The neighborhood is a little rough around the edges but feels safe overall. It’s located within walking distance of a laundromat and a small liquor store that carries most necessities.
If you’re staying for less than a week and want extra towels, be sure to request them ahead of time since the host can be a bit slow to respond. Coffee lovers, bring your own coffee fixings — there’s only a small amount provided, so I’d suggest grabbing some creamer and sweetener.
We ended up buying a new sponge for the sink since the one provided was worn out, and also picked up a broom from the dollar store to help with dog hair (the brush pan they provide works but it’s tiny). I’d recommend bringing a personal vacuum or Roomba to help keep things tidy if you bring your pets. The location is pretty convenient — close to all the main tourist spots in LA, and the drive wasn’t bad even with typical LA traffic. Just double-check the street parking signs, especially for Mon-Tues. Overall it’s a decent stay!
