We absolutely loved our stay here! It was a perfect location to the ski hills yet a very quiet setting that we could relax after a day at the slopes. The house was a perfect size and layout for our group, decorated very nicely, and had great amenities; hot tub, sauna, comfortable choices, and a great sized kitchen stocked with all the essentials.

A perfect cozy cabin for a weekend get away. Above and beyond when it comes to accommodations. The game room was a blast and the hot tub was so relaxing. We enjoyed every minute of our stay!

We had a wonderful time swimming, fishing off the dock (caught a nice sized large mouth bass & panfish) and boating. We enjoyed the paddle board, kayak and screened in porch. We used the fire pit one night before the mosquitoes came out. We didn’t use the hot tub. We rented a pontoon from Brett at Island View Resort. He also sold bait, gas and a map of the lake with tips for fishing the lake. We caught crappies, bass, panfish and northern. The bunkhouse was prefect for our two boys. Our daughter enjoyed the loft room. It was nice that there were 2 fans. The kitchen was well equipped and we liked having a large electric skillet. Didn’t use the washing machine except for washing the towels before we checked out. The beds were comfortable. We also liked the large dining room table -used it to play games in the evening. We’d definitely recommend getting peanut butter twists from Pattens restaurant in Orr. It was a very relaxing vacation. We’d definitely rent it again.

Beautiful getaway. A river runs by providing soothing sounds and picturesque sights. Can be seen from the wonderful hot tub out back and from the long covered deck. Some property to walk, but also close to many waterfall hikes, if you're wanting some outdoor adventure. During bad weather or you're feeling lazy, the couch is very comfy and the TV large. Hannah was extremely responsive and helpful (I got my car stuck, through my own fault, and she facilitated my escape). She provided recommendations of her own accord, and they all turned out to be accurate.

Beautiful space, everything was clean and worked great. Hot tub and sauna are great amenities. Very private. Aaron was responsive and is a great host!

We loved our stay at the cabin! It was clean and the kitchen was fantastic. Shelley was proactive in communicating what to expect. The hot tub was lovely, and the perfect way to relax after hiking around the local Provincial Parks. This was perfect for exploring the Thunder Bay area!

My husband & I stayed here with our dog, and loved it! Lake views from nearly every room, even larger than it looks in the photos, well stocked kitchen, and comfy furniture! Hosts were super responsive and friendly, we will definitely be back!

The property is as in the photos, very spacious in the inside. Right on the water, only a minute or two from downtown Ely, but worlds away from the City. Nice setting, plenty of room for all in your group. Multiple levels, built to enjoy being on the lake, so many nice touches, and the kitchen is well stocked, with plenty of glasses/plates and everything required to feel at home. Plenty of towels! Hot tub is in a private setting! Second floor is reached by open stairway, includes an open area overlooking first floor, that includes conversation area with futon, and large bedroom with great view of sunrise and attached bathroom with shower and large jetted tub. We were just two, and felt comfortably together, larger groups will not feel crowded, and two cars can park in the garage, and they provide two remote garage door openers, so you do not have to get out of your car to open or close the garage door. Truly is like having your own place in the woods, if you were a millionaire!

We had a great time at this AirBnb!!! So peaceful and quiet, an amazing weekend getaway. We loved looking at the stars and watching the sunrises and sunsets right from the cozy warm cabin, listening to the wood stove crackling. We were very glad we remembered snow shoes, it was quite the hike in! It added to the private atmosphere.

Jeff was very accommodating with any of our needs/requests, and the location was perfect for our trip requirements. The kitchen is well stocked for any cooking you may wish to do during your stay as well, removing the need to go out to eat if you wish to. My familey and I look forward to another stay here everytime we will be visiting in the area in the future!

Great location! We’ve been doing this trip for 5 years and we’re never able to bring our pup who loves the UP and the snow so we really appreciated that we could bring him this weekend. The place was clean and had plenty of space for the 10 adults we had. The kitchen was fully stocked and allowed us to do all the cooking we wanted. Would stay again!

We had a great time in Ely! This cabin was the perfect fall weekend getaway. Can’t wait to come back :)

Absolutely pristine. Peaceful. The first night, I saw a coyote run through the woods. The second night, three deer went through. My dog and I had a peaceful, absolutely grounding stay. Good moments of sunbathing in the early spring light. Easy to relax. Highly recommend the walking trail. It’s clearly marked and links right up to superior hiking trail. Felt as though I was walking amongst the deer. It’s pin drop silent, apart from an occasional car on 61, and the beach is a quick walk. I will certainly be coming back. Everything I needed for this weary family therapist.

My husband and I loved our stay! The cabin was so cozy and cute, and was remote enough for us to have some privacy, but also close enough to order food from restaurants or go to the general store if needed. Perfect weekend getaway!

My husband, our 3 children, and I had a wonderful stay here at the A-Frame. My personal favorite things were all the bed linens & all of the live plants!! They made the place feel so refreshing, cozy, and comfortable. My 12 year old son caught quite a few fish off of the dock, so he was quite happy about that! We would definitely stay here again. The only thing I'd say is it was almost too nice for our younger kids, who are a bit rambunctious.

A great spot to enjoy the outdoors and feel like you have the island all to yourself. Quiet and secluded with a beautiful couple of nearby hikes that lead right up to the water.

The cabin was cozy and clean. It had kitchen tool essentials (silverware, plates/bowls, salt/pepper/tea, cleaning supplies). The bathroom was clean and a short, pretty walk from the cabin. Nice for a winter getaway in the woods but within a short drive to Washburn or other points on the South Shore.

This was such a comfortable and cozy place to stay. It can get cold at night on the north shore in October, but a nice fire in the fireplace kept the cabin warm. The cabin is right off the road but perfectly secluded and private. There were a lot of nice extras like books, games, etc. I will most likely stay there again in the future. It was perfect!

Private, quiet, relaxing— exactly what we wanted. So many stars!

We loved staying at Samantha's property. Communication was great, the cabin was clean and super cozy and had everything that we needed. This is a little gem up north and we would love to stay here again. The lake is beautiful and the rental comes with kayaks and other water toys. We kayaked to the local restaurant which was easy to get to and a very pretty, short paddle away. We loved sitting by the fire and they had ample firewood provided. Can't say enough about the experience!

This place was awesome. If you are looking to get away from the city and enjoy some peace and quiet, then this is the place to go. The cabin is well made, clean, and has everything you need including a fridge/freezer and gas stove. Make sure to bring your own water and food, and you are good to go. Don't go in thinking you will have internet and cell service because you won't at the cabin. However, you can get service just at the end of the road. The residence in very close to lots of hiking trails and is right by the lake to find some great lake stones and agates. I had forgotten how dark night actually is and the beautiful sounds of the forests until the week I was there. The price is great, and Kyle is fantastic. He was very responsive and answered all my questions. So, if you really want to get away from the city, disconnect from the world and have a nice cozy roof over your head, then this is the spot. I will be going back later in the year for sure.

The cabin was organized and cozy. It had a lot of amenities for such a small place. It was exactly what we needed. The bathroom was clean and very nice if being compared to a "camp" bathroom. We had the added surprise of finding lake jellyfish in Lake Armstrong. The host had never seen them before and it was one of the highlights of our trip. (Per Google they usually only appear in late summer) We would definitely stay here again.

This was a great little cabin for our kid free weekend away! They had everything in the kitchen you could need to cook meals. It’s tucked into the woods so it’s private and it’s just what we were looking for. It was clean and we had a great experience! Derek was quick and responsive when an issue came up.

Kevin's place was perfect in every way! The Homestead cabin had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable and the perfect size for us. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to visit family!
