the apt is clean, quiet and comfy. Everything is well prepared in this place.

    Rose2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay here. Beautiful, well equipped space clearly designed with heart and soul. The location is great for exploring Detroit- we were never more than a 10 minute drive from anywhere and spent much of our time exploring on foot. Zac and Renee are terrific and considerate hosts, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. And Taco the cat did not disappoint.

Upstairs from Slows BBQ and on the same block as Astro, Sugar House and Gold Cash Gold, this two-bedroom neighborhood inn provides an immersive, welcoming travel experience in the heart Corktown, Detroit's oldest neighborhood.
A small-scale, design-focused Detroit inn, Honor & Folly is reminiscent of the way folks used to travel: a few beds above the village pub or restaurant. You'll be immersed in this historical neighborhood that's also at the forefront of the city's current revitalization. Featured in Martha Stewart Living, Food & Wine, Bon Appetit (made the 40 "Best Food Lovers Hotels in America" Awards), The Globe and Mail, Details Magazine, Conde Nast Traveller UK, and Afar. With a prime Corktown location, you'll be situated smack into the middle of one of the most thriving, charming and walk-able neighborhoods in the city—right across from the city’s most beautiful icon of urban decay: the old train station. Admire it up-close or enjoy the beautiful view through the big living room windows—you can even see the Ambassador Bridge! Sharing a block with Slows, Astro, Gold Cash Gold and Sugar House, Honor & Folly also offers plenty of other nearby bars, shops and restaurants within a quick stroll (I provide guests with a list of my favorite recommendations), as well as easy access to downtown. The well-appointed space is decorated with goods made by Detroit and Midwest-based designers and artisans—much of which is also for sale. There are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and its own bathroom, for a capacity of four people, with additional possible sleeping arrangements for kids. From time to time, Honor & Folly is used as a community space, hosting workshops or events, but you will have the space entirely to yourself during your stay. OTHER AMENITIES: outdoor balcony | local design | fully stocked cooking kitchen | potential to arrange custom catering, private dinner parties, etc.
  • Honor and Folly was incredible! Much more spacious than the pictures show! Absolutely beautifully appointed. Great location, we had no issues with parking at all. I would love to stay here again! Can't recommend enough!

    Bailey2016-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the apartment -- cool, clean, roomy and welcoming. Super stylish. And the neighborhood is terrific -- Great food, bars and even shops on the block and nearby. Will definitely stay there again.

  • Meghan is a welcoming host. This was our first experience with airbnb and she helped us along the way. We got great information about the area and places to visit. The location was perfect for us, very close to the places we wanted to visit and easy to get around the city.

    Leisa2016-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Meghan was awesome and I was thrilled to finally stay at Honor & Folly w/ a co-worker. Beautiful place straight our of your favorite design blog, Pinterest bin board or Etsy store. Will definitely look to book again. Major plus of being above a fantastic coffee shop, cocktail bar and the famous Slows.

    Gabe2014-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • The space was absolutely beautiful, and Meghan provided LOTS of thoughtful recommendations about what to do, see, where to eat in Detroit, how to travel/park. Truly she thought of everything. You couldn't ask for a better location - right in the center of a block of Corktown where there is lots to see. If you are looking to get a good sense of Corktown, stay here and spend some time in the neighborhood; you will learn a lot, eat/drink really well, and at the end of the day, go back to a super comfortable apt.

    Dani2015-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Meghan's Corktown Inn is the perfect to stay while visiting Detroit. It is in a very trendy neighborhood, really close to Downtown. The apartment is large with a lot of open space and perfectly decorated. We highly recommend going to Slows BBQ and Astro coffee which are just downstairs. We would to go back and stay at Honor and Folly again. We highly recommend to anyone who is visiting Detroit.

    Aude2016-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • The listing was totally accurate! The location of Honor & Folly is ideal, and we loved the space. We loved the homey feel, the vintage aesthetic, and the great eats nearby. Our hosts were gracious and accommodating.

    Daphne2016-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at Honor & Folly, & we enjoyed it just as much as the first time we stayed. Meghan is a great host, very accessible & easy to communicate with, & the space is really comfortable with close proximity to awesome dining.

  • What a terrific space. Would've been perfect for an event, although it turned out to be just as good for a low key hang out! Instructions for the stay were clear and Kyle was very communicative and helpful. Great experience at a very cool space, with a great purpose/dedication to the arts. Would highly recommend it.

    Grace2016-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • This property is absolutely beautiful. It comfortably sleeps six and can host many more. The rooftop terrace and the open loft design provide excellent spaces to socialize. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. And, it is central enough that we were a quick uber from everywhere we wanted to go. One consideration is that only one room is separated from the rest of the loft by a door. There is still privacy for the other two beds. But, maybe not as much as you'd like for an extended stay.

    Matthew2016-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful loft in a great location with plenty of room for guests to sleep! Would definitely stay here again.

    Eric2017-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Kyle's loft was amazing!! Gorgeous views, very comfortable beds, and lots and lots of sunlight. We had a fabulous time! Getting in and out with the door codes and lock boxes was very convenient. I also appreciated the parking! We made use of the games he provided and had a lot of fun. Will definitely stay in one of his properties again if I'm in Detroit! Highly recommend.

    Kelly2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely huge place to stay at. It was myself and one other guest & there was still loads and loads of room. Definitely going to be looking at a group booking!

    Dakota2017-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • This loft was a great place to stay for a long weekend. Especially enjoyed the views from the roof balcony - and the endless vistas of the railroad tracks, old warehouses, and surrounding neighborhoods. Kyle was a communicative and friendly host, quick to reply with anything amiss -- but gave us plenty of room to make ourselves at home. The unit is large, well equipped with cooking supplies and plenty of towels and linens. Comfy, trendy, and just as pictured. Centrally located, we could get a Lyft in minutes to anywhere downtown for ~10$. A couple things to note : the loft is a large, open plan loft - if you are coming with other folks, know that you will hear everyone all the time as all rooms have open walls into the main space. Additionally, there are no curtains - so if you are a light sleeper, it might be best to pack a mask for your eyes, or simply be ready to wake with the sun and enjoy the early starts in Motor City. Lastly, there is a neat, eclectic event space across the alley - if you don't go an join in on the fun yourself, you might have a DJ playing tunes late into the night!

Fresh Gothic-Victorian nearby the Museum of African American History, Wayne State, Third Man Records, Shinola. Sfumato Fragrances NOW OPEN in the garden level, perfume shop and low-key scented cocktail bar (search for the latest Lonely Planet article). Selden Standard across the street. 9 min walk to QLINE (approx 10 min to Downtown on the streetcar). 10 min walk to U of M Ann Arbor shuttle bus. MoGo bike rental 1 block away. Rocket Fiber gigabit internet speed. Sonos controls in wall speakers.
This 1880s Gothic-Victorian Mansion was renovated in 2015. Everything is new, clean and modern. There is a queen sized bed and an air mattress. The space can definitely accommodate 3-4 people, but it’ll be cozy (i.e., it’s a Studio). There is ample closet space, a full kitchen, washer/dryer and a private bathroom. The space gets great light. In addition to the low-key cocktail bar in the garden level, Detroit Clothing Circle clothing shop downstairs offers curated racks of clothing with styles that won't blend in with the herd.
We have a great location in Midtown Detroit, many great bars, restaurants, and shops are within walking distance. Popular nearby attractions include the DIA, MOCAD, Chartreuse, Jolly Pumpkin, Hop Cat, Motor City Brewing Works, Great Lakes Coffee and Whole Foods.
  • Great location in Midtown with lots of gems within walking distance. (Fine dining, great cafes, some retail, and a pocket park.) The neighborhood is quiet, and we found street parking easily. However if you're not used to it, there is a fire station down the block that can be disruptive. We're from a city, so it didn't bother us (my toddler slept through any sirens), but I can see how it might bother some.

Loved having the washer & dryer! We were able to find a market and good places to eat close by. Would definitely recommend.

  • What an amazing apartment, in one of my favorite neighborhoods in ANY city. It's clear the hosts have put a lot of love into this home, and it's even more beautiful than the pictures show. I even checked out the bees at a safe distance (I am scared of bees). The host was fantastic and full of local knowledge, giving us great recommendations for nearby food, drink and museums. This neighborhood is my favorite in Detroit, so walkable but also a quick drive to lots of nearby attractions. Will definitely stay here again!

    James2016-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this place! It's a cute little neighborhood pretty close to downtown. Accurate listing and Meredith & Matt made for extremely thoughtful hosts. Definitely coming back for our next Detroit week!

    Shannon2016-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is really a great place to stay. This apartment is what I wish mine was like. I'd live there all the time if I could. My wife and I were in town for a wedding and Matt and Meredith had excellent suggestions for things we could do in our free time. We had a great breakfast, some good beer, and some sightseeing all within a short drive. I would definitely stay here again!

    Craig2015-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Matt and Meredith's place was great - exactly as described. The flat was very spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable, and there were tons of fresh towels ready for me to use. If you're fortunate enough to stay at their location, I'd recommend taking a few minutes to read the history of the house and Matt and Meredith's plans for its future. Also, try some of the homemade cider!

    Justin2015-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Although our stay was short and we didn't get a chance to meet, Matt and Meredith are gracious, communicative, and generous hosts. Check in was seamless, the place absolutely gorgeous, with thoughtful details throughout. They had a great guidebook of recommendations for the Detroit area, a bottle of wine for us, and we felt welcome, cozy, and relaxed. They are emblematic of a perfect Airbnb experience! I cannot recommend enough.

    Evie2016-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • Matthew and Meredith were both there to greet me as I arrived and took me to show me around their lovely flat. I have never felt more welcomed by anyone!! They also made sure I was familiar with their amazing neighborhood and selected two phenomenal restaurants, yes, I went to both and it was completely worth it!! Knowing I had such a welcoming flat to return to, I retired early and spent the rest of the evening relaxing and enjoying their home. When I return to Detroit (I know I will one day) I hope to stay with them again. It was that wonderful!!

    Daysha2015-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Matt and Meredith were very pleasant to deal with. Wonderful hosts with an adorable flat. They had a guest guide that had interesting information and places for guest to review. The Location was close to down town Detroit, 15 min drive to Greektown. It was also not a far stretch from the Somerset Collection mall, 20 min drive. If back in Michigan I would stay here again.

    Abu & Kelly2016-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Matthew and Meredith's place is very cozy! It's an open space with wood floors, shaggy/chic vibe, a large bathroom, and a beautiful clawfoot. This place offers a great value within a relatively short driving distance to most of Detroit's shopping, eating, and nightlife areas. :) The hosts are great with communication. They offer plenty of information on Detroit activities.

Up north at its best! Stay in a custom cabin in the middle of Rocky Top Farms, a cherry orchard. Please read this listing completely!
Custom timber-frame cabin was built by my husband, father-in-law, and me with the help from many, many friends. The little cabin is in the middle of a large cherry orchard in the heart of beautiful northern Michigan and is situated on a pond surrounded by birch trees. The love is in the details at this very special place. Climb a ladder to the romantic sleeping loft and gaze at the incredible northern night skies! Wonderful front porch! Locally made art. Amazing soapstone wood stove for cozy warmth and romantic, flickering firelight. Shared outdoor 6 person hot tub. The small kitchen is equipped with all you might need to make some wonderful meals. Fridge, sink, oven with stove top griddle, microwave. Pots, pans, mixing bowls, utensils, dishes, cups, mugs, basic oils and spices are included. OH~ and coffee maker complete with coffee. Towels, bedding and firewood are also provided. Enjoy acres of Michigan orchard, prairie, and woodlands. The north end of Torch Lake is just a couple miles away. Lake Michigan beaches are within minutes of driving. Ski resorts, breweries (can you say SHORT'S BREWING?), wineries, restaurants, farm markets are all within reach for great day trips. This property is best accessed by four- wheel drive during the winter months. You could say we are off the beaten path. This cabin can be rented in conjunction with The Treehouse at Rocky Top Farms- check it out! The Treehouse is near The Cabin, but both buildings have been designed to have a feeling of privacy. There is a wall of pine trees between the cabins. Please be reminded that this is a working orchard. You may hear ambient tractor noises at various times. You should have 4 wheel drive to access the cabin in winter- I am not joking!!! Surrounded by lakes, beaches and hiking opportunities abound! We are located 15 minutes south of Charlevoix and 20 minutes north of Elk Rapids. Bellaire (home to Short's Brewery) is 20 minutes away. Traverse City is about 30 minutes to our south. See the guidebook for a listing of our favorite spots. No public transport around here, sorry. You must have 4 wheel drive to visit the cabin in the winter.... Otherwise, prepare to hike about 1/4 mile to the cabin, and park at the barn. The water here is well- water. It isn't the city water you might be used to. It does have a yellowish cast because there are many tannins in it. The water has been tested, and is fine to drink. You may want to bring your own drinking water if are used to chlorinated water.
We love our rural neck of the woods! Surrounded by lakes, beaches and hiking opportunities abound! See the guidebook for a listing of our favorite spots. Our immediate neighbors consist of farmers, artists, a college professor, bee keepers, a massage therapist, a chef, an energy conservationist and a professional star-gazer_ truly! Our neighborhood is spread across many miles, but we are look out for each other and are friends.
  • Our time at the Rocky Top cabin was amazing as always! We can't wait for our next trip there!

    Marty2015-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL! I don't think it's possible for me to geek out about this place more! My husband and I were looking for a romantic weekend away from life and this cabin did that for us! The fact that it didn't have wifi was appealing to us! I really forced us/allowed us to just be together without distractions around us! The cabin is just wonderful! Very clean and well kept! It had things in the cupboards that were left/forgotten at home! The shower had great water pressure and the cabin stayed warm enough with the wood burner! We loved the hot tub too! It was a very appealing feature! We had no problem leaving the cabin unlocked for the day and at night. We felt very safe. The privacy was wonderful! I have already been recommending this cabin to everyone I know and am confident that we will be back again! Mike and Heidi are wonderful hosts who want the best stay for their guests! They were very quick to respond to messages over AirBNB and on their phones! As you can tell by all the exclamation points that this cabin won't be beat! Wow!

    Hannah2015-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Heidi was the perfect hostess! She made us feel very welcome. As for the cabin itself, it could not have been more perfect. It was the ideal place for us to unwind and get back in tune with ourselves and with nature. Heidi left little notes around to help us with anything we needed to know. Heidi's recommendation led us to a beach on Lake Michigan where we ended up getting engaged! This cabin is now literally one of my favorite places in the world. We will definitely be back! If you're looking for a tranquil, rejuvenating getaway, this is it. This place is magical!

    Kelsey2016-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • LOVE THIS PLACE!!! We rented out the treehouse and the cabin for our memorial day wedding. The wedding was held on the farm and my husband and I stayed in the little cabin while our two best friends stayed in the treehouse. First of the property is AMAZING! I ran two mornings through the fields and it is absolutely stunning. Both places are comfortable and absolutely perfect for a peaceful retreat. If you just wanted to get away from it all staying within either of the properties would be the a perfect way to do it. The host Heidi and her family are as good as they come. Heidi was absolutely the best contact for wedding stuff and was amazing and helping us achieve our simple picnic style wedding and went way above and beyond what you would expect for a host for a DIY wedding, I cannot began to thank them enough. If you are in the area and looking for a little piece of nature heaven, stay here. We loved it, our wedding guests loved it and possibly most importantly or dogs did too. Thank you so much! I hope our paths can cross again!

    Krystina2016-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great secluded cabin. Ideal for those with dogs. Acres of exploring to do ! Lots of sights and things to do in the area.

    Jeff2017-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was amazing. It was just the quiet and relaxing place my girlfriend and I were looking for. The host was very helpful and recommended some outstanding activities. I would highly recommend staying here.

    John2017-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Oh, where to start? Heidi is a terrific host. Warm and welcoming, post-it note friendly, and cherry butter on the counter-leaving, she is exactly what I imagined an Airbnb host would be like. As my first time using the service, I couldn't be happier. The cabin itself, I don't want to give it away. Let's just say it's perfect, because it is. I am enamored with Rocky Top Farms and I can only imagine how it will be even more grand in the summer months. But as for me- winter at the cabin will always hold a special place in my heart.

    Sabrina2014-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was exactly what we were hoping for! Quiet, secluded, complete with a fun sleeping loft, wood burning stove, and a hot tub. Heidi really knows how to accommodate her guests - she provided us with Rocky Top cherry preserves, bathrobes, and some other treats in the fridge. We had a wonderfully relaxing time and would love to come back!

Craftsman style, 2 bedroom cabin with large windows overlooking the designated "National Wild and Scenic" Pere Marquette River.
Craftsman style, 2 bedroom cabin with large windows overlooking the designated "National Wild and Scenic" Pere Marquette River. Peaceful and cozy craftsman style cabin in the woods overlooking the Pere Marquette river. Large windows on the riverside allow for a spectacular view of the river and lovely sunrises. The cabin has central AC and central heat, but there is NO TV or Internet/WiFi. The kitchen is well stocked with most cooking essentials. There is a tea kettle, various coffee pots, coffee bean grinder, dishes, pans, small refrigerator, and small functioning vintage stove. Freshly laundered bed linens, blankets and towels are provided. The town grocery store is conviently located less than a mile from the cabin. Both bedrooms have a full size mattresses. There is also a futon in the living room that could be used for additional guests. There is a 2 person tandem kayak, canoe and fishing poles are available at the cabin and are free for guest use. The burn ring by the river and a fire pit on the property that can be used for bonfires or roasting marshmallows. A door code enables guests to check themselves in after 3pm. We are available by text/email or phone during their stay if there any problems or questions. The cabin is located in Baldwin which is a small rural town that has very limited attractions or resturants, but makes for quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Cabin is located on Pere Marquette river which is a designated "National Wild and Scenic" river and is world renowned for excellent fishing for rainbow trout, brown trout and Steelhead. The river section directly in front of the cabin is open for fishing only during the last weekend in April to end of September (trout season). It is also a very popular river for canoes and kayakers since it is steady and considerably clear which is perfect for paddlers with basic skills. The cabin is located about a 2 minute drive from the closest 'open all year round' river location. The cabin is 1.5 hour drive from Traverse City (Wine tasting, beaches, cherry orchards) and/or Grand Rapids MI (Art prize, Fredrick Meijer sculpture Gardens). It is also 45 Min. drive from Ludington which has miles of public beach on Lake Michigan. Pleae note there is a approx. 50 yard walk from the driveway to the cabin. Smoking inside the cabin is not allowed. Pets are ok with the following considerations: no wet dogs in the cabin (most dogs love swimming in the river), no pets on the furniture and up to date flea control is appreciated. The cabin is located 3.5 miles from the start of the Pere Marquette Rail Trail which is a excellent mountain biking and hiking trail.
The cabin is located in Lake County which is over half state (Pere Marquette State Forest) and federal land (Manistee National Forest) with endless hiking opportunities. The cabin is located very close to the North Country National Scenic Trail. There are multiple sections of the North Country trail that allow mountain biking and also the Big M trail is nearby. The cabin is located near the small town of Baldwin which has very limited attractions and no notable restaurants therefore this is not the place to come for man made sightseeing that is nearby.
  • Everything was perfect with our stay at Russ and Jade's cabin! When we arrived, it was exactly as described by them and in other comments. Russ and Jade had left us little local treats for our arrival, and were very easy to contact once we were there. We stayed in late October, and the trees were beautiful hues of orange and yellow. THE CABIN: We LOVED our stay in the cabin! Our favorite part was the comfy couch surrounded by windows overlooking the river. Such a treat! The beds were comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. The decorations were simple and adorable. The kitchen had all we needed to prepare our food. There was even a typewriter! We also had fun building fires in the fire pit by the river. LOCATION: The cabin is located right by a beautiful river. While you can't see any other houses from the riverside, you can see a house at the front and you can see/hear cars going by when you're by the river on a distant road. A grocery store is very close. Russ and Jade left a huge binder with local restaurants and attractions, which was very helpful. We took a lovely daytrip to Ludington State Park and Lake Michigan, only an hour's drive away. BOTTOM LINE: This was a great stay! We will definitely try to come back!

    Marina2015-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Bar none the best air bnb experience we have had as a family. Beautiful place, peaceful time spent just relaxing and walking/fishing together. The cabin was surprisingly spacious and had more creature comforts than one should expect while "camping". One of the things we loved most was the attention to detail at the cabin - artfully done yet functional too and so clean. Jade was very responsive via text. Our dog had a great time too!

    Sean2015-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had another great weekend. Great fishing, great weather, and the most peaceful stay. Always love getting to experience the tranquil vibe the cabin exudes.

    Jamie2015-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin was the perfect getaway from the city! Low key, simple and charming. The setting on the river is so peaceful. The cabin was particularly clean yet hostiptable. The hosts were readily accessible, but there was nothing we needed! Highly recommended.

    Lindsay2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very well maintained cabin. Highly responsive hosts. Amazing views, nothing like waking up to hot coffee and taking in the sounds of the river flowing right in front of the home. There was also a beaver dam in front of the home, so on several mornings the kids got a chance to see beavers come in and out. We would definitely come back.

    Shiva2014-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great vacation rental for my wife, dog and I! We loved the rustic cabin and the picturesque setting, and everything in the cabin was so thoughtfully placed and set up ready for us that we felt welcome and "at home" at once. Russ and Jade made their cabin feel cozy and their aesthetic helped us fall at once in love.

    Jeremiah2015-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect getaway from the daily grind. This was our first trip away from the kids, and it was great. The proximity to Ludington and Traverse City is nice and very easy to do; especially with little ines that need to stop more often.

    Anne2017-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • A true up north gem! Jade communicated well with us to make sure we didn’t need anything. We had a lot of fun on the river and by the fire. We were able to relax and slept well listening to the sound of the river. The house itself was super clean and darling. Would love to come back.

The sauna is a joy to use. Area itself is remote and provides full privacy to relax. For those who wish to enjoy Lake Superior and all that Marquette has to offer, the Love Shack is a must visit.

  • Absolutely amazing. The view is stunning and the pictures don’t do it justice. Laying in bed and being able to see the stars was incredible. Would totally reccomend to anyone who loves off the grid living.

  • An extremely unique spot and we had an amazing time! Hosts were very accurate and communicative about check in and about the property. The sauna was an awesome experience, the cabin was cozy and the view was breathtaking. Would love to stay again!

    Robert2016-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived to the Love Lot very late at night and could not stop oohing and aahing over the vast host of brilliant stars overhead. I've never seen anything like it! We were lulled to sleep (in a super comfy bed!) by the sound of the waves crashing onto the rocks, and we woke up to the sun glittering onto the clear waters of Lake Superior. The view here is unparalleled - a truly limitless expanse of sky, water, and trees along the shore. Though we did not meet Bruce and Karie, they had left us a tidy, clean cabin plus a breakfast of delicious blueberry muffins to enjoy on our first few mornings. We explored Marquette and the surrounding area during the day, but we loved coming back to this utterly remote, beautiful piece of land every evening. We cooked over the fire a couple times and even used the sauna one night. From the sauna, we could watch the sunset turn the sky pink over the lake. So gorgeous and relaxing! We did not use the generator but the gas lights provided adequate lighting when the sun sank behind the trees at night. Bruce left us plenty of water to use plus a large cooler where we could put ice, food, and drinks - this was a huge help. We were also able to wash dishes using some amenities in the cabin (dish soap, buckets, sponge). He left us very explicit instructions as to how to best utilize the cabin and land, and he was readily reachable by phone or text when we had questions about both the house and activities in the area. We could not have asked for better hosts or a more relaxing, gorgeous place to spend a long weekend!

    Elizabeth2016-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Love Shack is a beautiful property & was perfect for what we were looking for: quiet, secluded, spectacular view & close to Marquette. We were weary of going camping with a baby & this was the perfect alternative. Can't wait to go back!

Log cabin on Grand Traverse Bay in beautiful Suttons Bay. Private beach. Super kid and dog friendly (extra dog fee applies). Grill, swim, read, cook, walk, hike, bike, wine taste and more...
Beautiful, fully-equipped beachfront log cabin on West Grand Traverse Bay. Lee Point is the place to be! Sleeps at least 8 (max 12) across 3 floors with 3 full bathrooms, washer/dryer, full kitchen, decorative fireplace, etc. The Beach: 150' of private West Bay beachfront for your use. Water is shallow (great for little swimmers/dogs) for a ways out. Beach toys, a few chairs and towels provided. We suggest aqua socks for little children given our own experience! There is a fire pit on the small bluff overlooking the water as well. The house: This is a traditional log cabin that is fully outfitted (towels, linen, cookware, etc) and furnished for comfort and a Northern Michigan vacation-style. 3 floors of space to sprawl, relax and enjoy. There's a very private deck off the back of the home. Linens and towels provided. Lower level bathroom completely remodeled and updated in December 2016. The indoor fireplace is only decorative. (please note!) The upstairs jacuzzi is permanently retired and not in use. Neither of these features are advertised as perks at the cabin, so please don't be disappointed that they are not available! Both are for the safety of our guests! *We are unable to accommodate weddings or special events due to insurance liability and facility requirements. Dogs welcome with an additional $25/day fee payable 1 week before check in. Please inquire with questions!
Location: located half mile off M-22, Lee Point is a quiet street made up of beaches, houses and local neighbors & vacationers. It's friendly, private and beautiful. It's a short trip into the charming village of Suttons Bay, and very close to the hustle and bustle of Traverse City and all it has to offer. We're a stone's throw from Black Star Farms as well! The house is located directly across from the private beach. Lee Point Road is generally very calm, but does pick up in the summer due to tourists and cherry season, so it is advised that children have an adult to cross over to the beach.
  • Colleen's lakeside home was a perfect place to relax, take in the beautiful views, and explore the Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes area! She is a very accommodating and responsive host. This is our second visit and we hope to come back soon!

  • We rented Colleen's cabin for a few days while we attended a friend's wedding and it was amazing! The cabin was beautiful, super clean and had everything we needed plus some! Wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely be back!

  • This is the perfect sized house for two small families - especially if you enjoy cooking meals at the house. The kitchen is very big and easily accommodates 2-3 people cooking at the same time! We enjoyed the location (on a relatively quiet road) and the view from the fire pit and the beach was breath-taking. Our children spent lots of time in the water and we all enjoyed the well-manicured beach. Throughout our stay, Colleen was incredibly responsive to our questions - we felt well-cared for throughout our stay!

The house is bright and sunny and is surrounded by lots of mature trees and is located on a quaint and quiet dirt road. Two bedrooms, one has a queen size bed the other has a double. One bath with a Jaccuzzi bathtub. A clean simple well equipped kitchen, brand new stove and refrigerator. Farmers markets in Union Pier and Three Oaks on weekends. Greenbush Brewery in Sawyer. The cottage is close to many quaint small towns. Three Oaks, approximately six miles from the cabin offers antique shopping, galleries, a distillery, movie theater and several restaurants. Sawyer is home to Greenbush Brewery, and Mesa Luna a restaurant which features home grown fare, a grocery store, a clothing store in a former fire station and Sawyer Garden Shop, featuring, fresh produce, a great wine selection and gourmet foods.
  • Loved this place and will be back! Stayed for a long weekend for a friends wedding at Lakeside. The ascetic, which is well represented in the pics, made our stay feel enchanting. Loved the working wood fire stove and despite the damp chill of a rainy October evening felt super comfortable with the great furnace. the whole atmosphere of the area and the many things to discover (like near by Sawyer MI, with breweries, and an organic apple orchard about 20 mins north east of the cabin with an idyllic drive..) were also fantastic. WIFI worked great, easy to plug in devices or use cds for music. Big bathroom, and one huge bedroom and one modest one, each with i think queen size beds.

  • Our experience at Floyd's Cottage was magical. The whimsical and abounding creativity of the space was so inspiring. It is a beautiful house surrounded by nature and close to everything. The screened in porch area was, let's just say, FABULOUS. We ate out there for each meal. The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare a nice dinner, the master bedroom was cozy and refreshing (loved the window behind the bed) and the wood burning stove kept us warm and toasty on a chilly evening. The beach sunsets were incredible, Warren Dunes was amazing and the Canopy Walk, right down the road, was breath taking. Linda and Floyd have put a lot of love and care into this artsy getaway. I can honestly say it felt like home and will definitely return as often as I can.

    Darcel 2015-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Linda was very helpful in finding the cottage and Floyd was there to greet us. There were directions to the beach and other restaurants nearby. The house was clean and decorated so nicely. I honestly love this place, we had such a good (short) visit. We will definitely be back!!

    Jenna2016-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a good time at Linda's place. Relaxing, quiet and stylish place. Close to the lake and dunes. If you like antiques, there are many stores around with amazing treasures.

  • Floyd's Cottage is amazing! The cottage is one of the coziest places that I have ever stayed. It is obvious that Floyd and Linda created Floyd's Cottage with a lot of love; the cottage has a funky, artsy vibe, yet it is totally livable. My friend and I stayed at the cabin with each of our dogs, and there was plenty of space for us. Linda and Floyd were perfect hosts, making sure that we had anything we needed. I cannot wait to go back.

    Ifigenia2013-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved my stay at Floyd's cottage. The cottage was clean, cozy, and perfectly tucked into the woods. Linda and Floyd were great hosts, providing ample information and even keeping us stocked with wood for the stove. The area has a ton of little shops and restaurants—definitely go to Greenbush Brewery, and Whistlestop Grocery has great coffee and pastries. We had friends stay in the cabin while my family stayed in the cottage, and it was a great setup if you need some extra space. My only wish is that the weather would have cooperated with us a little more so we could have taken full advantage of the absolutely amazing wraparound porch. Next time we'll come when it's a little warmer!

    Ryan2013-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a relaxing min (Email hidden by Airbnb) munication with Linda was a breeze and Floyd was working in his carpentry shop when we arrived, so we received a warm welcome. The place is clean and well stocked with all of the essentials. The decor is creative and quirky. We spent quite a bit of time at the beach down the road and borrowed the beach umbrella to keep ourselves shady. Muffins and coffee every morning at Nani's Cafe down the street, falafel at Cafe Gulistan, a little bonfire in the yard at night. Perfect setting for relaxing times. Thanks, Linda and Floyd--we'll be back!

    aimee2015-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is extremely charming and comfortable, it is decorated with a combination of vintage and art furnishings, and with the cozy free standing fireplace, it could not have been nicer. I enjoyed meeting Linda and Floyd, and I found them to be quite hospitable. They are genuinely nice people!

Scandinavian modern home within a wooded setting, convenient to the towns of Leland, Suttons Bay, Northport, and Lake Leelanau. Walk to lake access, hike the cherry orchards, explore local wineries, distilleries and farm markets.
The house comfortably sleeps 6 people, there are two queen beds and two twin beds. There are two full baths and a powder room. The master bath has the soaking tub while the second floor bath has a large shower. The simple euro style kitchen is well equipped for cooking and serving, complete with convection oven, gas cooktop, drawer dishwasher, and refridgerator/freezer. The windows and location gives the feeling of being in a very comfortable treehouse.
The Wayfarer is located between the neighboring home, a wooded area and cherry orchards. Within a short walk there is a very nice public access to Lake Leelanau, a great spot for daily swimming and sunsets. The public access even has a boat dock for meeting up with boating friends.
  • The overall experience was wonderful. The minute we arrived we all decided not to leave the cabin the whole time we were there. It's such a beautiful place, we wanted all of our time spent there. We brought plenty of food for brunch and dinner and utilized the kitchen each day we were there. I have nothing negative to say, it was all perfect. I would recommend it to anyone, and I definitely plan on going back myself.

    Katie2015-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the Wayfarer Treehouse was wonderful! The house is located at a very quiet street and as we were staying there in winter we could see Lake Leelanau through the trees of the adjacent property. Sean is a perfect host and his house is truly beautiful. The house has lots and lots of windows and it really feels like a treehouse as it has fantastic views to the surrounding woods from every room in the house. The house is very spacious and sleeps and accommodates 6 people very conveniently, the spacious living room with the kitchen is a great place to hang out when the weather isn't perfect . The beds and linens are super comfortable, every bathroom has plenty of nice towels and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prepare a great meal. Sean is very easy to communicate with and he genuinely takes care of his guests. Thanks for sharing your fantastic house with us, we will be back soon!

    Claudia2014-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Sean's place was amazing! He was very welcoming in opening his house up to travelers. Everything went smoothly and the trip/stay was perfect: quiet, relaxing, beautiful. Everything we were hoping for. I would definitely recommend Wayfarer. Looking forward to staying again in the future!

    Matthew2015-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Sean was GREAT! He was excellent at communicating and made sure that we were comfortable in every way, shape and form! The house is BEYOND perfect. The kitchen is fully stocked and the bedrooms are extremely cozy. The location is spot on. I feel super lucky to have stayed in this Airbnb! We will definitely be back. I can't wait! Don't hesitate. Book this house!

    Shelley2016-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful and tranquil stay at the Wayfarer house. Sean has created a fantastic retreat, with a unique mid century design aesthetic that's set on a beautiful piece of property. We plan on coming again and definitely recommend the house to anyone looking for a peaceful northwestern Michigan experience.

    Taylor2016-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wayfarer Treehouse was a dream! We needed a little r&r away from the city and this place provided just that in a beautifully designed space. This place had everything you needed and more - we cooked, dined and relaxed - didn't want to leave. Bed was super comfy and linens were excellent. I was a little unsure of temp control being deep winter, but the Treehouse was warm and cozy! Sean really thought of everything in this smart, well designed home. Heavenly year round!

    Lindsay2017-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Family stay in a great spot- quick to Leland and suttons bay. Quiet and very comfortable beds

    Danielle2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Whether your sitting in the tub or cooking on the stove, you feel as if you're outside in the trees in this space. Its simple, clean design makes you feel really peaceful there I think too. Especially if you're use to clutter of any kind! No clutter in this place! I love the European design of cabinets, cupboards etc. I LOVED THE TUB! It is a great place for a get away for 2 or for a small family. Everything was very clean, the kitchen had everything we needed and the bed was comfy too! Everything you need is just a 10 minute drive away to so even though your secluded, there are some really great restaurants, wineries, a grocery store with organic food and everything you need! Thanks Sean!

Furnished cottage that is steps to the public beach & restaurants in Charlevoix. 2 Beds/1 Bath. Futon pulls out into a bed. WIFI. Back deck. A great place to hang your hat & enjoy a great vacation. Please check calendar for specials. Central Air and Furnace just added in Summer of 2017. New flooring added in 2018. Great location just steps from retail and the beach. WIFI. Freshly painted. Comfortable furniture and beds. Claw foot bathtub in the bathroom with an add-on shower. No longer pet friendly due to too much difficulty with cleaning.
The City of Charlevoix, also known as Charlevoix the Beautiful, is located in Charlevoix County in beautiful northwest Michigan. The City borders picturesque Round Lake, Lake Michigan, and Lake Charlevoix. Charlevoix provides residents and visitors with opportunities to golf, boat, sail, ski, skateboard, listen to music and enjoy beaches or parks.
  • The cottage was spotless and very cozy. Excellent location within walking distance to the main street with many cute shops and restaurants. The host was very friendly and organized. Great find!

    Meredith2014-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Justin's place is a wonderful place to stay in Charlevoix. Justin was extremely accommodating with our arrival and checkout. The house is located in a quiet community. The beds are some of the most comfortable I've stayed in at an air b&b. Even the futon was comfortable. The house is a bit older and the floor squeaks a little, but that wasn't a big deal. The bathroom could use a few touch ups for esthetics, but I'm being picky. Overall a great stay in a beautiful community.

    Brad2017-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Justin was a great host! Very helpful and even allowed for an early check in. Super cozy cottage that was perfect for my boyfriend and I and our pup for my birthday weekend getaway. Even though it was pretty gloomy we still walked downtown and enjoyed exploring rather than having to drive. Great stay!

    Sydney2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay in Charlevoix! Justin is a great host who stays on top of the ball from booking, to check in, and to check out. Very clean and cozy home with great walking distance to the shops and restaurants in downtown Charlevoix. I highly recommend and I'm looking forward to staying again in the future!

    Steven2018-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, very clean house that is super close to everything!!! Wish we had more time to stay and enjoy the beautiful town and surround area.

    Marie2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Justin is an awesome host! I decided to spend a day in Charlevoix after a weekend watching/crewing the Lighthouse 100 race, and Justin was so flexible in letting me park a car at the cottage a day early. I stayed, with my runner friend and her pacer. The beds were so comfortable, and we had everything we needed. Check in was super convenient, as Justin had an online (un)locking system. Instructions were clearly displayed, yet the place still felt like home. It didn't register to me what a claw foot bath tub was, until my (stiff) runner friend joked that I should have warned her ahead of time, because she had trouble entering and exiting the tall tub after her 100 mile race.

    Huilin2017-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, great value.

    Diane2018-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Justin's place was great. It was close to downtown Charlevoix and was a very convenient central location for our day trips to Traverse City, the tunnel of trees, and Petosky. Justin was very responsive and the check-in process was straight forward. The cottage was very clean and the amenities were exactly as described in his post. We would definitely recommend staying at Justin's place if you are in the area.

  • I would have rated Karl 6 or more stars if possible. His communication and hospitality were both outstanding. The place was spotless, the setting peaceful and beautiful, and the facilities tastefully appointed. I highly recommend Karl’s place.

    Sheryl2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Karl was a fantastic host. His place was more than advertised. He provided great information for things to do around town and was extremely helpful. I would highly recommend staying at Karl's place you won't be disappointed.

    Derek2016-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Karl's place was great for our group. We loved hanging out in the big backyard. Thanks!

  • Stayed with a few girlfriends and had a great time, the house is very nice and we were all impressed. I'll be back again!

    Lori2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Karl was very attentive to us and went over and above our expectations. He came and set up the stereo for us, started our bond fire, gave us tips of where to go out to eat and places to hang out. Every time I asked him for something he got back to me right away. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this place.

    Lisa2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Karl is a great host, nice quiet secluded location. Would return in the future.

    Adam2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Karl was always present offering assistance and recommendations. His home was very clean and met our needs for the weekend. We had 3 couples enjoy wine and beer tasting (great location!) in the area and were very comfortable.

    JODI2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed Karl's home surrounded by woods. It is remote enough to have privacy and quiet but within 15 min of several things to do. We really enjoyed the sunset at Weko Beach park and dining at a couple of the brewerys (The Public House and Greenbush Brewery). Karl is available most of the time but very respectful when it come to space and privacy. His home is very clean and comfortable. The only thing that caused some frustration was the Internet service. I don't think there is anything that can be done about it with the location of the home but if you are heavily reliant on it for work or entertainment it would be difficult. I somewhat enjoyed having more of my teenagers' attention because of the Internet issues but trying to stream a program through chromecast to watch as a family was practically impossible. Karl has a wide area of land with a pond and fire pit to enjoy the outdoors and there are several wineries in the area. I would recommend this place to others.

This second- story, custom built cabin in the middle of a cherry orchard has huge windows that allow for great natural light. Polished concrete countertops and floors with radiant heat. Sleeps 6. One bath. Shared hot tub. Large decks. Basic kitchen. Please read this listing completely.
Up north at its best! The Treehouse sits on a pond among the birch and pines in a working cherry orchard. Built by my husband and me, with a whole lot of help from many friends, it clearly has love in the details. Large windows bring the daylight in and allow for dreamy star- gazing - maybe even the northern lights! Six person outdoor hot tub is shared with the cabin also on property. Locally made art. Big garden. Access to trails for hiking, groomed cross- country ski trails, and mountain biking all around the orchard and ponds. Minutes to Lake Michigan and Torch Lake beaches. The cabin makes a great getaway for couples and families. There is a sleeping loft which can sleep four and a private bedroom which sleeps two. Limited kitchen has a smart oven, countertop two burner range, microwave, sink, coffee maker, electric frying pan and refrigerator. The Treehouse can be rented in conjunction with The Cabin at Rocky Top Farms. Towels and linens are provided. You must have four- wheel drive to access the Treehouse in the winter, or plan to hike the 1/4 mile from the barn. Please note! This is a cabin and not a traditional treehouse! We don't mean to mislead with the name- The Treehouse is what we have always called it. *Please read this listing entirely!
We adore our very rural neighborhood! Just a couple miles from both Torch Lake and Lake Michigan-beaches abound! Ask us about our favorite spots. Hiking and paddling opportunities are plentiful. We are not far from XC, downhill skiing and snowboarding in the winter. Rocky Top Farms is centrally located between Traverse City and Petoskey. We are located just off 31N. Our nearest towns are Elk Rapids, Bellaire, and Charlevoix, and East Jordan. The closest villages are Torch Lake, Ellsworth, and Central Lake. There are so many things to check out while visiting- or- just laze around the farm!
  • Our host Hiedi was excellent very accommodating and was very quick to answer questions we had. Also gave us great tips on the town and great places to visit

    Connor2015-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at the Treehouse! The location was perfect, the host very responsive and the house itself really cute and comfortable! We got to spend time in Charlevoix, Petoskey and Traverse City--it's in the middle of everywhere--but also spent a lot of time at Rocky Top Farms because it was such a pleasant place to be. We will be back!

    Sarah2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Such a perfect place to stay with your family or friends. Relaxing and quiet.

  • This was our second stay in Heidi's amazing apple orchard. She was incredibly generous and helpful throughout our whole stay. Beautiful cabin in a beautiful location hosted by an amazing person. Thanks again Heidi!

    Ron2014-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a long weekend at The Treehouse and it was everything we hoped it would be -- the perfect combination of rustic and modern. If you seek peace and quiet, it's ideal. If you want a comfortable base camp for day trips to Lake Michigan, Mackinac Island and other spots, it's also ideal. Heidi was an excellent, attentive host. Although we didn't get the chance to meet her, she stayed in close touch prior to our arrival and during our stay. She left the cabin open for us on the evening of our arrival, with a few lights on and a jar of delicious cherry-berry preserves on the dining room table (we bought four more jars of Rocky Top preserves and fruit butters from the self-serve gift shop when we left). As others have noted, there's a second cabin a stone's throw from the Treehouse. But we heard no noise from its occupants, and hardly knew anyone was there. The Treehouse does not have internet access or cable television, which was fine with us because we were seeking an escape from that. We didn't avail ourselves of the shared hot tub, but did enjoy the deep soaking tub in the cabin itself (a nice, unexpected design touch). My wife and I would love to return to Rocky Top for a longer stay, and are even kicking around the idea of renting both cabins and inviting other members of our family to join us.

    Chris2014-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Rocky Top farm is a secluded, calm place. Our cabin was very earthy yet modern. They catered to us and even had toys for our kids. Loved that the bathroom was fully stocked and even had good coffee! We will definitely be back in the warmer months

    Kelsey2018-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful, clean, peaceful and welcoming cottage. We had a great weekend exploring the farm and the surrounding area. Heidi- it was such a pleasure meeting you. Thank you for taking the time to share your story and family farm with us. We will certainly be back!

    Allison2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • After a lovely stay at the neighboring cabin last year, my partner and I (+ our dog) decided to try out the Treehouse for our last minute long weekend getaway... and we're very glad we did! Like our last airbnb experience with Heidi, everything was impeccably clean, Heidi gave us all the information we needed, and check in/out was very easy. It was so great being able to bring our dog with us, and we were very glad for the hand written notes and recommendations we found inside to help us find a dog-friendly beach, plus some restaurants in Charlevoix. We'll definitely be back!

Beautiful land, rustic, comfortable home, quiet & private! Take a hot tub at sunset looking out over property, cook in our great kitchen; have a campfire at night. Oh yeah, really nice bedrooms w/sliding glass doors. Listen to the wind thru pines.
Our four-season dwelling is on 4 acres of gardens, pines, and ponds. One small Japanese pond, and a really big pond out back which goes up and down with the river. That's the Galien River which is at the west end of the property. A very comfortable hot tub (2 seater and great jets!) is just outside one of the bedrooms on the porch with a lovely view of the land. It feels like more than 4 acres because there are blueberry fields all around and you can't see or hear any of the neighbors. We have 40 mature organic blueberry bushes ourselves which are free for the picking from July-Sept. There is a pet fee of $20/night. The home has 2 bedrooms. The Master bedroom has a Queen size bed and a small sofa bed. The other bedroom has a trundle bed with 2 twin beds that can connect or not. In the living room is a long sofa bed that folds down to become a full bed. Really comfortable. We also have two Queen size raised air beds which can be set up in the living room, in a big a 4-person tent outside in the summer, or on the porch. 2 bathrooms, one with a marble walk-in shower and the other with an old fashioned laid-back bathtub. And- a fantastic record collection of Classic Jazz and Modern Classical albums! Home has a beautiful kitchen with a big stainless steel refrigerator, great stove, lots of cooking tools and lots of space for creating great meals. Plus a few Weber BBQ's outside for grilling. All rooms have sliding glass doors looking out to the whole property. The big screen porch (14'x26') is great. We eat and even watch TV out there, which is a LEDHD TV. (Streaming available) - Or play the piano? The house is all wireless, ceiling fans in all the rooms and on porch, and air conditioning/central heat. Great for a romantic and peaceful getaway, a small wedding, honeymoon, family reunions or small retreat groups. Three Oaks is only 90 minutes from Chicago in beautiful Harbor Country, with sparkling beaches, art galleries, great restaurants, dunes and hiking trails. Sometimes we love the winter even more than the summer out here...with the cozy fireplace and tons of firewood at your disposal- or use the fire pit and have a campfire outside. You can even cross-country ski right out back and down the little slope to the river! You will not want to leave when you're here. No one does.
Since I've been here for almost 30 years, I know all my neighbors and we're all good friends. I've always felt very safe in this neighborhood. Everyone looks out for each other. (It's a good way to live.)
  • Great place to stay - Donna was very attentive to our needs. The home is off the beaten path. As a result - a very peaceful place to stay. Exactly what we were looking for to escape Chicago!

    Rob2013-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second trip back to the Blueberry Fields House. Just as lovely in May as it is in August. I enjoyed the hot tub, cozy bed, nighttime frog serenades and longs walks. Always a respite and always a place to look forward to again and again!

    Katie2014-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Donna's home is absolutely cozy and relaxing. This is the perfect place for relaxation and retreat. Definitely bring slippers because the floor is cold. Donna stays in a trailer on the land but we never met. One thing to note- there is an added pet fee of $20 per pet per night that wasn't listed but after requesting the booking, Donna asked us to leave it in cash on the table. That didn't feel right to us and we would have stayed somewhere else if we had known about this fee sooner. However, the whole experience was nice and I would recommend staying here if you're looking for a country getaway. The fireplace and hot tub were the best. Bright stars at night, the sounds of birds all the time, and the occasional spider inside the house....all part of country living.

    Alibaster2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Donna is great at communicating with you about anything you need. A nice rustic, eclectic place in a great location to beach, wineries, and three oaks. A quiet, secluded home with a charm of its own and a great view of the sunset out the back porch.

    Carolyn2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very relaxing and beautiful. Had everything I needed. Loved the screened in porch. Thankful for the relaxation. Great place to stay

    Elliot2015-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience! Beautiful property inside and out. Donna was an unexpected treat -- not at all intrusive, but we absolutely enjoyed our all-too-brief conversation w/ her. Fun place to relax w/ everything you need to stay in & on the property but also so close to so many attractions in Harbor Country. We love Greenbush Brewery and Journeyman Distillery and Oink's Dutch Treat, among other beach and town activities. Would definitely highly recommend and hope to return again w/ our family. P.S. There were 10 of us from 60 - 2 months. We made full use of every space and all were comfortable without feeling on top of each other.

    Julie2016-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! About 10 minutes to Warren dunes so perfect for a beach weekend. The house is on a large property with a great back yard that includes a fire pit for use if desired. Itsa very calm area without much traffic going by so you can really enjoy peace and quiet and nature. The kitchen/living room are open and a great size to hang out with a large group family/friends that are staying there. Perfect for cooking meals in. The host is friendly and accommodating- great to work with!

    Jaimi2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of the best weekends we have had in awhile. Donna's house is everything you need for relaxing and getting rid of some stress. Great kitchen to use but her house is about 10 minutes away from a great brewery (Greenbush). We hope to come back this summer and pick blueberries. I highly recommend staying here!

Very clean. Simply and tastefully furnished. Plenty of natural light, wood flooring. One bedroom with queen-size bed. Sofa (not a pull-out) in the sitting room can provide extra sleep space. No kitchen, but space is furnished with a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster. Flat-screen TV. Cable and wifi access. Please visit the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce website for more information on the area.
  • Andrea greeted us at the door, made sure to fufill our every need. The accomodations are excellent, and we have already recommended her to multiple people. We hope we can make it back as we got engaged during our stay. Thank you Andrea!

  • We loved our stay in the Loft! We were only in town for a one night on business but Andrea worked with us on short-notice and made us feel so welcome. The Loft was cozy, clean, quiet, and equipped with a lovely unique bathroom! Andrea stocked the Loft with everything we needed; extra bottled water, coffee for the morning, clean linens, board games, a selection of movies and more. An excellent stay all around, we would highly recommend both the space and the host (:

  • Great place! Super comfy our host made us feel like we were home. So nice.

  • This place was very beautiful and conveniently located to a nice little town. Our family of 5 walked to downtown Petoskey 3 times during our stay to check out the shops, restaurants and parks. We would definitely recommend this place!

  • Andrea was very welcoming and the accommodations were great! We will definitely be looking to book this rental in the future!

    Stefani2015-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience with Andrea was fantastic. She was flexible with our arrival time. The accommodation was extremely clean, full of light and well taking care of. Well decorated with great taste. I was very happy to see a nice hand soap (Method) and Clarins small bottles for shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, which reminded me of France, my native country. Andrea met us when we arrived and showed us quickly around. She was well organized and respected our privacy. I could tell she was available to help us if we had any extra request. I also liked the fact that there was plenty of supplies so nothing would run out. The location is great as it is walking distance from the water and the downtown area, so dinner is available within walking distance. The neighborhood was very safe and clean. I would definitely recommend this location to other travelers and friends. It is a quiet, safe and very clean spot.

  • Staying with Andrea in her cozy loft will be the easiest experience you've ever had! She is efficient, available, professional yet very laid-back. Flexibility was the theme for my trip, not desiring at all to be on a schedule. Andrea was very accommodating regarding my changing arrival time. I very much appreciated that. The space was immaculate. Comfortable contemporary and clean! You have complete privacy. She offered refrigeration, a microwave, tea and snacks in the morning which helped me to get my day started quicker. This location is within walking distance to the very charming downtown of Petoskey. I have already recommended her space to several friends and family. I know they won't be disappointed!

Welcome to Esther House. We took a 1930's catalog vacation cabin and turned it into an inviting 2 bedroom retreat home. We are steps to the Spring Lake Beach and Village, bike paths, a 2.5 mile bike or car ride to the beaches of Grand Haven.
This charming, fully rehabbed 2 bedroom home makes for the perfect getaway, and the best alternative to a Hotel/Motel in the area. Although the footprint of Esther house is small, we offer 1100 sq ft of comfort over the basement, main level and lofted bedroom, designed with easy and comfortable living in mind. A fully stocked custom kitchen with high-end appliances, granite breakfast bar and an open plan to the cozy living/dining room. Small dinette table seats four. The living room has a comfortable sofa, reading chair and 42" TV. No cable, but its hooked up to stream all your favorites. In the basement we have a brand new bedroom with a queen sized bed, nightstands and dresser. A separate utility area with washer/dryer. Nice and quite fenced back yard with a cement patio.
The home is located in historic Strawberry Pointe area of Spring Lake, Michigan. The area is littered with these small cabins that once served as hunting and fishing vacation homes in the 30's, 40's and 50's. We are walking distance to the Spring Lake public beach, the expansive bike trails of the area and to the Village Baker (a must visit for great baked goods, fantastic brunch and dinners, as well as a great cup of coffee!!)
  • The house was gorgeous and impeccably designed throughout- comfortable beds, cute decor and plenty of character. Very comfortable and loved the close proximity to Grand Haven. Close to a cute breakfast joint- great food and hospitality.

  • Stunning home with very nice touches everywhere you look. There was nothing more we could have asked for, Frederick was kind and available anytime we needed him. It was a wonderful stay.

    Tom2018-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to relax and unwind! Very clean, cozy and well decorated. Just a short walk to Spring Lake and a great bike path. The place has two nice bedrooms, but both have low ceilings. Didn't bother my wife or I, but if you're on the tall side, you might be bothered. I would certainly recommend this place to my family and friends.

Country getaway! Located 1/2way between 2 small towns: Pinckney and Howell. Near Nature and Recreation areas. Our place is secluded and along a private road - but shopping restaurants and highway for commute are only 10 minutes away. Only 1/2 hour -45 minutes to Downtown Ann Arbor and University of Michigan. Our Private Lake (no public launch) is GREAT for fishing, swimming, kayak and canoeing. Birds and wildlife abound. Peace and quiet given and expected! Available all year round - in the winter there is skiing nearby - either cross country or downhill. Four bedroom and 4 full baths, fireplace, open floorplan with open kitchen/great room with vaulted ceiling, wrap-around deck and wrap around patio off walk-out finished basement. Fully furnished and well-appointed kitchen. Laundry room, game room stocked with card and board games, bookshelves full of books, 2 TVs with DVD players and large movie collection (no cable TV and NO INTERNET service unless you bring your own hotspot via cell phone.) We also have a firepit with sit-upon logs for roasting marshmallows or weenies.. We have a shore area, 2 rowboats, a 4-person paddleboat, and a 2-person kayak for exploring the private 82-acre lake.
Rural location for those wishing for a place "off the beaten path" and surrounded by nature. I do have neighbors, but am on almost 2 acres nestled into the side of a hill, along a private road, with 200ft lakefront on small sleepy lake. Our little private road is paved, but narrow. No parking on the street, plenty of parking in my long driveway, 4-6 cars easily.
  • Recently my girlfriends and I had a girls weekend at her cottage and we had a WONDERFUL time. Susan is VERY accommodating and the property is perfect for a get away. I was running late getting to the property and she waited for me hours after I was supposed to arrive to show me around. That was really amazing. The only thing we were a little disappointed with was the beach, as the plants and grass were overgrown and the water had a lot of seaweed (something that might not bother others, and only a minor thing to us), but all in all I highly recommend staying here. I know I'll be back!

    Brittany2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lots of space! She has everything you need for the stay and lake.

    Christina2018-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a wonderful, kld-friendly house! Our 4-, 5-, and 7-year-old loved paddling in the lake and playing with the board games and other children's toys in the home. And, it was so nice to be someplace with out internet or TV for a couple of days—made it a very memorable time with family. The host is very responsive and helpful if you have any concerns during your stay. Highly recommend!

    Jenny2018-04-29T00:00:00Z

  • Very pleasant. Had a great time.

    Bob2014-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Susan was very accommodating with our last minute reservation and meeting up with her to get the keys. When we encountered a problem at her home, she was very prompt with responding to our text messages even though it was later in the evening. With the mild weather, we were even able to use the boat that had been left out to take advantage of the warm weather. Great space to accommodate a large group.

    Cyndi2015-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • The house was great and true to the listing details, and the property was beautiful and quiet - a perfect spot for a weekend getaway. Susan was easy to get in touch with prior to our visit, and made us feel right at home when we arrived.

    Jenn2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Susan was great! She explained things very well. House was great, yard was great! We thought the "beach" was a little lacking. No sand outside of the water. But the lake is beautiful and quiet. The people that we did see were friendly. The town is cute and nice and had everything we needed.

  • My cousins and I spent a four day weekend at the farmhouse. We could not have enjoyed the house and all the amenities in it more! The attention to detail that Sean has paid to this property is amazing. This house is SO cozy! You will not be disappointed if you decide to book your getaway here! So many delicious restaurants and winery's close by that you won't be wanting for anything except for more time spent here!!! Could not have asked for an easier airbnb experience! Thanks again!

    Becki2015-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The driveway was plowed and the house spotlessly clean when we arrived. There was plenty of wood for the wood stove, which was great, because it was cold - below 20 degrees our entire 5-day stay. It was cosy inside, though. Sean was available for any questions, though we didn't have any. Really nice rental property!

    Patricia2013-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • We are hesitant to post this review because since our stay, we have been pretending that Sean's place is actually our own private farmhouse. But, Sean deserves another great review so we have decided to be adults and post this for him. We have stayed at many rental properties in the last few years. The holy grail of a rental experience equals a perfect property AND a perfect host. We found the holy grail in Michigan. The property: Sean's property itself is in a dream location (rolling farmland, vineyards, beautiful trees, water views just down from the house). The farmhouse is decorated beautifully - the historic elements of the farmhouse have been preserved while appropriately modern finishes have been added. My wife probably took 1000 pictures of the place over the course of our stay, as she kept exclaiming, "This is EXACTLY how I would have decorated this place!" Beyond the beauty of the house itself, there are many unique aspects of the property that make for a true serene retreat - the sauna, the chicken coop, the firepit, the chef's kitchen, the radiant floor heating. The host: Sean was so incredibly generous and welcoming. He emailed us prior to our visit, saying that he was looking forward to hosting us. When we arrived, we couldn't believe his lack of "house rules" - his basic mantra was, "Enjoy the property and whatever is here." We have stayed at properties in the past where there are so many "DO NOT or We will fine you" rules, that you are afraid to even breathe in the home. Sean's hosting falls at the other end of the spectrum - you truly feel as if you are staying in a friend's house, where the policy is "What's mine is yours." Needless to say, we are already planning a return visit in the future. Thank you Sean for an incredible getaway!

    Tom2013-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Sean's house truly lives up to the hype. It is an amazing place -- the setting is perfectly rustic, but the house itself has all the amenities you could want and is incredibly well designed. We can't wait to get back here soon!

    Cindy2014-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • The farmhouse was magical. We had a lovely time. Our twin toddler boys had a fantastic time and we all truly relaxed. We loved the house so much that we couldn't wait to get back there after a couple hours exploring the cute local towns and wineries. We enjoyed Fishtown in Leland, Tandem Ciders and Blustone Winery. Sean was extremely accessible and very hospitable. The kitchen was well stocked - even my husband (who brought his own microplane) was impressed. The house is extremely well designed with all elements well-consider. Super comfortable and really just perfect all around. Highly recommended and we hope to come back.

    Stephanie2014-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Sean's farmhouse was the ideal location for a small family gathering. From the moment we arrived, everything was in immaculate condition and we felt nothing but relaxed. The kitchen is truly amazing, we cooked some authentic italian pasta and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and more. As a wedding planner, this space is absolutely perfect for staying with your bridal party if your wedding is in Leelanau County. The sauna is magical. And the tub. and the fireplace. Take me back!

    Rachel2014-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience with Sean and The farmhouse was beyond wonderful. The house and land are gorgeous. Sean was incredibly accommodating and we feel so lucky that he allowed us to share his property with our loved ones for our wedding celebration. We plan on many future return visits. Thank you!

    Elizabeth2014-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • A 7 minute drive from downtown Suttons Bay took us to an absolutely amazing destination for our week's vacation. The property was peaceful and extremely well maintained, overlooking cherry orchards and Lake Michigan in the background. The home itself was remarkable. The kitchen was well appointed and made for a fun, open gathering spot. The living room was very comfortable and relaxing. The bedrooms and baths were very clean and well decorated. The owner obviously went to great detail to ensure his guests were comfortable and happy, and we were that and more! Thanks for our wonderful accommodations, we will definitely be back!!

This private studio suite acquires the best area of our 100+ year old house. A modified parlor and sunroom with traditional glass windows overlook historic Heritage Hill. Minutes from downtown, you'll be able to experience the best of Grand Rapids!
Our private studio suite is located within what we jokingly call the "East Wing" of our 100+ year old home. It has its own front door and is locked off from the rest of the house, so you'll be able to rest at ease knowing that you won't be sharing with others. Traditional glass windows wrap around the sunroom, creating a perfect place to drink coffee in the morning and sit on the couch while the sun sets. The suite offers a full kitchen and bathroom with a queen size bed.
Our neighborhood is part of the historical Heritage Hill district of Grand Rapids. Home owners in this area go to great lengths to keep up to code to preserve the aesthetics of this old neighborhood. A half block away is the Meyer May House designed by Frank Llyod Wright and is considered Michigan's Prairie masterpiece.
  • Neat, crisp spot. Definitely recommend. Cody really took the time to consider all the details... phone chargers, medicine in the cupboard, even basic condiments in the refrigerator, and candy! The neighborhood is quiet and lovely, and very close to multiple city centers.

The Grand Mere Coach House is in an eclectic neighborhood surrounded by Lake Michigan, small lakes, and sand dunes. Grand Mere Park is a year around beautiful place for walking, cross country skiing, and sledding. The family room and kitchen face Lake Michigan with lots of windows. The house has a queen bedroom, queen pullout in family room, and laundry. A bird feeder adds to the charm. There is also a HOT TUB located on the back patio directly on Lake Michigan, behind the main house.
The coach house is on the Lake with a view of Lake Michigan and normally a beach. It has a full kitchen a living room with a queen pullout and a queen bedroom and bath. Grand Mere State Park is very close containing 600 acres of dunes, trails and several thousand feet of beach. Note: Lake Michigan is currently at very high levels and we have to access the beach from the public beach 100' to the south. The beach is still walkable all of the way to the south into the state park.
Grand Mere is an eclectic neighborhood in between Lake Michigan and 2 inland lakes. Grand Mere State Park containing 600 acres of lakes and dunes is next (website hidden). Joseph, New Buffalo, and wine country are within 15 minutes.
  • John is a friendly, attentive host who gives you your space. The carriage house is perfect for a couple looking to enjoy the private Lake Michigan beach just steps away. The dune hiking trails of Grand Mere State Park are a short walk south down the beach. It's a 15-minute drive north to the dining, nightlife and large public beach of St. Joseph, Michigan.

    Patrick2015-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at John's coachhouse. As before, he was a wonderful host and made it very easy to coordinate plans. The house was very clean and had all of the accommodations we needed for our two night stay. And the view is beautiful!

    Megan2016-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place was AMAZING! The unit itself was immaculate and the view from the back porch on to the lake was beautiful. Greatly enjoyed our stay and John was very attentive and helpful. Overall a very relaxing getaway that we will want to repeat in the near future. Thank you!

  • Very quiet and centrally located for exploring nature trails and going to the lakeside beaches. There are water views from the cottage porch and you can walk out to the cliff overlooking the lake in his backyard. Very relaxing and peaceful place to stay. We stayed with our 1 year old and though he didn't have a crib we just brought our own.

    Rachel2017-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • The experience was great. The property is well kept and exactly as advertised. Being able to walk out to the beach was great, and just footsteps from the grand mere park. John communicated well, and we always felt well taken care of.

    Josh2016-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved our stay here! We felt very comfortable and at home! Great size kitchen with appliances and a grill! Very cozy little home. We enjoyed the beautiful view, bonfire and hot tub :) We would love to come back and definitely recommend for friends and family.

    Jamie2016-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first Airbnb experience and I couldn't be happier. My wife and I stayed at John's wonderful place this past weekend for her birthday. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting John but he was always available by text and left very easy-to-follow and helpful instructions. The house itself is great. And the location is hard to beat. Any closer to the water and we'd be wet! There's a cool beach town a few minutes north called St. Josephs but try to be home for sunset which is more beautiful if you're sitting in the jacuzzi. We visited a lot of places on Johns guidebook including the Round Barn Winery. It's a great time if you enjoy drinking a glass of wine while sitting in the grass listening to live music. We also had dinner at Timothy's. The atmosphere wasn't amazing but the food was! We did as much as we could in the 24 hours we were there. Still, on the way back to Chicago my wife says to me, "I wish we would have spent more time at the house." lol. Thanks for hosting us John. And thanks for accepting a first time reservation. Because of this experience, I can't wait to use Airbnb again.

The perfect home for a laid back group of friends, couples or a family to stay with all the comforts of being at home. In the morning, grab treats from the neighborhood bakery, Common Good, and plan your day exploring hiking trails, beaches, craft breweries and world-class wineries. Grab bikes and ride the 1.3 miles to Downtown Traverse City and West Bay to enjoy everything that is great about Northern Michigan: shops, views, dining, drinks, and more!
My home is your home for your stay. Your space includes 3 quaintly decorated bedrooms with empty closets for storage and plenty of space to settle in for your stay. The kicthen, dining room and living room have been recently updated and include all the essentials from home plus lots of unique details from my travels. The lower unit gym includes a new treadmill, free weights, bench and space for yoga.
Our neighborhood is called, "SoFo" because it is the area in town Traverse City south of 14th Street. Located at the edge of a quiet residential area with a grocery store, ice cream shop, whiskey tasting room, brewery, bagel shop, party store and some simple take out places: sushi, pizza, Chinese and sandwiches. We're only 4 blocks to Old Town and 1 miles to Downtown Traverse City.
  • Everything was great and very homey feeling

  • Marta was fantastic! There was some confusion on our end about dates of arrival and Marta took care of everything. She made sure our trip continued without a hiccup! The "SoFo Place" is super cute and was a great location for a weekend in Traverse City! There was plenty of space and Marta even provided us with some snacks which my future brother in law took full advantage of! We will definitely be returning!

    Matt2018-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay in Traverse City as it's just a little out of the city and has a great yard for a dog to run around! The house was nice and the ideal place for someone looking for a dog-friendly stay. There is a huge fenced in yard. You can walk into town but it is a decent walk, about 25 minutes into the center of town, through neighborhoods. The only downside is that it is a split level house, meaning that there will be someone staying downstairs or upstairs and it can be noisy during any hour. Marta was a great host and responsive to us.

    Jordan2015-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed overnight in Traverse City for a little girls getaway & Marta's place was perfect for what we needed - super cute & convenient to everything!

  • Our stay at the cabin was absolutely wonderful. The wood stove kept the cabin warm and we spent hours sitting in the chairs in front of the fire just talking. Breakfast was delicious. Mully & Deb were excellent hosts. We will definitely be returning in the future.

  • Deb and Mully were great hosts! Very welcoming into their home. Holding to the bed AND BREAKFAST part of AirBnB was a nice touch! (pancakes were delicious :) Location was exactly as described and was a great reprieve from city life.

  • Deb and Mully were great hosts. We has such a wonderful time during our peaceful stay in the cabin. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. If you're looking for some time away from your busy schedule, look no further than Deb and Mully's place!!!!

    Breanne2017-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful short stay at the cabin. It was exactly as described, and we could not have been happier. Mully & Deb were great hosts, giving us a warm and welcoming check-in but then quickly giving us our privacy, too. The breakfast was fresh and truly delicious. We walked on the trails nearby and enjoyed the quiet of the woods. As long as you read carefully about the toilet situation (which, to be honest I didn't until after booking the cabin. Though it was not an issue for us) and are comfortable with that, you will not be disappointed. It really is a very special place. We would return for another stay anytime.

  • This little gem is well exactly as described and proved to be the perfect retreat for me. I live only an hour away in the city grid and the hideaway was nestled in the woods...off grid yes, but rustic no, it was like a cozy bedroom in the woods ! The Woodstove was easy to use and the bed was super comfy with flannel sheets, the breakfast was OMG delicious and prepared with skill and love and strong flavorful coffee ; ) however if you stay here and don't take advantage of the trails you are missing half of the beauty. Right outside the cabin is access to many trails and so many wonderful views. Deer, birds and pristine Michigan wetlands! Mully and Deb put a lot of love and care into this space and I am so glad to have found it...I know if they'll have me I'll be back!

    Tina2015-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Mully and Deb's cabin on the path was an amazingly peaceful retreat! It was exactly like the pictures; but the pictures can't give you the literal all around atmosphere this place creates in your being! There is something about the quietness, except for the sounds of nature, and the deep darkness after the sun sets that brings you back to what's important in life! Mully and Deb were very welcoming and pleasant, when we arrived they had drinking water set out for us which was a nice touch, and then they spoiled my boy friend and I for breakfast, even adding a candle and singing Happy Birthday to Matt! You can tell Mully and Deb put love into everything they do, and it was a real treat getting to sit back and enjoy this rare experience! Matt and I can't wait to come back!

    Amanda2016-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Hanuman's Cabin on the path is a delightful getaway! Bring a good book and hiking shoes, and you'll be very happy. Mully and Deb have thought of many details, like including cozy slippers and plenty of book reading lights. It gets quite dark, but the candles provided gave off surpisingly good light (bringing a camping headlight might be helpful too). We didn't want to leave after just one night. You'll wake up to views of nature on three sides and strong coffee and delicious breakfast. Tip: bring waterless hand sanitizer! I've always wanted the Victorian experience of washing my hands with a pitcher and basin, but it turns out it is a little tricky to get all the soap off without wasting all the water!

Heart of Downtown TC on Union Street at the corner of Union and State! This Rustic Modern Loft is located just behind front street, only a block from the beach and everything that downtown Traverse City has to offer. Restaurants, festivals, coffee shops, movie theaters, you name it.
This iconic 130 year old building was once home to a printing press. Its towering brick walls stand 12 feet tall and were hand made using clay that is unmistakable to our area, from the waters of Cedar Lake just west of Downtown. The tasteful renovation included the restoration of the original old growth maple floors throughout, plus the repurposing of historic doors, windows, fixtures, and local barn wood beams and boards, as well as many custom pieces from local artisans.
This block is in the heart of downtown, set less than a block behind Front Street on Union. Multiple restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and all sorts of retail are within just a few steps out the door.
  • The Loft was perfect for our visit to traverse city. Saburi was an amazing host and extremely accommodating. His loft is beautiful and in a great location for walking around downtown. I would definitely recommend your place to friends and family! -KP

  • Saburi is a wonderful host. Super nice, reachable, and relaxed. The space was wonderful, great location to downtown and all the fun spots. The finishing touches on that place, perfect! I didn't want to leave, I even bought the blanket he has used to accessorize the room because it is the best ever. Paul and I joked that it was our home. Saburi and us talked of renovating the space to include a kitchenette. Great. Wonderful. Rasing the bar.

  • Amazing loft. Very clean and the host was great with suggestions for food. Close to everything downtown and we walked everywhere which was nice. Great place to have a quick getaway for the weekend.

  • An amazing space where you can park your car and walk every where you need to go downtown.

    Kyle2018-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Loft was a great place to stay if you wanted to experience downtown Traverse City. All of the restaurants and nightlife are very close, as well as shopping. The space was beautiful and clearly well taken care of. A little tricky to find at first but an overall great experience!

Floyd's Cabin is a spacious rustic loft style one bedroom cottage with kitchen, extra large living room, wood burning stove Long front porch spanning the entire front of the cabin.Screened porch which overlooks the woods. Located in Lakeside,Michigan on a quiet gravel road, surrounded by a forest of mature trees on all sides. Air conditioning in bedroom, which spills over into the living (Website hidden by Airbnb) fan in living room. Wifi a bit sketchy in the cabin but a good signal is available in and around the cottage (100 ft from the cabin) We're working on that. There are great restaurants, a micro brewery, art galleries, antique shops a short drive away. Warren Dunes is four miles from the cabin. Lake Michigan Pier Ave. Beach is a few blocks from the cabin. It's a short walk or bike ride away. Pick blueberries in the summer or shop at nearby farmers markets for fresh produce. Pick apples or pumpkins in the fall. • Linda and Floyd were very nice people, the place was quiet and relaxing. The stayed in touch with us and were very helpful. We really enjoyed their artwork and furniture. We did have some interesting issues that did affect our first day and night. Linda did eventually correct them, however I would have liked for them to be more proactive about it. I felt like it was on us to make the situation right and ask for what we felt like we needed. We kept waiting for them to say "sorry this is happening" or "we want to make this right for you". Things were set right, but if you are going to have people stay with you I think the laid back approach is maybe not the best approach. For the place itself, it was not as clean as we would have liked and it is a bit more "rustic" than the pictures let on, in regards to the condition of the place. We had to rewash all the dishes before using them and there was dog/cat hair on all the furniture. I think a nice good cleaning needs to happen in-between times, it would make all the difference. Still a nice, relaxing place. Close to lots of things and the beach. We ate a great restaurant called Rachel's Cafe, that was the best breakfast! She is a wonderful chef.

    Amber2015-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Funky cozy cottage in the woods where you feel very far removed from the big city. the cottage is well equipped and very spacious, and Linda and Flloyd took great care of us! We will definitely be returning soon...

    Emily2012-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful cabin in the woods, with all the necessities, and more! Linda and Floyd were great hosts. The bonus of this place is that you get to enjoy unique, handcrafted furniture and interesting art while you stay here. The bed was comfortable, the place was clean and well equipped. I walked to the beach, just over a mile, every day, and it's a clean, spacious uncrowded place to enjoy the sun and water.

    Pamela2013-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really relaxing time at Floyd's cabin. Floyd himself gave us a warm welcome upon arrival and it was an ideal "home base" for two beach days at the Warren Dunes. The aged cabin, with a "campy" renovated interior, has modern amenities of water, electricity, and wifi (though this was not working during our stay), while still maintaining a rustic feel. It is set back a bit from its neighbors, surrounded by trees and a woodsy, non-manicured yard. The bedroom, kitchen, and huge long porch were highlights, and there were some thoughtful touches throughout (including a coffee grinder). The living room is much larger than pictured. We were inspired by the funky artwork; the living room seems to double as a gallery of sorts for Floyd. The communication was adequate; could have been more timely and proactive before we arrived. We didn't receive directions and when we inquired we were referred back to the listing. Linda responded promptly to texts while we were there, though didn't appear to read them thoroughly. In all, the cabin's proximity to the water was perfect, including beach access across the street, and we were happy to spend part of our week there! One recommendation -- we highly encourages guests to check out Louisa's Cafe just north of the cabin.

    Annabeth2015-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Very spacious, great space, great location with lots to do nearby, including the excellent Greenbush Brewery and all the shops and theater in Three Oaks.

    Eric2012-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at Linda and Floyd's cabin. It felt secluded and close to nature, but was within a short distance from civilization. We enjoyed cozy evening fires in the indoor fire stove and the outdoor fire ring. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedroom was comfortable.

    Ann2016-05-09T00:00:00Z

    martine 2015-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first time staying at Floyd and Linda's cabin. We normally stay at their cottage, which we love. "The cabin" was great: spacious, nicely decorated, surrounded by nature.... Ideal for a couple. Floyd and Linda's furniture and art make their houses truly unique. We have stayed at many places in this area, but have never felt so much at home like we do at Floyd's and Linda's cabin and cottage. We'll be back!

Me, my husband, my in-laws, and my two children spent five nights at Jack’s place, and we created many great memories around his dining room table after preparing food using his state-of-the-art cooktop. Most afternoons we took a chilly walk on the path by the lake, and enjoyed the wildlife (deer and birds) that would wander into the yard throughout the day. I don’t have a lot of experience using AirBnB, and Jack has definitely set the bar very high for both timely communication and thoughtful touches and amenities in his home. If you are looking for a quiet spot conveniently located near the University of Michigan and downtown Ann Arbor Jack’s place should top your list. Thanks, Jack!” Alyssa

  • Jack's house is very lovely with a nice kitchen/entertaining area. It's in a very quiet area but close to Ann Arbor. I was disappointed by the size of the lake and ease to get kayaks into the water. I would not recommend this house if you're looking for a lake weekend.

    Ashley2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • The view is spectacular. The home is very comfortable and the neighborhood is terrific for runs, long walks with a bonus of having a playground for children so close. Would stay here again. Owner is very thoughtful and helpful.

  • Jack's house is gorgeous - plenty of space for a group to enjoy life on the lake without straying too far from downtown Ann Arbor

    Michael2017-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying at Jack's place and he has made it even better! Super comfortable, attractive, enjoyable place to stay. Great walks around the lake and through neighboring fields. Wonderful kitchen and Jack provided delicious snacks. A great place to stay!

  • This is a beautiful, modern, well-appointed house on a small lake about 15 minutes from downtown Ann Arbor. It has a fabulous kitchen, and it would be great for entertaining. Interactions with Jack were smooth and efficient. I recommend it highly!

    Bill2017-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • We couldn't have had a more perfect stay at Jack's lake house -- so much in fact, that we didn't want to leave! As for the house itself, it classy, cool and comfortable all at the same time -- very contemporary/mid century modern design mix that's very tasteful. It faces a stunning lake that you can see from the entire back half of the house, and there's a lovely deck that you can sit on to enjoy all the nature -- including a friendly groundhog or two! Jack's hospitality was impeccable - he left us a delicious breakfast and had lots of healthy + dairy free options, plus some amazing coffee. We really enjoyed grilling in the backyard, plus there are some beautiful trails that surround the lake that are truly picturesque. The house itself is only about 15 minutes away from Ann Arbor, and a few minutes away from a canoe rental spot where we had a fabulous 8 mile canoe trip. Probably one of our best Air BnB experiences yet -- thank you, ευχαριστώ, Jack!

    Kristina2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • We communicated with Jack beforehand as we were coming from overseas. He made sure the stay was wonderful and went out of his way to buy gluten free products for me as I have celiac disease and asked where I could pick up some groceries. The house was great, right on the lake and the boys really enjoyed seeing the swans, cardinals, blue jays, deer, etc up close. Jack came back (on his own) midway through our stay to refill the bird feeder as he saw how much the boys enjoyed it and knew it would be empty after a few days.

    Rudolph2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • The home has great furniture and an array of cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc. The space facilitates group time both in the house and outside the house. Our group thought the home was an excellent value and was very thoughtfully put together.

  • We enjoyed ourselves so much! The area, lake, and cabin were all beautiful. We hiked, lit a fire, attempted fishing, enjoyed the outdoors, and relaxed, which was much needed. We think our five-month old German Shepherd Bruno had the best time as he got to run around without a leash, he played in the snow, and barked at nature. Thank you!

    Marek2012-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle and her assistant, Marcia were terrific - very responsive and helpful. They both seemed very eager to make sure we had a great time - which we did. We ventured out to Marquette one day ( don't miss the iron works sculpture park in Marquette) but we were content to spend time in the cabin, woods, and water.

    Signe2016-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was exactly what we wanted. It was so quiet and absolutely beautiful. Definitely would recommend for any couple or family looking for a get away!

    Arianna2017-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is exactly as pictured - very beautiful, roomy, and comfortable! We only wished our stay could have been longer. Michelle was extremely helpful and very easy to reach and communicate with. Thank you for allowing us to share a piece of something that has obviously brought your family many wonderful memories. The only draw back - and there is only 1 - is the driveway to the cabin was extremly difficult this early in the year. Each time we came and went we feared getting stuck in the mud. If you have a SUV or 4 WD it's probably a piece of cake, but for a little Hyundai Elantra it was a real challenge! Otherwise, absolutely fabulous. Thank you again.

    Tricia2013-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • I was hoping for a relaxing vacation and I got it at this cabin. It was so nice sitting on the porch watching for wildlife in and around the lake or going out in the canoe and trying to catch a fish. Communication with Michelle before and during our stay was never a problem and she had a caretaker nearby if we needed anything that couldn't be handled over the phone (we never had to have her come to the cabin but she was available if we needed her). My only complaint is that my relaxing vacation wasn't long enough. I hope to make it back to this beautiful cabin someday soon. Thank you Michelle for sharing your wonderful cabin with us.

    Jessica2015-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I had the pleasure of staying in Michelle's cabin over the 4th of July holiday, and I could think of no better way to have spent it. Michelle and Marsha were extremely helpful and made us feel welcome from the very beginning of the booking process. The cabin itself was extraordinary, and the quiet days spent by the lake were exactly what the doctor ordered. Never having booked through airbnb before, I wasn't sure what to expect, and I packed way more than we needed as Michelle had everything there already for our use. On our final morning at the cabin, we were a bit sad to have to leave, but are already making plans to return in the future. This was a fantastic experience that my entire family enjoyed, and I would gladly spend my money to do it all over again.

    Nichole2014-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is very nice and located in the Central UP, near Republic. I had not been to Republic in 30 years since I was a kid, and really not much has changed. The cabin is located on a beautiful lake, with canoes and boats that you can use. Also there is a fire pit, fishing pier and swimming raft---so really there is a lot to do at the cabin to keep you occupied. My son enjoyed frog hunting and raspberry picking---and managed to find the tree house which is set back a good distance in the woods. If you are looking for a peaceful week decompressing, this is an excellent choice. As side trips I would reccomend a visit to Presque Isle and jump off the cliffs for a swim, and on your way back to the cabin grab a Pasty from Lawry's in West Ishperming. You can be an honoray yooper only if you eat the whole pasty "with rutabaga" and never addd gravy! Maybe only Ketchup. Overall, great trip!

    Tim2013-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was worth our 8 hour drive. The view from the deck is amazing and the stars are some of the best that I have ever seen. I would definitely love to go back and stay longer.

The home will allow you to enjoy a unique cedar cabin in the woods, but at the same time you'll have all modern amenities plus a few luxuries to ensure you have a great stay. The space is very open and makes for a comfortable space for up to 10 guests. The location is also perfect - situated between the lake and the pool, and the neighborhood is both near the highway and not far from downtown Saugatuck, but far enough away from both to feel like you are getting away. You won't be disappointed in the location or amenities offered with this property.
  • This place is really wonderful- spotless, comfortable, charming, and stocked with anything you could ever need to have a perfect getaway. A group of us came out to relax and have a friends weekend and all agreed that two nights weren't enough. The pool and lake are so easy to access and the screened in porch was perfect for enjoying at night. Eric is great about communication and seems to have thought of everything. We can't wait to rent again, hopefully for longer next time!

    Courtney2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • This house is amazing! Very comfortable and clean. Right by the pool and lake access a couple houses down. Eric paid attention to all the details and is so nice. He left us great snacks, the beds have soft linens, and the towels are plush and clean. We loved that pets weren't allowed so there were no weird smells and we didn't wear shoes in the house- it's that clean. The screened in porch is so relaxing with candles and nice furniture. Kingfisher Cove is right down the street from downtown Saugatuck too, so the location is perfect. My whole family loved it and we will be back!

    Annie2017-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, is Eric's place beautiful! Our girls weekend away was threatened when another AirBNB owner canceled our reservation two days before our arrival--Eric to the Rescue! Not only was Eric accommodating, his place is gorgeous! You will not be disappointed if you choose this place. Everything is top-notch and Eric has thought of everything you could possibly need.

  • Such a fantastic cabin to get away from it all for a few days. The whole family - from toddlers to teens to grandparents - loved it. It's spacious enough to have privacy, but cozy enough to spend quality time together.

  • My girlfriends and I had the best time in this cabin! The cabin was extremely clean and the owners did not miss a trick! A cute basket with treats was left for us along with toiletries, plenty of towels, pillows and bedding! The description is definitely accurate and the price was great!! We can't wait to go back! One thing... The parking can be tricky if you bring more than 2 cars but there is commuter parking about a mile away.

  • This cabin is perfection. Sweet little dock for kayaking and easy bike ride to Oval Beach. Loved that the bikes and kayaks were available with the cabin. Beautiful pool. Everything you need for a wonderful getaway and close proximity to all things Saugatuck! Eric is an amazing host. Communication was great. Loved it and will definitely make it an annual tradition to visit this cabin!

  • Eric's cabin is beautiful and full of amenities and lovely extras! Easy to check in and out and Eric was available if I needed anything, but I never had to reach out because he had thought of everything someone would need for a vacation away. I look forward to booking this cabin again!

  • Eric's place was amazing!! We had a group of 9 coming to stay over Memorial Day weekend and we were very comfortably accommodated. It felt like hotel quality service, with tons of clean towels, free snacks and a fully stocked kitchen.

I am on the main highway between Boyne City and Boyne Mountain It is ultra convenient as it is the first road plowed when it snows, is right across the street from a grocery & bowling lanes, and easy access to all of Northern Michigan. It can also be a bit noisy if windows are open and no fans or ac running.
  • Sally is a wonderful host - very accommodating and friendly. The cottage is in an excellent location, very close to everything. I really enjoyed my stay there.

  • We had an excellent stay. Sally moved us to her larger cabin which had a nice large deck that we enjoyed a lot. She was very friendly and helped us with whatever we needed. The cabin was clean and tidy and had everything that we needed. We also took the 2 hr Kayak Trip provided by her and that was fantastic. The initial 30-40 minutes was a lot of fun, with tree obstacles to maneuver around. After that it was mostly a relaxing trip. As its down river, you don't really have to use lot of energy. Overall fantastic stay, highly recommended.

  • It was a rustic quaint place to stay.

    Asha2016-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • It is a little house, close to a busy road and this does get noisy when you are on vacation and want to sleep in. Short driveway that is steep, with noisy critters - squirrels. Loved the heated floor in living room area.

  • Sally was a gracious host providing local suggestions for music and river access. We added 3 guests to the reservation after it was booked and she was very accommodating. Last but not least, dog friendly is always a plus for me.

  • Sally was very kind, and ready to help us with any questions or concerns we might have. We really enjoyed our stay in Boyne City, and the convenience of being close to town. She was always near her phone and responded to texts and messages very quickly. The cottage was very clean and tidy, and the gas fireplace was lit and ready for us when we got in. We didn't get a chance to meet Sally (this was our honeymoon and we just wanted some alone time, which Sally was very respectful of), but through our messaging I found her to be very friendly and a great host. The cottage is very close to a gas station and a few restaurants, and just a few minutes drive away from a grocery store, a hiking trail, and downtown shopping (depending the direction you drive). Overall we really enjoyed our stay! The only complaint that we had was the sound from cars driving by on the road down the hill made it a little hard for me to sleep. A few earplugs and this would not have been a concern at all ( I am a very light sleeper, and have to wear earplugs most nights to fall asleep, even at home. I only mention this in case other interested parties are light sleepers like me).

  • Sally was very welcoming. Her cottage has everything you could possibly need during your stay. The outdoor hot tub was a huge bonus. Great deal for the price and the close location to Boyne Mountain.

  • We enjoyed the outdoor living space!

Kameron's condo met all of my expectations - the pictures were accurate, and the accommodations were comfortable. The condo is in a resort area with some amenities that, had I spent more time in the area, would have been excited to take advantage of. Downtown Bellaire was not far away, and Petoskey, Charlevoix, and Traverse City were all within an hour's drive.

The place was lovely, everything portrayed in the pictures and Allison went the extra mile to make us feel welcome with s'mores, touristy information and a lovely welcome. Only thing that was slightly not ideal was the heat in the master bedroom, it was abnormally hot for the time of the year we visited, so we were a little hot at night. I would stay here again if we made another trip to traverse city.

Our stay at Carol's cabin was wonderful! We had a great time hiking Sleeping Bear Dunes and visiting the beautiful town of Frankfurt. The cabin was clean and the perfect size for two of us. We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit and had an all around great time.
