Keep Thrifty in mind if you're needing to hire a car for you stay. I would highly recommend getting a car if you're flying in as there is lots to see and do that you'll need a car for.

This is probably the most convenient place to pick up a car. However from the Coolangatta Airport, you can catch the 777 bus, it will drop you off at South Broadbeach, and it is possible to walk to the unit. I have done it many times when travelling from Sydney, then you can take the light rail to Surfers Paradise. Then perhaps hire a car for a day or two to see a bit of nature.
