A long and beautiful sandy beach. I often spot White Tailed Eagles, porpoises and whales here. In the summer the Machair wild flowers are stunning !

This beach is a 15 minute drive from Stornoway, it is a 2.5km long beach and provides spectacular views. Even if the carpark is full the beach will appear empty. Has a neighbouring beach - Garry beach.

The beautiful long beach of Traigh Mhor (big beach in Gaelic) is a must visit beach about 15 minutes drive from Tong. You'll most likely have the beach to yourself, or with a very few people.
