The property has great potential. Location is very secluded which provides piece and quite. It is sort of maintained and clean (the shared bathroom needs deep clean and daily touch ups though) but it feels abandoned, has no life. If there was a family residing on premises and running the place, it would be wonderful. Someone to greet you, run the fireplace downstairs, have simple snacks and small bar available. There is really nothing in the vicinity (less than 10 miles away). The shared bathroom downstairs didn’t bother us that much, a bit inconvenient but not a big issue. Crow’s nest was cozy and warm with great views. For the price, it was a good deal and close to where we needed to be. I wish it was more lively in the sense of atmosphere and charm and I wouldn’t call it “spa retreat “. The hot tub was not inviting due to the water being lukewarm and murky looking. We didn’t bother locating the sauna after that. As I said above, it feels dead/spooky.

We loved our stay! The hobbit house was beautiful inside and very cozy. It was very quiet and peaceful. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.

This is great place for someone staying in the area and needs a nicer place to stay

The property was in a great area to explore nearby towns and vineyards. The place was cozy and comfortable and we had an excellent stay in the Castle Suite room. People in the area were friendly. The place was was great for relaxing and would recommend to anyone that loves to spend time in nature.
