This is our 2nd stay at the cabin. I took my husband here for his birthday. We spent a week there. His fav thing was binoculars on the deck watching the animals. I loved cooking Painted Hills meat that I would buy at the mercantile.

We wanted a place that was convenient to the John Day Fossil Beds and Painted Hills, so the location was just perfect for us. A few miles from the town of Fossil, and spaced in between the various units of the Monument (none of which are close together, so give yourself an extra day or two.)The place was so quiet and beautiful, and the area populated with mule deer and wild turkeys, who came right up to the front yard! Would have been a fabulous place for stargazing too, but we accidentally chose the weekend of a Super Moon so that was a bust! The kitchen was small but sufficient, spotless bathroom, comfortable beds. Our only issue was the rather steep stairs to the loft, better suited for teenagers than old ladies. But definitely one of the most beautifully situated Airbnb’s I’ve visited, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Theresa and Bobby have the most amazing place! It is beautiful, was incredibly clean, the beds are comfy and it had everything one could possibly need for a comfortable stay! Theresa and Bobby went way above and beyond as terrific hosts - they even helped celebrate my daughter’s birthday! The nicest people you could meet. We had the very best time, and I’d recommend their adorable place to anyone! Thanks so much Theresa and Bobby - we hope to be back!
