The City beach is one of the favorite night and day promenades in Uzice. On the city beach from the old railway bridge, traditional dives are organized in the first half of August every year. In addition, at the level of the mentioned bridge, an asphalt road 9 kilometers long continues, which leads to an open-air spa (Staparska banja). Until almost 70 years ago, a train called Ćira passed along that road and was only a part of the then narrow gauge railway on the Belgrade-Sarajevo route. On the city beach, there is one of the few, and at the same time the second hydroelectric power plant in Europe, which works on Tesla's principles, and which started operating in 1900. Our beach will remain etched in everyone's memory and it is certainly one of the places that I wholeheartedly recommend to everyone.
