While the original St. John is rightly regarded as the most important British restaurant in a generation, Bread & Wine, the sister site in Spitalfields, is a better and more interesting restaurant today. Easily one of the best places to eat in London, an absolute London classic, in fact it’s that good we had there Eccles cakes & cheese for desert at our wedding 💒, they also have a bigger (the original) restaurant on St John st. 25 minutes walk or 15 minute bus ride
