The lodge, 3 bedroom cottage

A homely cottage attached to the barns of the main hall , with private parking and your own access. It is a perfect base for hill walking and cycling . The lodge is surrounded by the fabulous Shropshire hills, a mile to the nearest pub yet just 10-15 minute away from the centre of Shrewsbury. There is a private seating area outside the front of the lodge and access to the pony paddocks if you have a dog that needs a run! Next door is the Nook so why not book there to if you need more room

We are an hour and a half from the coast Zip World / Bounce Below and 10 minutes away from Offas Dyke path. Walks start at the end of our drive. Dog and child friendly. Welcome to Orchard cottage, a single storey building, annexed to ( but separate from ) our house. The cottage is furnished to a high standard. We are situated on the outskirts of a private residential area, just 400 metres from the centre of the historic market town of Welshpool, there are various shops, supermarkets, pubs & restaurants. The magnificent Powis castle is a short walk from the town centre, through the beautiful parkland. Other attractions include Montgomery canal & light railway.

Red House Cottage (self catering cottage)

Modern, very comfortable and very clean. Sleeps 4, double ensuite room and double/twin room also ensuite. Outside area, fully equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge. In a quiet village setting with two pubs serving food within a two minutes walk of the cottage. Free wifi, smart TV’s in bedrooms. Until recently Red House Cottage was run as a B&B but the owners decided to fit a kitchen to create a self contained cottage for self catering holidays. The cottage is on the side of our home.

It Sleeps 4, there is a kingsize bed and two singles in the second bedroom. Recently refurbished throughout with a new fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. The sitting room has a log burner and QLED TV. Super fast fibre broadband throughout.

SEVERNSIDE ANNEX

The annexe is situated next to our home with its own private access so you can be completely independent. It’s in the small village of Four Crosses near the England/Wales border and can sleep five people in two bedrooms, one king-size double and one family room comprising three single beds. The ground floor has an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside there is off road parking for two cars and a gravelled patio with garden furniture.
