Such a cool place! It just re-opened and is a bit sparse, but if you dig into the maps and letters on the while it's definitely worth the visit!

At the confluence of the Cape Fear River, Intracoastal Waterway, and Atlantic Ocean, visitors can discover the natural and cultural history of the Lower Cape Fear region. Through hands-on and interpretive exhibits, the museum shares the history of the area from the first indigenous mariners to commercial fisheries. Hours of operation: Tuesday – Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free Admission

For anyone interested in history, this is a necessary stop. It's a small and quaint, well -run operation.
