Birna and Gunnar are exceptional hosts who were warm and welcoming, good enough to help us in several ways cooking a macaroni cheese, giving us newspaper to dry off our boots and giving ideas about where to spend our time. They also thoughtfully checked out with us if we were okay with dogs. The extra basket of Icelandic delights was wonderful.
We immediately felt at home.

Spent a lovely 2 nights here. we were lucky to get to see the northern lights on the second night. Location was perfect with great views for breakfast. Dogs and cats were friendly. I would love to come back some day.

Thank you for hosting us—we had a wonderful stay! After checking the reviews, we discovered a nearby hot spring, which we really enjoyed. The hiking in the area was fantastic, and the hot spring even helped improve my son’s skin condition.

We also truly appreciated the homemade honey and the thoughtful snacks you provided. The house was exceptionally clean and tidy—everything was just perfect.
