Swan Lake - From Highway 20, west on Swantown Road to West Beach Road. Rocky/sandy beach, freshwater lake, cattail marsh. Eagles, Northern Harriers, wading birds, loons, grebes, sea ducks, including Harlequin Ducks, dabbling ducks, Black Oystercatchers, Common Yellowthroats, Marsh Wrens.
- With beautiful views of Admiralty Inlet, this state park is a quick trip south from Oak Harbor.
Lovely trails in the trees and along the beach with stunning scenery looking out towards the San Juan Islands and Vancouver Island, CN. Eagles nesting usually in the area and very accessible in the lower main parking lot (State Park fees or placard needed) and another at the top of the gently sloping hill that makes hotter summer time walks or on windy days much more manageable.
