Andre' an owner of a Pick 'n Pay grocery store is about the nicest shop keeper i have met. He's is always helpful and happy to order in special thing for customer. There's a hairdresser, 2 pubs & more

The car guards are very helpful. They offer to take you trolley to your car and unpack your groceries. They expect a small fee (R2-R5) for this. The car guards are competitive with each other to provide the service and, if you are not used to this custom, it may appear as though they want to take your trolley from you. Just communicate clearly whether you want their help or not.
