When it is super hot and you don't want to go to the beach...I think you may like the outdoor pools at Claremont. BBQ and kiosk. Open to 7pm during summer (check website first)

Just 5 minutes walk away there is a pool complex with a 50 and 25 meter pool. it includes a water play area for children. Currently being renovated. Re opens September 2021.
