This was my (and my boyfriend’s) third year in a row staying at the cabin. It’s absolutely the best place to get away to. We are always sad when our little getaway is over and we have to return to the city life.

The cabin has that perfect rustic charm and homeyness. It as a wonderful fire pit outside that overlooks the lake. We love to sit out all day and read. And then relax by evening fires before calling it a night. One of my favourite parts about the cabin are the big open windows that overlook the lake and forest. Crawling into bed and looking out to see the moon reflect off the water is beautiful. There are always plenty of blankets if you get chilly, and a wood burning fireplace inside the cabin as well.

While there is no electricity or running water, there are more than enough amenities to comprise. We usually cook over the fire, but it’s also easy to use the propane stove and bbq. There’s also a lovely hand washing station outdoors. The cabin also has an outhouse a short ways away that comes as nice as they can.

We always arrive to a clean and tidy cabin. Megan is a wonderful host and always replies promptly. She always makes herself available should you need her.

I can’t possibly recommend staying at the cabin enough. It’s a trip my boyfriend and I look forward to all year. Stay here - you won’t regret it!
