Definitely part of the charm of Bancroft area. Tour the mine and collect samples but be sure to wear closed shoes. Or just visit the hem packed gift store.

Great place to view some cool rock formations. You can actually schedule a time to do some mining to search for unique rocks and fossils. Check out their website.
