The entire menu is Gluten Free friendly, and wow, they put on a good show! The menu is quite imaginative with some really unusual items, and the bar team really know their stuff! Don't miss out on the KFD! Kentucky Fried Duck! YUMMO!

Detour is a cracking restaurant in Woolloongabba, Launched in 2017, their vision was to create a venue that encouraged guests to embrace the sharing nature of all dining experiences by offering share plates that can be enjoyed together providing exciting dishes that prompt conversation. Detour caters well for the dietary sensitive, with its menu split into omnivore and herbivore options, and a completely gluten-free kitchen – only a couple of dishes contain gluten with those glutenous elements prepared off site. While Damon’s style has certainly evolved since Public, he’s brought back many of the curious ingredients and much-loved dishes that once featured on his menu – think black ants, Hawaiian curry and fossilised carrots.

Top notch modern Australian menu with equally great service and atmosphere. Pricey but worth it for a special night out.
