Good walking path with art works (Underfoot Gallery ) which connects Mary Street (by Pak n Save) to Albert Street all the way alongside Brown Street where you will find a bird hide built in the mangroves, the small guage railway circuit (rides on Sundays 11am -2pm ).The path continues on to Albert street where, you will find the petanque ( bocce ball) terrains and players on Mon, Wed, Fri mornings. The park here is graced by a Victorian bandstand surrounded by many old pohutukawa trees and few seats. Alongside the petanque terrain is a croquet club. Further on along the flat easy path you will find a technicoloured fence with a pathway which leads out to a dog on leash walking area and famous NZ sculptors' work of multi colours. This is the work of Michael Smithers.

Relax in this blissful park, developed in 1902 with the hope that the park would create a good impression on visitors arriving at Grahamstown Railway Station.
