A great little town with lots of character! Great places to eat. Littleton harbour, and catching the quick cat ferry to diamond harbour and to quail island.

Feeling energetic? You can catch the Lyttelton bus from Hargood Street to the Gondola, catch the Gondola or walk the Bridle path to Lyttelton.

Take a scenic drive and discover the picturesque views from Lyttelton to Diamond Harbour. There are plenty of places to stop along the way. I recommend starting at Lyttelton Coffee Co. You can then take the ferry to Quail Island where in the 1870s it was used for quarantine to help stop the spread of influenza. There is a fantastic 2.5 hour walk around the island. Hop in the car and enjoy the winding roads that take you to some amazing beaches.
