With aged oak and natural tones the barn welcomes your tired feet to a stress and city-free escape. On the route between Falmouth and the Helford River, it comfortably fits a couple with a child.
This south facing barn offers year-round accommodation with self catering facilities for those who prefer an independent break. It comfortably accommodates 2 adults and a child; with a large double bedroom and small single room. (The bedrooms are within the pitch of the roof and may not be comfortable for someone over 6'2".) The spacious open plan kitchen/lounge has solid oak flooring and modern cooking facilities with more than adequate space for evenings in. The paneled bathroom is fitted with a shower, WC and basin, with a stone tiled floor and underfloor heating. The utility is fitted with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Guests will be provided with hand and bath towels along with a welcome pack including the essentials needed for self catering. We're willing to provide advice, so please don't hesitate to ask us recommendations for activities or restaurants. We live next to the barn and will be present most of the time.
Pennance Mill is a rural hamlet on the road between Falmouth and Mawnan Smith, with country walks and beaches nearby. It's only a short bus journey or taxi trip into Falmouth, which would cost no more than a few pounds.

A stylishly furnished king-sized annex overlooking the garden with its own private entrance. The room is at the back of our Victorian townhouse and has its own ensuite shower room and a private parking space. It is located in central Falmouth close to the town centre, beaches, rail stations and some of the university campus buildings. It is ideal for couples, parents visiting their kids at university and business travellers. Please note there's no breakfast, only tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
The room and its ensuite are in an annex with its own private entrance through the garden. Guests are welcome to use the garden. Please note that there are no cooking facilities, but there is a small silent fridge. It is a quiet and comfortable space for a good nights sleep with its king-sized bed and blackout curtains. There is a private ensuite with walk in shower. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap and towels are provided. There is a 'storage corridor' with plenty of room to put suitcases etc and guests can hang clothes on hooks and hangers. There is a completely silent fridge, a DAB radio/bluetooth speaker next to the bed, and a desk to work at, or to sit and drink a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Please note that no breakfast is provided, but you are welcome to bring your own things to eat, or there are plenty of lovely cafes for breakfast in Falmouth close by.
The house is near the town centre, so there are a lot of great restaurants and some nice independent shops within easy walking distance, and a Tesco supermarket less than 5 mins walk into town. There are fab independent cafes called Espressini and Good Vibes Cafe close by which do great breakfasts and coffee, or there is a Wetherspoon pub/restaurant 2 mins walk into town which does a good full English breakfast for very little money. Or I can recommend Gylly Beach Cafe for breakfast - it is only 20 mins walk and literally on the beach!

Lovely, snug flat perfect for two guests looking to hide away somewhere in the middle of Falmouth, with gated parking and outside seating area overlooking the harbour.
Falmouth is well known for its waterside activities, and lively town vibe; and this flat gives great access to both. It's bang smack in the middle of the town, right on the water, and has the rarest of advantages in town - its own parking spot, which is inside a secure gated area. Newly refurbished, it's clean, warm and comfortable, but also (hopefully) tastefully kitted out with some home comforts. For sunny days, you won't be found wanting for access to any number of activities, safe in the knowledge that your car doesn't need to move after x number of hours. Regular activities on the main town squares are within easy walking distance, boat trips from the pier are on your doorstep, and the ferry to St Mawes less than 100 metres away. For rainy days, there's the telly with access to Sky...plus a variety of board games...and a PS3 with some old school classics...not to mention the bookshelf...or DVDs. Lastly, I do love a good coffee, so there's a nice Nespresso machine here to be used.
Falmouth is a year-round vibrant town, unique to Cornwall in that there is the omnipresent university crowd who give the area its energy. Three great beaches, countless good eateries, river cruises, fishing trips, walking routes of any length, pubs-a-plenty, and near to any number of days out...this town really is a great centre to a south Cornwall break.

Tucked away on the banks of the River Fal, our secluded, wild location is one of the most unique settings in Cornwall. At the heart of the venue is the 300 year old Lost Cottage of Penperth. In addition there are 4 individual accommodation pods; the Treehouse, Potting Shed, Hunting Lodge and Shepherd's Hut. Set within an ancient oak woodland in a private creek, the scene is wild, creative and peaceful. It is the perfect getaway for big groups, families, friends, corporate and more.
There are 18 beds in total: the Treehouse (Sleeps 2), Potting Shed (4), Hunting Lodge (Sleeps 2), Shepherd's Hut (Sleeps 2) and the Cottage (Sleeps 8). Our adventurous venue has a large fire pit, long outdoor feast table, hammock area overlooking the river, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen including clay pizza oven and gas hobs. There are two toilets, two hot outdoor showers, a washing up area, as well as a large versatile barn, with wood burner and indoor seating; perfect for parties, dining, reading and relaxing. All this plus acres of woodland to roam and wild swimming in the river. The Fal estuary is also the perfect spot for kayaking, canoeing or fishing if you have your own equipment, or subject to availability, we can contact local companies to take groups out on the river in Canadian Canoes or offer kayak hire direct from our creek.
The Roseland Peninsula is a beautiful, peaceful part of Cornwall. The King Harry Ferry (also known as the moving bridge) makes it extremely accessible to Truro and Falmouth. The Roseland hosts some of the best beaches on the south coast (Porthbeor, Towan, Porthcurnick and Pendower just to name a few). All great for swimming and beach days and all within 15 minutes drive from our venue. Local villages such as Portscatho and St Mawes provide convenience stores, pubs, restaurants and cafes as well as picturesque views of the coastline. Boat trips from St Mawes to Falmouth run daily and frequently all year round (except in very bad weather). The Fal river - where we are based - is one of the deepest natural harbours in the world. It boasts beautiful scenery and wildlife. We highly recommend including some time on the river during your stay.

'Little Bream' is a cosy barn cottage (sleeps 2) in the hamlet of Meudon between Falmouth and the Helford River, within walking distance of Mawnan Smith, Maenporth beach, a pub, cafes and restaurants. 10 minutes drive into Falmouth and also to the Falmouth University Tremough Campus. Little Bream has a sea view from the bedroom, and a garden/BBQ area and is set in 2 acres of garden. 10 mins walk to the South West Coast Path
Little Bream is a two storey attached cottage which was built in 2016, attached but with its own separate entrance. It comprises an open plan fully fitted kitchen, dining and lounge with stairs up to large bedroom with super king size bed, open plan luxury shower and separate WC. The lounge has an armchair and a comfy sofa. It is equipped with Wi-Fi, smart TV, books and games. The dining area has a table and chairs for cosy evenings in. Even though there is underfloor heating, there is also a woodburning effect electric fire to keep it cosy on those autumn/winter evenings. The shaker style kitchen is fully fitted with granite worktops, ceramic hob, oven with grill, extractor fan, washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, kettle and food processor. There is also a laundry rack, ironing board and iron. Stairs take you up to the large open plan bedroom. Please note there is no door separating the downstairs from the upstairs, but there is a door to the WC! There is a huge luxury power shower, towel rail, basin and mirror. The whole house has a douglas fir wooden frame which adds much character to this newly built barn conversion. There are two large Velux windows with blackout blinds, one of which has a beautiful sea view. Little Bream has two areas for sitting out; a table and chairs to enjoy breakfast al fresco on the lawn to the east, and on the other side of the barn a gravelled area with BBQ, as well as a high table and chairs to enjoy a glass of wine whilst the sun sets to the west. There is a dedicated car parking space for 'Little Bream'. We are eco friendly with an air source heat pump providing underfloor heating and plenty of hot water, and we have our own sewage treatment plant. Please note that when we have clicked yes to 'Air Con' it is a mechanical ventilation heat recovery system. Towels, bedding and T towels are all included
Meudon is a small hamlet consisting of a small dairy farm, a few pretty cottages, a hotel with beautiful grounds to the sea and a great bar and restaurant. Our most famous residents are Arthur, Avis, Maureen and Mavis, our beautiful peacocks who roam around the hamlet and as of September 2017 we have two little peacock babies (chickpeas) running around too. Within ten minutes walk is the pretty village of Mawnan Smith with its thatched pub, fantastic Spanish Tapas restaurant, fabulous cafe 'The Cornish Maid', and two shops. Trebah and Glendurgan gardens are both within 5 mins drive from 'Little Bream'. In the opposite direction is Maenporth beach, with its award winning restaurant 'The Cove', beach cafe, watersports rentals, and beautiful sandy beach. We are also 10-15 minutes walk from Bream Cove, our little secret, so shhhhh don't tell everyone! A simply beautiful place to swim, and relatively undiscovered......

Beautiful period cottage just a couple of minutes walk from the beaches, bars, restaurants, galleries, pubs and shops of the bustling old fishing village of St Mawes. Relax on the large sun deck with a glass of wine, looking out at the boats across the harbour. Or recline in the cosy cottage sitting room in front of the log burner, playing a selection of board games. 60mb wifi and parking space included, as are towels and bed linen.
The great thing about Fisherman's Cottage is that its a really cosy, homely environment, tucked away on a quiet street; yet its practically bang in the middle of the lively seaside village of St Mawes, with pubs and restaurants just minutes away. The cottage, along with the others in the same street, was built in the 1700s to accommodate local fishermen. We renovated the cottage in 2013, creating a warm, comfortable modern interior, whilst retaining its original character and features. The front door opens on to a large bright sitting room area with loads of sofa space and a lovely log burner. There are a selection of board games and a TV, Blu-ray player and Amazon Fire TV Box (loaded with a Netflix subscription) tucked discretely away in the corner cupboard - just in case you're unlucky with the weather! To the rear of the sitting room is a kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is new and well equipped. There is dishwasher, fan oven, induction hobs, toaster, kettle, microwave and filter coffee machine. Through the kitchen is a small utility area with the washer/dryer which opens to the sun deck at the rear of the cottage and a downstairs loo. The sun deck is really the jewel of the cottage's crown. There's a sea view and a table for some al fresco dining and a BBQ for those lazy summer evenings. Upstairs, the large double bedroom is a decent size, with plenty of storage space. There is also a more compact double room - the bed here is only accessible on one side - and a twin bunk room at the rear of the cottage. The bathroom is bright and fresh and has a bath with a shower over.
Fisherman's Cottage is brilliantly located in the heart of St Mawes. The sea/beach, The Rising Sun pub and Idle Rocks Hotel (boasting an excellent cocktail bar and restaurant!) are within 100 metres of the property. There are several very decent pubs and restaurants just a short walk away. An excellent mini-supermarket, Post Office, butcher, baker, pharmacy and fresh fish stall are within approximately 250 metres of the cottage. Lloyds Bank, Barclays bank (with ATM) and a small number of galleries, craft shops and clothing stores are all within a 5 minute walk. The famous St Mawes Castle, built by Henry VIII, with stunning views of Carrick Roads (the 3rd largest natural harbour in the world) is just a 10 minute walk from the cottage. There are some truly breathtaking coastal walks and views right on your doorstep. With or without a car, there are loads of fun things to do here. The coastline on the Roseland is, without doubt, the most stunning that the British Isles has to offer (not that I'm biased or anything!). The walks are amazing. But, if walking isn't your thing, St Mawes has some great restaurants and pubs and Falmouth (just a short ferry ride) is a charming seaside town with loads to offer. There's also watersports, golf courses, tennis courts, theme parks, gardens, boat trips, the Eden Project and many more exciting things to do in the area. Don't forget to check out the map at the bottom of this page where I have marked some local points of interest.

The village offers a good selection of shops, restaurants, and things to see and do including: - 3 beaches actually in the village, plus lots more locally - St Mawes Castle - Lamorran Gardens - The Idle Rocks and Tresanton hotels - Watersports from the harbour (stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing trips, RIB trips, self-drive boat hire) - Lots of coastal walks including to the famous Hidden Hut - Ferry rides around the Fal River If you are coming to stay during peak summer season it is advisable to make restaurant reservations in advance. A delightful former fisherman's cottage, a stone throw from the picturesque harbour. This three bedroom cottage has been tastefully and freshly decorated. A comfortable place to stay close to the heart of the village and with its own parking place.
Wiggy's Cottage is an adorable old fisherman's cottage in one of the quietest little back streets of St Mawes only moments from the harbour. With the Rising Sun being literally a stone's throw away, the Harbour with the ferries to Falmouth, Truro and Place and the local beaches only a short walk away, you could quite easily not have to use your car at all when you stay at Wiggy's.Originally constructed around 200 years ago, this charming old terraced cottage is part of one of the oldest streets in St Mawes which happens to be one of the quietest and most convenient places to stay. There is a small private car park opposite the front door and Wiggy's has the benefit of a private space just yards away. The property also has the benefit of a very private 2 level rear patio garden which is a delightful place to enjoy the afternoon sun or an evening BBQ. (BBQ not provided but you may bring your own).Accommodation The front door, gives access to the ground floor that is floored throughout with quarry tiles and is heavily beamed.Ground Floor: The comfortable lounge has TV with DVD, music centre, and a multifuel stove. Iron & ironing board.First Floor: Stairs from the dining room lead to the little landing with the main double bedroom to one side. There is a never ending variety of boating to keep the view changing - kayaks paddling out of the harbour, regular ferry passenger services to Falmouth and other destinations up the Fal estuary, the constant bustle of sailing boats, both large and small, and shipping movements further out to sea will keep all amused. During the winter it is a quiet, peaceful village that rarely sees frosts or snow.Accommodation Second Floor: Enter into a hallway with boot rack and clothes pegs with doors to: WC with hand basin. Our self contained bedsit annex is ideally situated close to the harbour and local beach (300 meters away). It's ideal for a couple who want a convenient location, with free parking, good restaurants and pubs nearby. There is however, some building/house renovation work under way in our lane. The pub at the bottom of our hill serves great breakfasts and all day food. St.Mawes has local shops, boutiques and amenities. It has easy links to Falmouth by foot ferry and by car on the King Harry Ferry.
The bed sit annex has a fridge/freezer, ice cubes, toaster, microwave, tea/coffee making facilities, within a small kitchenette. I supply some tea, coffee and sugar, strawberry jam and marmalade. We have recently added a small dining table and chairs for two. For your arrival, I include a 'Welcome' treat of fresh fruit scones, clotted cream and a pint of milk. Enjoy! Additional - Hairdryer, bathroom and beach towels. If you need the use of an iron and ironing board, just ask. We have Wifi but it can be intermittent. St. Mawes has limited cell phone coverage, however in the harbour, the signal is stronger.
St. Mawes is beautiful. It has lovely beaches nearby and great coastal walking routes. Guests can take the foot ferry to Falmouth from the harbour, leaving the car behind. There are good pubs, restaurants, hotel restaurants, and cafes so guests have choice of eating and watering holes. Boating, kayaking, sailing, fishing and other water activities are available at the harbour (depending on the season).

Located only 500m from St Mawes harbour, but in a quiet location with plenty of on-street parking, High Bank is ideal for your break in this beautiful Cornwall village. There are stunning river views from all the front rooms and outdoor sitting areas. The whole house is available to rent and sleeps up to 8 people. Note that although the house is a bungalow, there are steps up from the road to access it. Not suitable for very young children due to steep drops from the garden. No pets please.
The house has been completely renovated and refurbished so is in great condition. WiFi with internet tv. Log burner for cozy nights in. Extensive outdoor furniture for enjoying the views in the day and watching the moon over the water at night. Location is away from the busy water front but only a five minute walk to all the St Mawes amenities. The village has 3 beaches, 2 pubs, the Tresanton, Idle Rocks and St Mawes Hotels, the Watch House restaurant, Deli, a great bakery, butchers and a well stocked Co-op as well as several shops. There is a foot ferry to Falmouth if you need more variety. A particular favourite is to go mackerel fishing. You can easily keep entertained and not drive for 2 weeks. The Roseland peninsular offers some amazing walks, little known beaches and calmer waters than the North coast. If you have any questions let me know and I can advise.
Probably the most chic sea front village in Cornwall for those in the know.

Tregear Vean Cottage lends itself to anyone wishing to let their hair down and enjoy a break relaxing whilst taking in the beautiful county of Cornwall. The cottage is a comfortable, pet friendly, three bedroom converted barn with an Aga and multi-fuel burner in the kitchen( which we use as the heart of the house), and a relaxing snug sitting room, also with a multi-fuel burner downstairs. Upstairs we have three bedrooms with the master bedroom leading out to the garden.
Through the front door and you enter into the sitting room. This room we use for cosy evenings or duvet days as it consists of two large sofa's, a television and a multi-fuel burning stove. Along with low exposed wooden beams the sitting room lends itself to relaxing in. Through to the kitchen. This room started life as three separate rooms, but for one reason or another my wife decided to knock down two walls and install a large multi-fuel burning stove. Genius! This is the center of the house. At one end of the room is the stove along with comfy couch and armchair, plus table, chairs and a dart board. At the other end is an Aga and oven, Belfast sink and work surfaces for feast preparations. Garden access is from the kitchen, and our recently installed patio is wonderful for sunny evening BBQ's. The kitchen has played host to many a large gathering and has naturally become the heart of the house. Upstairs their is three bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and an en-suite. The en-suite comprises a toilet, bath and shower( downstairs toilet also has a shower). This room also has access to the garden through french doors which are lovely to leave open on a warm evening, or to let the day in with your first cup of tea in bed. Bedroom across the landing and to the left contains a double bed with plenty of space for bags and a travel cot. Bedroom to the right has plenty of space also plus a bunk-bed, the bottom of which is a double and the top a single. The garden. The outside area is a spacious garden with two patios, tables and chairs, a large BBQ and a Chimenea . We also provide beach going essentials such as bucket and spades, crab netting equipment, boogey boards, beach towels, umbrella, snorkels and masks.
St Mawes is a lovely little village which for me offers everything i could want when not at work. I haven't the literary skills to do this village justice and i'm sure it wouldn't take too long to find a wonderful description on the internet that does, but it is lovely place for gathering memories and somewhere you can be on holiday every day of the year. St Mawes has the usual amenities, shops both food and gift, a post office and bank machine. We've pubs enough to suite all tastes and cafes to cover all else, plus various restaurants of varying choice. Falmouth is just a short ferry trip away, and is a lovely town. Just beware not to miss the last ferry home as its a long crawl to bed!
