古民家らしさを残しつつも、使いやすくリフォームされていて、過ごしやすかったです。備品も整っていましたし、近くにスーパーやドラッグストアやホームセンターもあり、何も困りませんでした。家の前の道幅はかなり狭いので、坂の下の駐車場を利用しました。

Keita’s place is the best stay of my entire trip in Japan. I went with a family of four (2 adults 2 kids) and the place has a very spacious interior and with car park, outdoor dining and bbq area. 20 mins to Gransnow Okuibuki during winter which is a paradise to skiers and kids to play snow. The house has additional units of warmer which kept us warm during our stay. Owner gave us a surprise visit and curry packs as souvenir made from his own radish farm!

Stayed 3 nights at this beautiful home. great location... short walk to the metro station and centre of Kyoto. The accommodation had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Very responsive host and would definitely stay again.

A very spacious and affordable place in a nice traditional style house. The hosts were really helpful especially in sourcing a cot for us ASAP when we discovered there wasn’t one (an airbnb translation issue, not their fault). It’s a good base to explore from by car but the immediate area doesn’t have much open outside of the summer (except for an excellent tiny Taiwanese place right round the corner!)

Maison magnifique. Expérience magique. Tout était parfait. L'hôte est réactif et très sympathique. La maison se situe dans un petit quartier du nord de Kyoto, dans une ambiance de petit village. Prévoir un changement de métro pour aller au centre-ville et un peu loin de l'ouest de la ville où il y'a beaucoup de choses à voir mais ça n'a absolument pas été un problème pour nous car il y a tant de choses à voir autour de la maison, loin des lieux où il y a trop de touristes ! Les temples à côté de la maison sont sublimes et à quelques pas. Des commerces pas loin et également très proche du temple de Kurama et du village d'Ohara à visiter absolument. N'hésitez pas.

Our stay at Yamashita’s beautiful 100-year-old Japanese villa in Kyoto was the perfect way to end our 2 week vacation in Japan. The house is spacious, very clean, and well-equipped, perfect for our group of 12. It has everything you need and more. It has a serene garden, jacuzzi, and sauna—the kids especially loved the jacuzzi! Yamashita is an EXCEPTIONAL host—very warm, helpful, and accommodating. She drove us to supermarkets and places we wanted to go and even picked us up for a small fee. She prepared simple yet delicious breakfasts. She was quick to respond to messages and even guided us on using local buses. Though the house is a bit far from the touristy areas, the peace and quiet of Yamashita’s home made it the perfect retreat. It offered a more authentic and relaxing experience of Japan. I highly recommend Yamashita’s villa to anyone looking for comfort, culture, and outstanding hospitality. And to anyone looking for a truly memorable stay in a traditional Japanese home.

Amazing location for getting around Kyoto. Tons of food and shopping close. Host was so helpful and friendly. Gave a tour and showed how to work everything. Beyond helpful. Comfortable beds and the bathroom was amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer. 10/10

We stayed for four nights as a family of four with two 7-year-olds. This was one of the best Airbnb experiences we have ever had. The home itself was immaculately clean and perfect for us. The host was incredibly friendly and extremely responsive. She gave us two gifts during our stay, which was completely unnecessary, but of course very appreciated. Location and neighborhood are great. Highly recommended for families and others.
