The 17th century Convento das Bernardas in Lisbon is at present home to the Puppet Museum (also known as the Marionette Museum). This is a wonderful venue to visit for people of all ages.

In addition to a huge collection of traditional Portuguese puppets, this Puppet Museum has in its collection a significant collection of Southeast Asian puppets, as well as others related to African and Brazilian ancestry. A great program to achieve in the family.

This museum is inside an old convent - Convento das Bernardas and it has a wonderful al fresco bar insiide the convent,
