On Thrasher Magazine’s Skate and Destroy Tour, walk—or roll—through the architecture, history, and underground scene that made the city a global skateboarding mecca. • Begin at St. Mary’s Square to learn how Modernist architecture in Northern California created the most radical terrain for skateboarders, before exploring iconic spots like Black Rock, China Banks, Portsmouth Square and Embarcadero to hear how sculptures, plazas, and surfaces shaped the sport. • Follow the lines of legends like Tommy Guerrero, Keith Hufnagel, and Mike Carroll, and see firsthand how Financial District plazas became proving grounds for technical innovation in skateboarding. • Conclude at the Ferry Building, steps from the Embarcadero, where modern technical street skating was born. Uncover LA's Haunted History & the True Crimes of Downtown

Guided by "Gourmet Ghosts" author James T. Bartlett, step into downtown's spookiest locations and explore the architecture, crimes - and ghost stories - of LA's dark and deadly history. We start at the Biltmore Hotel, where the "Black Dahlia" was last seen alive, where ghosts haunt the ballrooms, and where a classic ghost movie was filmed. We then walk a block to Oviatt's Deadly Dream, the palace of Fashionista and designer James Oviatt - and building he still haunts after it killed him. Next we'll stop outside the Cecil Hotel. Two serial killers stayed here, and we will revisit Elisa Lam - the girl found dead on the roof water tank - and hear about the hotel's place at the center of "Suicide Triangle." Back on Spring Street, we will visit the building that now houses the Last Bookstore, and conjure up their resident ghost by going behind-the-scenes to where he died. Opposite is the Alexandria Hotel and its "Ghost Wing", which has been sealed off from the world for over 85 years, and we'll find out why the LAPD were searching for a "Ghost Woman" who had murdered a guest. Also we visit the unique skylit Bradbury Building. Known for appearing in "Blade Runner" and "The Artist", this 132 year-old legend was born came from a ghostly encounter through time. We are happy to introduce you 60-minute Glow Boat Experience on pedal boats! A romantic night date idea on San Diego Bay! The boat illuminates 360 degrees inside and outside, and it is a lot of fun riding it after dark. To complete your experience, a Bluetooth speaker will make the boat rock'n'roll. Our crew will guide everyone through Night Bay to ensure your safety. On an average night, we have 8-12 Glow boats and two boats with our safety crew. The ride will start at America's Cup Harbor, and after a short 15 minutes of pedaling, you will find yourself in San Diego Bay with a beautiful Night view of Downtown. Listen to music, chat with your partner, and enjoy fantastic scenery! Pedal boats can accommodate up to 3 adults (600lb maximum weight). No experience is necessary to maneuver these pedal boats; you are good to go if you can ride a bike! Depending on your group size, you will get one personal boat or a couple of boats (maximum capacity is up to 3 adults and 1 small child (4-5 years old). Prior to boarding, pose like a seasoned pro for a photo shoot with the airplane. Once you’re on board, the pilot will give you an overview of the instruments and controls. After getting clearance from the tower, you’ll taxi to the runway for takeoff. Once at cruising altitude, you’ll learn basic flying skills in the training area over the Simi Valley. Then, grab hold of the controls and feel free to move about the skies, exploring LA by air. Finally, in preparation for landing, you’ll come back down to earth at Van Nuys Airport. Other things to note IMPORTANT : This experience is currently only offered as a private experience. The guest has to book both spots on the experience and will be allowed to bring an additional guest to sit in the back seat. Only one guest will be in the front seat. Approximate flight time is 40 mins Expect a cancellation if there is bad weather. Only two passengers are allowed per ride to create a guest-focused experience.
