This section of the AT is very picturesque and flat. Enjoy a path along the Housatanic river with rolling fields and shady trails.

Appalachian Trail runs 52 miles through Ct. Kent Center is a nice place to refuel and explore. There is a post office, grocery store, boutique shops, dining, gallery hopping and indulging in spa, health and wellness treatments. Meander along the sidewalks, browse in our shops and linger as you enjoy the Litchfield County landscape.

The AT winds right through Falls Village. Just 3 miles away, you can hike a portion of the trail and see why Falls Village was named for these majestic Great Falls.

Small Day Hikes on the Appalachian Trail - Our Bridge is out, but you can drive, park and walk. this is a WONDERFUL area!
