A bike path starts here and runs seven miles alongside Ballona Creek, a channel of water from Culver City to the beach in Playa del Rey. It’s pretty—there are trees and birds—and it feels secluded because you’re separated from traffic, biking under bridges and through tunnels. Toward the end, you’ll pass through Marina del Rey, where you can check out all the boats. Locals know this path as a great way to go to the beach without dealing with traffic and parking. This comes in especially handy on weekend afternoons, when beach traffic is at its peak.

Great bike path that will also lead you to Exposition Park, where you can find the Natural History Museum and the California Science Museum.

Tennis courts (one full size, two paddle tennis), basketball courts, and a playground for kids. Large field are and a path to run around. The bike bath behind the park will take you to Marina Del Rey.

My favorite thing about this local simple little park is the starting point of The Ballona Creek Bike Path! This breathtakingly beautiful and easy bike path keeps you completely away from any traffic! It takes you for miles all the way to the beach. The Ballona Creek Bike Path starts at Syd Kronenthal Park in east Culver City and extends about 7 miles to the Coast Bike Path along the beach.
