You must visit this museum! It consists of a large court, a small castle, a chapel, a watchtower and a winter garden. In 1910, a spacious dance hall was added. In his castle there is a park with a large number of Mediterranean vegetation (among other things, cork wood). This summer residence of King Nikola is located in the park and near the seashore. The palace of king Nikolaj I of Montenegro was built in the 1880's. It was built for the first king of newly independent Montenegro, just free from the Ottomans. It houses a museum with interesting photo's of the navy and furniture. You will feel the spirit of history on the foam of the sea.

KING NIKOLA’S CASTLE IN TOPOLICA - Homeland Museum (19th century) Montenegrin King Nikola I constructed his residence in 1885 on the shore of the Adriatic. The complex includes a winter garden and a hall for cultural events, as well as a park with various Mediterranean plants. The castle is now home to the Homeland Museum of Bar.
