Kočje is a gorgeous protected park of old trees and karst formations about a 15 minute walk from downtown Žrnovo. The road to it is single-lane and there are not many parking spaces there, so it might be best to park in Brdo when the road is still paved and walk the remaining distance. Incredible hilltop views of Pelješac on the way as well.

This natural locality has always been absorbing the attention of local inhabitants of Zrnovo village as well as of visitors, if they get the chance to see it and experience passing through its mystery stone mazes. The concentration of large rock in the area of about 10 000 m2 create impressive and unusual forms which tend to arouse the visitor’s imagination. Kocje is an unusual landscape that stands out adding a dose of mystery. Kocje is overgrown with moss and ivy vines, turning the place vibrant green, even in the shade, making the whole place feel magical. When walking to Kocje, there are also some fabulous views over the sea, which you don’t want to miss.
