Just on the other side of Adams Morgan, Woodley Park is home to the National Zoo. While not super close, it is walkable if you're up for a bit of a schlep.

Charming, leafy neighborhood. The CVS is here. And the Metro. Walk to the Zoo heading north on Connecticut Avenue. Nando’s and Open City Diner are good food options.
