Featured on FYI Network's Tiny House Hunters! Very spacious houseboat with a vaulted ceiling in the main cabin (living room). Sleeps 3 comfortably. Lots of room to move around with a queen size bed in the Captain's Quarters (Bedroom) and a twin bed in the living room that's a day bed. FAQ: Q: Location? A: Mid-Peninsula Downtown Charleston which is roughly 1.5 - 2 miles to the heart of the historic district. A five minute / $6 Uber away or take the bikes! The boats are located downtown in a private marina where our 5-6 boats are slipped & only shared with a large mega-yacht that rents the outside slippage 5 months out of the year. We rent this slippage from Seabreeze Dry Stack Marina (49 Immigration Street). This accommodation is for people looking for peace and tranquility as the setting of the marina is quiet and secluded. You'll have a stunning view of Charleston Harbor and the Ravenel Bridge. Q: How can I see all of your boats for rent? A: You can instant book a 1 night rental if it’s the same day as your reservation OR if you see on our calendar that your date fills a 1 night gap. We handle 1 night reservations on a case-by-case basis depending on availability but can almost always make it work. We will respond to an inquiry within minutes most times, most of the time immediately. Q: Is it comfortable? A: VERY! Our boats are designed with live-aboard / stay-aboard in mind with all the creature comforts of home. Fully stocked kitchens, premium furnishings, updated HVAC, TV, Keurig coffee makers… etc. Q: Any restaurants close by? A: TONS! Some of Charleston’s best are within a mile of the marina. Q: How to book: A: If you don’t have any questions after reading over the FAQ below then simple instant book. If you send an inquiry we’ll respond promptly, if not immediately. Q: Why is the price so different for my dates? A: Airbnb automatically sets our prices based on demand & seasonality. If you don’t search with exact dates Airbnb shows the lowest price throughout the season. Prices range from $99 per night for weekday day-of bookings in January all the way to $499 per night for weekends during peak season summer and everywhere in-between. Q: Bathroom… explain! A: The boat is equipped with an apartment sized (12 gallon) water heater ensuring you get hot water throughout the boat. You'll always have enough hot water to enjoy a 10 - 15 minute shower. The boat has a full sized marine toilet that is easy to use as long as you follow our simple instructions. Q: Heat? Air Conditioning? A: Our boats are equipped with BOTH ample Heat & Air Conditioning. No matter the time of year you can be assured that you will be staying in a climate controlled & comfortable environment. Q: Can we take the boats out & drive them? A: No. We don’t carry any insurance for bareboat charters but we do offer captained Charters on specific boats which are really fun! Charters include sightseeing in Downtown harbor, sunset cruises, full hay & ½ day cruises, special moments like engagements, or anything else you can think of. All charter requests are handled via inquiry & paid through Airbnb as part of your stay. Q: Can I check-in earlier than 4 or Checkout later than 10? A: We will do our best. Most days there’s someone checking in the same day there’s a checkout but we try & go above and beyond if this is requested. Q: Can we fish from the dock or boats? A: Absolutely! We ask that you fish either from the side or front of the vessel & stay clear of the props so your line doesn’t get prop/shaft wrapped. Fishing from the dock is also allowed as long as you mind the props of the vessels. You can easily get a fishing license from the DNR online. We operate on the honor system & don’t check for licenses but ask that you support the local DNR & pay the small fee to make it legal. We don’t supply fishing equipment & keep in mind there are no tackle shops in Downtown Charleston. Shrimp from the local Q: What to expect that's different than a hotel? A: It's a boat, it is a unique FUN experience. There may be noises and smells that you'd expect from a boat. Pumps, motors, ocean water, etc. Every boat is broken the day it hits the water, especially salt water. We take great care of our fleet but we expect guests to tell us if anything isn’t working properly & we will PROMPTLY respond & repair. Q: Waves? A: The marina has a sea wall which dilutes any waves. We are also lucky enough to be tucked behind Drum Island at the base of the Ravenel Bridge. which dilutes almost all the waves from the harbor. There is still a small amount of wave action and you'll feel a slight rock from time-to-time, mostly from boats passing by who don’t respect the no wake zone (feel free to yell at them & shake your first while doing so). If there's a bad storm or the wave action gets to a point that your stay is no longer enjoyable, we will do our best (no guarantees) to work out alternative accommodations for you as we have multiple condos Downtown for landlubbers. Your comfort is our top priority. 99% of the time the marina is almost totally flat and calm. We also keep dramamine on the dock incase anyone experiences sea sickness. Q: Will you reduce your price? A: No(ISH)... Maybe, but unlikely. Don’t expect a price reduction unless it’s the slow season & you’re messaging about days within 1-4 days of check-in or you’re looking for a long-term stay in the off season (see next “Q”). If you message us with a booking that somewhat fits the criteria above & tell us a budget we can try & work with you on one of our 6 boats. “Will you reduce the price of a weekend booking a month away” will always be a “no”. Q: Do you do long-term or monthly rentals? A: We have done long term rentals in the past. From March 1 - October 30 the boats are rented at a 90% occupancy rate so the monthly rate is only slightly reduced compared to the daily rate (around 20%). From November through February we’re much more flexible depending on length of stay & which vessel you’re interested in. It helps us to know your budget and we can tell you if we have anything that could work. Q: Smoking? A: On the outside only & please be responsible. Kindly don’t light the boat on fire. Q: Do you allow pets? A: You bet! We ask that dogs not be puppies, don’t scratch at doors, and don’t bark incessantly while you’re away. The boats are close together & a non-stop barking dog isn’t appreciated. We DEEP clean the boats after pets stay aboard due to future guests’ possible allergies so a $75 pet fee is applied for those who travel with pets. If you have a service dog & try to circumvent the pet fee be prepared to present FULL documentation. Q: Can we hold events or parties? A: No. This is a place to relax. We ask that there be no events or parties on the boats so the other guests can enjoy their stay. Q: You charge extra for more than 2 adults, do my kids count? A: Any child over the age of 13 is considered an adult & needs to be represented in the booking inquiry as an additional guest. Q: Is the marina safe? A: VERY. We have 24/7 surveillance & in the 3 years we’ve been here we’ve never had any sort of issue. We share an entrance with the port authority which has a 24/7 guarded gate. You turn into the marina before the guarded gate but it scares off any would-be pests. The parking lot & dock is well lit & the marina is right off East Bay which is one of the main roads in Downtown Charleston. All boats lock from inside & you can padlock the door when you leave if you wish to lock up your belongings. The marina is only us & we’re here daily looking over the fleet. Q: Handicap accessible? A: No. You'll need to get on the boat which requires a 1-2' step and there are steps on the boat. The deck stairs are steep and you'll need to be sure footed. Q: Parking? A: Yes, you can park your car. Since it’s a small private marina the walk to the parking lot from the boat is only roughly 50-70 yards. Q: Can I trailer my small boat & side-tie it to the boat I rented? A: You can bring your boat but it must be arranged with the marina & there’s nowhere to park a trailer. There’s also nowhere close by to slip the boat so do your research on boat landings. The marina will charge you small fee (roughly $40 - $60 nightly) to wet-slip the boat. Q: Space & Comfort? A: You'll find the layout of the boat extremely spacious and comfortable. The bed is a Queen (ish) size. Queen with slight modifications to fit the space. The shower is tall and comfortable for anyone 6’4” & under. Q: I have a non-profit, will you donate a free stay to my gala? A: I’m sure your cause is worthy, but we get this request far too often so we must decline. Q: I’m a blogger / photographer / ninja trainer… will you barter? A: No. Please don’t ask. We don’t pay our slip rent with your blog posts. Q: Will you partner with my local company or buy my advertising? A: We get penalized through Airbnb if we don’t respond to all inquiries which means we must respond to your spam. You won’t like our message so don’t send it. Q: Will this be the best vacation I’ve ever had and should I book now? A: Without a doubt.
Extremely safe and private marina in downtown Charleston. The entrance to the marina is shared with the Port Authority which has a 24/7 guard. There is a train which blocks the road to the marina leading into the port authority but it only comes 1-2X per day. Sometimes it can block the roadway for up to 20 minutes but that is infrequent.

This rental is a two story villa and an incredibly serene and relaxing space. On the first floor there is a small kitchenette, large living area with pull out sofa, and half bath. The kitchenette includes a full size fridge, toaster oven, microwave, pots & pans, dinnerware, basic cooks tools, and a stove top with two burners. There is no traditional oven or dishwasher. There is a dining table for two but no formal dining area. Sleep comfortably in the king size bed upstairs and enjoy the peaceful natural light that beams through the windows surrounding the entire second floor.
This property is located in the Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood, which is considered the "Gateway to the Peninsula". Along the Spring Street and Cannon Street corridor are local restaurants, flower shops, bakeries, and small boutiques.

Fix breakfast in the neatly arrayed, straight-aspect kitchen then serve it up at the breakfast bar in this cheery guest suite. The garage-based, studio-style space features no separating walls and offers warm polished wooden floors and a love seat. We JUST PUT IN A QUEEN SIZED BED! So disregard the reviews where people weren’t happy with the full sized bed ( even though it was listed as such when they booked it)!
This is a cool, clean, modern detached garage apartment in Charleston's coolest neighborhood- Avondale. Avondale has been named coolest neighborhood 3 years running by Charleston City Paper, and it's easy to see why. Walk or bike to over a dozen pubs, restaurants, shops, salons, yoga studios, etc... including Pearlz, Al di la, Triangle, The Glass Onion, Mex 1, Gene's Haufbrau, Voodoo, and The Roost, (to name a few) all just a block or so away from the apartment. We are only 3 miles to the heart of historic downtown Charleston, and only 20 minutes to Folly, Sullivan's or Isle of Palms. We are also only a few blocks from the West Ashley greenway- a local biking/walking/running path that cuts through the city. It's a great way to get your exercise in, or to get over to South Windemere shopping center to do a little eating at Med Bistro or shopping at Half Moon Outfitters. The apartment is a true studio- with no walls separating living areas, but it's charming and clean, and you can't beat the location. Fully equipped kitchen as well. This IS NOT downtown Charleston- it is just over the drawbridge from the peninsula. You will have access to beach chairs, a beach Umbrella and a cooler if you would like. Anything else, just ask and we will try to accommodate ! We try to meet all guests face to face upon check in if possible, but occasionally leave a key under the mat if we aren't going to be around. Other than that- we don't interact with guests much unless we see each other coming and going in the driveway. Feel free to approach us with questions, but we understand how guests prefer privacy on vacation, and we try to respect this. A car is the best way to get downtown- even though it's only a few miles a way there is no bike lane on the Ashley River bridge- so unless you are an experienced bike rider - I would drive- but once you are downtown, walking or biking is the best way to see everything. Closer to home, here in Avondale, almost everything is within walking or biking distance, and it's easy to get around that way. An uber ride downtown is $8-$10.Taxis are fairly inexpensive as well, and there is a city bus that stops a block away, but Charleston isn't known for its public transit, so I can't vouch for it. There are also water taxis that can take you to Mount Pleasant and back! There is a tall set of stairs leading up to the apartment and the shower is pretty small.
Avondale is a trendy community just outside the Charleston peninsula – about 3 miles from the heart of the historic district. It is comprised of several modest but eclectic neighborhoods surrounding a thriving bar and restaurant scene.

    Located in the quiet Wagener Terrace Neighborhood in downtown Charleston just about a 3-5 minute drive (or short bike ride) from Upper King, amazing restaurants and shopping. Gorgeous 76 acre Hampton Park is right around the corner as well as the Citadel Military College and the Ashley River. Our local Charleston farmer's market at Marion Square is just over a mile and half away along with many historic sites. Everything downtown is very convenient and easily accessible by car, taxi, pedicab, or bike. Uber is now alive and well in Charleston. Feel free to bring your own bikes or I can recommend some nearby bike rental companies.

    Cute studio guest house located in the historic and charming Old Village area of Mount Pleasant. Location is spectacular between downtown & the beach. Not only are you 5 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from downtown, you are walking distance to restaurants and a grocery store. The neighborhood is quiet, friendly, and safe. The entire studio is private. Features hardwood floors and an updated bathroom. Shared backyard has great shade and an area to sit and relax.
    This property is adjacent to my other listing (1BD in Charming Neighborhood w/ Elevated Patio) which sleeps 4. If you need an additional unit, check out my other listing for availability. I do not allow pets, but there are pets on the property and in the other units. You can expect to see friendly dogs, cats, and lots of birds enjoying the back yard. Fish and a turtle can sometimes be seen in the pond. Please do not allow any pets inside the unit during your stay. Plates, silverware, pots & pans, napkins, and other dining essentials are provided for you. Towels, shampoo, & conditioner are also provided. TV is equipped with local channels (availability subject to antenna strength and weather) and Netflix.

We're minutes from Middleton Place, Drayton Hall & Magnolia Gardens, an easy drive to downtown Charleston, historic Summerville, beaches & golf courses.
    Park under the grand oaks, follow the walkway around to your private entrance and make yourself at home! The "bunkhouse" is a newly renovated spacious loft above our detached oversized garage. It is completely private yet bright and cheerful, with large windows that look out over our wooded property. You may see deer and other wildlife (and our little flock of chickens) but you won't see another house and you won't hear the sounds of traffic, just owls, crickets and the occasional "cock-a-doodle-doo" of our good lookin' rooster. Step inside and you'll find a well equipped kitchen with a full size refrigerator and stove, a large island, coffee maker, coffee, tea, bottled water, ice, a few snacks and maybe even some fresh eggs from our chickens that roam the property. The hanging beds, cozy quilts and comfy pillows might just make you want to extend your stay! The bathroom has a roomy shower and plenty of fresh fluffy towels, shampoo, soap, hairdryer, etc. There's also satellite TV (Directv) and books & games for you to enjoy. You'll find a selection of maps, brochures and restaurant guides for Charleston and Summerville to help you plan your adventures. (Yes, food is an adventure in Charleston!).
    We're located on a large wooded piece of property on a private road, so there's no traffic and lots of peace and quiet. We have chickens that roam the property, honeybees and (seasonally) a vegetable/herb garden. It's the perfect place to get away, relax...nap...maybe even write that novel.

    @RockvilleAirBnB: This nationally registered historic home was built in the early 1800s and is a 35 minute scenic drive to downtown Charleston, Popular beaches, as well as many historical landmarks and parks. If you are looking for a place defined by Natural Beauty and Southern Charm--there is nothing closer to stepping back in time before the busyness of modern life than here in the village of Rockville. We welcome anyone looking for some peace and quiet on a front porch overlooking the river.
    There is history around every corner in the house! The house was built in the 1800s and has been home to four generations of the Stevens Family who originally moved to the Island to start their shrimping business. The shrimp boat dock operated right outside the front porch! The Deepwater dock was destroyed during hurricane Gracie in 1959 and moved to Cherry Point. The business is now owned and operated by my cousin Micah Jenkins and is called “Cherry Point Seafood Co.” You can stop by and purchase fresh seafood right off the boat. The shrimp business also expanded to include tow boats as well as ferry boats that took islanders all over Charleston before the major roads and bridges were built. The best part of the house in my opinion is the front porch where I have spent hours reading in the hammock, sipping on sweet tea, and talking with friends and family. A weekend or day at the house feels like a week when you are in Rockville. Time really seems to slow down and you feel like you can just take a deep breath of fresh air. To reflect the character of the area and history of the home we do not have cable tv or internet. When you come to visit we want our guests and family to be able to fully experience the peace of nature by unplugging and giving your spirit the chance to recharge. I remember riding down Maybank highway as a kid... as soon as the oak trees and the draping Spanish moss came into view I knew we had made it home! *We do have a t-mobile hotspot available and connected for use. *There is a dvd collection, books, board games, cards, and a radio for entertainment. Remember, this is a very old family home. With any old house you will find beauty, character, and many quirks. If you are looking to book a modernly immaculate resort, try looking at Kiawah. If you want to experience simple and charming Southern Living surrounded by natural and historic beauty, this is the right place for you!

    Thank you for considering a stay at the Club house. It is a private 2 bedroom house. Both bedrooms have queen sized beds with brand new mattresses. There is 1 full bath with brand new (2 seat) shower and rain head. The living room sofa also pulls out into another queen sized bed. The Club house has a cabin or lodge type feeling. Considered romantic if it’s just 2 of you.... or easily family friendly if you have children. It is warm, homey and inviting. The furniture is super comfy. The house feels like you are staying at your grandma’s house when you were a little kid. The bedding and linens are new, yet mismatched, to lend a country casual feeling to your stay. The house is cozy. The windows let in lots of light and have great views of the sunset over the ponds and paddocks. Located on 110 flat pastoral acres. 30 minutes from downtown Charleston. 15 minutes to West Ashley. 17 miles to Folly Beach. 20 miles to Edisto Island. 24 miles to Charleston International airport. In addition to the club house rental you can rent the use of a 2 person ATV ($25 per day). We offer free interaction with the goats, horses, chickens, and cats. You can enter the goat pen and hand feed them, pet them, or just sit with them. Please watch out for their horns. The two smaller goats will climb on your lap. Make sure to latch the goat pen door after or they will run straight into the barn, where they spend the nights. You can collect fresh eggs from behind the chicken coop. Make sure to re-latch the (HEAVY) lifting door. As for the horses, we prefer you stay OUTSIDE of the paddocks... petting them over the fence. You are welcome to come to the barn, at our nightly check (text me), and give cookies to the horses. Please wear boots in the barn and around the horses. We also have a fire pit if you would like to have a bonfire. We set it up with seating, an optional cooking grate, skewers, extra logs, and extinguish it after ($10 set up fee). The club house fridge is stocked with bottled water and snacks. We respect your privacy and will not bother you. But, I am available at anytime to answer any questions during your stay.     Our old plantation home is on Adams Creek in Rockville, Wadmalaw Island, near Charleston, SC. If you're not familiar with our area, and many are not, you may think we're near the beaches, but we're not(by car-30 minutes). Rockville is a small historic village at the end of HWY 700 and 11 miles from civilization(grocery store, McDonalds, gasoline, restaurants, etc). It's amazingly quiet here, with plenty of boating activities happening and lots of marine life and river scapes to enjoy.
    Our historic home is in an OLD fishing & farming village in the country on Adams Creek. It's an old plantation home with outstanding views, quiet peaceful setting, huge oak trees, and deep water. It's the perfect spot to unwind, refuel, relax, and enjoy nature.

There are 3 bedrooms upstairs & a shared bath area. We have an outdoor shower with hot & cold water. The television is in the living room with 13 channels, including the major networks, & Apple TV featuring Netflix. Wireless internet is available. My kitchen and living area are to be lived in as if it's your own. Meals taken on the porch overlooking the Leadenwah Creek are peaceful and relaxing. My washer and dryer are available for you, also. Enjoy the quiet peace that Wadmalaw and our 10 wooded acres afford you. Take a free tour through the woods & neighboring cemetery, chicken coop & dock accompanied by my 4-legged guide, Stella. (A belly-rub tip is greatly appreciated.) Swim, kayak, fish, enjoy the sunset from my private dock. Use our 2 kayaks for exploring the creek or fishing. If it's cool, have a bonfire. Country amenities abound at my home. My birder visitors have exclaimed about the rookery, laden with no less than a dozen white egrets, existing in a tall, droopy tree jutting out from a hunk of mud in our marsh. This lush marsh, tidal creek and mud out my front door draw a variety of fowl, including Snowy & Great Egrets, Clapper Rails, Tri-Color Herons, Roseate Spoonbills, Painted Buntings and Red-Tailed Hawks, to name a few. Your drive to nearby historic plantations is a tree-lined, country delight without city traffic. The same is true for day trips to the resort islands of Kiawah and Seabrook. John's Island is right next door with many relaxing activities, including horseback riding & farmers' markets. Our own Wadmalaw has America's only tea plantation and a local winery. Folly Beach is a 24 mile drive. Kiawah's Beachwalker Park is 22 miles. This is owned & operated by Charleston County Parks and is a lovely drive on an oak-canopied country road.

    This is a really neat 1000 sq ft. bungalow on tidal creek facing the intracoastal waterway. It has a back deck to grill out, relax, and catch the most beautiful sunsets you'll ever see. On the other side is a pond filled with fish. On the high incoming tide kayaking is accessible. The bungalow has a fully functioning kitchen, small living area with TV, and 2 queen. Location is Rural Charleston, away from all the traffic congestion but short distance from all the beaches and downtown Charleston.
    This bungalow is a Rustic, Peaceful, Private, Eclectic haven. It's low country look and antique flare give it a neat place to stay. Coffee maker, basic kitchen necessities, and toiletries are supplied. There is a queen size bed down stairs with a couch. The loft upstairs (steep ladder to get up there) has a queen bed and love seat. We just added a washing machine and dryer. There’s a back screened in porch (with a grill) to watch the most beautiful sunsets and cook out. We have 3 hammocks on the property along with a pond and salt water inlet. On the high tide you can use the kayaks to fully take advantage of all it’s beauty. There are also 4 bikes that are available for use anytime!
    This neighborhood is a beautiful spacious circle of homes located on a peninsula of open waters.

    This cozy studio apartment, above a garage which provides parking for guests, is situated among large oak trees overlooking lowcountry marsh/tidal creek from one window and a tropical garden from another. The 'big' house and guest apartment is on 16 wooded but manicured acres, with a working greenhouse nursery on the other end of the property. We are on the upper end of Johns Island far enough out to provide peace and quiet yet less than 30 minutes from downtown Charleston and the beaches of Kiawah and Folly. There is one full size bed and an optional twin size airbed which can be utilized for a third person.
    Beautiful wooded, rural setting offering privacy along with peace and quiet.

    My apartment is close to the beach and Night Heron Park. The apartment overlooks a secluded 20 x 40 salt water pool that you may use. Good for couples, solo, or business travelers. The unit has: washer/dryer, 2 bikes, gas grill, and 3 beach chairs. There is also an efficiency kitchen with microwave, toaster oven, dual burners, mini fridge, and iron. This pool house is in a separate building with a separate entrance. At times, I or guests may be in the main house. License BL012642-02-2019
    This pool house is located on Cougar Golf Course and down a long secluded driveway. It is close to the beach, Night Heron Park and Freshfields (Harris Teeter grocery store with a Starbucks and resturants, shopping medical, dental etc.) The pool house has a separate entrance in a separate building from the main house. Cancellations within 48 hours are charged at $150 service fee plus any extra services that were requested upon booking. Beach - you are closest to Boardwalk 10. Boardwalk 40/41 is at the end of the island and is worth a visit if you have a few hours. To get thru the 2nd gate to Ocean Course - state you are going to the Ryder Cup Bar. Look up for Eagles, osprey, brown pelicans as you drive. Parking is available at boardwalk 40/41 and at the Sandcastle. The Sandcastle is close to Boardwalk 10.

    Our 1 bedroom loft villa is very quiet. We have no neighbors above, below or on one side. Bright windows with a 2-story vaulted ceiling in the living room make the villa feel more spacious. A small deck and screen porch for enjoying the outdoors.
    Our villa is one flight of steps above the ground with a covered entry. Although it is not a large villa, it is quiet and a great place to relax.
    Seabrook is a private residential barrier island about 25 minutes from downtown Charleston. A gated community, there are never crowds! It is very peaceful, and designed to enjoy the low country natural surroundings.
