You will be staying in a wonderful part of London, with many old places right next to the ultra modern, but where the streetscape still follows the old medieval map. You will be close to lots of wonderfully interesting places.

Southwark underground station is less than 10 minutes walk away, giving easy access to the Jubilee line.

From Elephant & Castle to Camberwell, this part of Southwark is really close to all the "must see" sites and undergoing huge transformation; new plush skyscrapers next to Victorian streets and post-war housing estates. It offers value for money, authenticity and great transport links.

Feel like stretching- then head down to Southwark Park, there's plenty of greenery and free tennis courts to use for anyone.
