Natalie’s place was beyond expectations. It was in a great location just few mins walk to the subway, it was super clean with comfy beds and Natalie was the most gracious responsive host! Anytime we had a question, she answered so quickly and she was so accommodating with our luggage delivery. We have never been to Japan before, so there was a lot of uncertainty and anxiety about being in a new place, but Natalie made it go so smoothly and easily!! This guesthouse is in a nice quiet residential location but close to the subway so that made it easy to get around. We couldn’t have asked for a better host! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in Kyoto!

This home is a unique restored traditional Japanese shop house. We loved the feel of the place and my 11 year old son especially loved climbing up to the loft! The house is in a quiet area but close to a wide variety of good restaurants (we especially liked Goya and would recommend it without hesitation) and also a very short walk away from the beautiful and not overly crowded Higashiyama Jisho-ji which is well worth the visit. We had excellent communication with the host. All in a great stay and we strongly recommend this place!

A very warm and welcoming host, he made us feel right at home. The house itself was very cozy!! Additionally, it was very clean and had everything we needed :) very good location as it was near many yummy restaurants and close to the station which took us right into the city.

房间很大，住四五个人没问题，二楼两间很大的卧室，如果人多，一楼也可以住榻榻米，房源很大，真的不错！步行到伏见稻荷5-8分钟。很安静。

Yasuhiko san was waiting for us when we arrived and explained everything about the place in careful detail, and provided what turned out to be great recommendations for a bakery and a grocery store, both nearby. The staircase, as he warned us ahead of time, is quite steep -- my older friends preferred to stay downstairs; I used the upstairs bedroom and found it easier to use the staircase by walking down backwards like a ladder -- it is quite steep. The area is very busy with tourists, many foreign, and both the bakery and the grocery had more non-Japanese than Japanese when we visited -- I suppose this is to be expected so close to Gion. But in short, the place was wonderful, as was Yasuhiko.

Ume's place was a fantastic place for our time in Kyoto. It's far enough away to be quiet yet close enough to grab a quick train (3 minute walk, 2 minute ride) to the nearest station for things like Gion and Nishiki. it's only about a ten minute walk from Kyoto station as well. Ume was a great host, giving recommendations, checking in with us a couple of times throughout our trip, etc. Do note the stairs are a tad narrow (not uncommon for Japan) so if you've got mobility concerns keep that in mind though there is a bedroom on the lower floor as well to help with that. would definitely stay here again.

Dom Keirei jest fantastyczny. Bardzo wygodny dla rodziny - miejsce do wspólnego spędzenia czasu, dwie oddzielne sypialnie z wygodnym łóżkiem i futonami, dwie oddzielne łazienki i dwie toalety. Wspaniały klimat w japońskim stylu. Zaskoczyła nas ilość wyposażenia i udogodnień w kuchni i łazience. Świetna lokalizacja, bardzo cicho i spokojnie a za rogiem uliczki przystanki autobusowe i spacerem do metra, blisko restauracje i sklepy. Gospodarze wspaniali, bardzo mili i dostępni na każde zapytanie. Wróciłabym ponownie bez zastanowienia. Bardzo dziękujemy!

We had a lovely time at Miro’s bnb. The house was beautiful and had a traditional Japanese feel, perfect for a trip to Kyoto. The house is in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood, though still close enough to walk to local attractions. I would highly consider booking here again.

We enjoyed our stay here, very quiet with comfortable futon with AC in each room. She allowed us to drop our bags before check in which was really helpful so we didn’t have to use storage lockers. Walking distance to Gion.

The hosts are very attentive, showed us around at the check in and visiting places. They even showed us where to park by driving us to the parking area. They provided great amenities . Room is clean and neat. Will definitely come back when we travel to Kyoto again.

We had a wonderful experience staying here! We walked mostly everywhere, but the bus and trains were very convenient. The house was very comfortable, beds and pillows/comforters were really nice. The instructions were very thorough. We used the washing machine to cleaned our clothes and there was a small dryer which is unusual for an Airbnb in Asia. I would highly recommend this place. Definitely one of the nicer places we’ve stayed in. The steps upstairs are a little narrow, only if you have someone with problems climbing would I say it may be a problem. For us no issue.

Absolutely stunned by our experience at Yuya’s beautiful 112-year-old home. Everything from the looks of the house, clean inside, responsive staff that helped us find Kimono rentals, discounted taxi tickets, EVERYTHING! We’ll be staying here again. Thank you Yuya and your team, you were amazing.

Kanon’s place was tiny but really pretty and in a perfect location, just 5 minutes walking from the Shichijo station. Kanon was very informative since the beginning and I must mention that due to my partner having some health issues, we had to leave after 2 nights and Kanon refunded the remaining 2 nights, which honestly I was not expecting to happen. 100% recommended!!

A beautiful place in a prime location. The streets are crowded during the day, but if you wake up early you get some of the most beautiful parts of Kyoto a 5 minute walk away. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. The stairs are narrow and steep, and the front entrance/door is also narrow.

Lovely stay with a large group. We all had plenty of space and felt right at home! Great location - walkable to so many sights and in a super quiet neighborhood. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

This was our favorite place we stayed in Japan. It was larger than expected inside with a dining table and two spaces for tea. The sleeping area was also spacious and relaxing with shoji screens on all the windows. The neighborhood is very quiet and private with a nice stone path inside the gate. It's a 5 minute walk to Kyomizu-dera template, and 20 minutes to Gion. Walking back at night through the side streets is especially pleasant compared to staying in a hotel downtown.

入住的时候出现了点困难，根据谷歌地址到达后怎么也打不开钥匙盒，随后步行百米才找到正确的房屋。选择这家的理由是因为装修风格特别符合我的审美，实际跟图片一模一样。美中不足的是，室内有很多巨大的蚂蚁，希望可以改善。周围很安静，适合睡眠不好的人，几十米就有便利店和超市。

Beautiful machiya-style home — very clean and comfortable. The outdoor shower and hot tub were amazing, a great and relaxing way to end each day. About a 10-minute walk to the train station, so easy to get around while still feeling peaceful and a bit secluded. Derrik was very communicative and friendly, and had a book with clear instructions for everything!

We loved our stay. The place was perfect for our family of three. It was a beautiful, modern space, with a lovely view of the creek. We were also very fortunate to be there when the cherry tree off the patio was blooming. The location was perfect and close to many restaurants and the Gion district. I couldn't imagine a better place for our first visit to Kyoto.

A fantastic and peaceful place to stay if you want to escape the crowds of Kyoto, while still being in easy transport links. Highly recommended!
