At the Monastery of Christ in the Desert, there lives a community of monks each of whom and as a community seek to be in union with God. A local holy community.

This monastery is located down a beautiful 13 mile desert road. While visiting you are welcome to tour the grounds, join any services and stop by the gift shop. It is also the home of the Abbey Brewing Company and locally brewed Monk's Ale. The monastery makes a great day trip in Abiquiu.

Extraordinary spot. Visit the monks who raise lambs, spin wool, and weave in between prayers. Amazing experience!
