The Hume Weir is a vast water supply, about 30 minutes away with an abundance of swimming spots. Try Kangaroo Point. Ebden. Lake Hume Village.

Not actually a beach but it comes pretty close, especially some of the picnic areas along the shore line. You can also grab a bite to eat from Lake Vue Cafe - their burgers and milkshakes are good.
