It was a great place for a couple's get away. The beds and bedrooms were comfortable, bathrooms were great. There were plenty of linens, towels and beach towels. The kitchen, outdoor patio space and living area were comfortable and made cooking and relaxing easy. The views are lovely, and access to the beach is an easy walk on a dirt trail. We specifically chose the area that is not on the beach and loved the quiet street. The management was responsive and helpful with the two minor issues we had, and offered some solutions. The house does not have AC, which is common for beach houses and there were plenty of fans, but if you arrive during a heat wave, it might take a bit of opening up the windows and turning on fans to cool it down (maybe it's because there are lovely windows in the front - view and also sunlight!). We had a blast and would return to this property again.

We appreciated how accommodating the hosts were with letting us check in early. The location was excellent - peaceful ocean views and prime walking distance to the beach. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was lacking. The floors had visible dirt, and we found hair in the vanity drawers of both bathrooms and on the shower walls. The master bathroom also has a cracked toilet seat, which made the space feel poorly maintained. While it was noted that there’s no air conditioning, the house is positioned between two buildings with a long driveway, so there’s little to no airflow from outside either.

Perfect. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed the beautiful views of the ocean from the front patio. The neighborhood was friendly and super easy to get to the town of Carlsbad! A super family trip!
