Guests will be able to see Miami's nightlife with different restaurants/bars along the river with live music.Once we are done crossing the river, we will head back to the marina on a different route. Each person gets 1 hour on the wheel! This experience is 2 hours for 2 people. If it's just you book for one person. If there are two, please book two slots. The first 5 minutes of class I will give you a brief tour of the studio. You will get access to a local Portland artists’ studio and a chance to see behind the scenes of the artists’ process as well as works in progress. What is unique about this space is all of the residents are practicing artists and business owners. It is a great space to get a peek into the Portland art scene. I will start the instruction by explaining the main principles of wheel throwing technique using visual aids. We will then move into the practical instruction. I will instruct you on centering the clay on the wheel, using the coning technique to prep the clay, and finally pulling the clay into its final form. You will have enough time to make between 1-2 pieces depending on what you choose to create. Some great first project ideas include: mug, bowl, etc. You might get muddy! Each students get 1 hour of instruction time. Come with a strong vision in mind or we can create something unique together! The goal of this class is for you to leave with a solid knowledge of beginner wheel throwing technique

Come and spend a day at a farm and make art! We are a woman owned organic farm located near the Sandy River. We have converted a century old dairy barn into a ceramic studio. Let’s spend the day playing with clay and learning together. Here we have options based around your skill level and interests. I can lead you on the potters wheel or in hand building techniques. For an additional cost of $25 per person I will fire your projects in my kiln and you can choose a glaze color for your finished pieces. Come learn the basics of mushroom hunting in this field class and hike. I'll introduce important ID concepts, and teach you a dozen beginner-friendly species of the Pacific Northwest, and their lookalikes. Of course we will cover how to be safe (and confident) in your identification. The field class portion will be about 1 to 1. 5 hours, and then we'll hike for another 2 hours. The whole experience will be outdoors. Some hunting off the trail will be done for those who want to. Bring water, raingear and grippy hiking shoes/boots, at a minimum. I'll provide you with a folding knife, field guides to share, and a bag for collecting mushrooms, if you don't have these items. I always carry the ten essentials of hiking, like a first aid kit, flashlights, etc. I look forward to a great day exploring, learning, and discovering amazing mushrooms together!

Aloha and Welcome as we gather around the information table at Sharkey's 100-year old farmhouse in the historic plantation village of Papaikou. Sample our freshly brewed 100% Hawaiian coffee or cacao tea, grown right here on the farm. From there we begin an easy walk through our orchards where you'll learn about Hawaiian coffee growth and production. Interwoven the coffee are rows of cacao trees. Depending on the time of year, you can usually see tiny flowers and large, multi-colored pods hanging from trunks and branches. Long, heavy vanilla vines grow up the cacao trees, nature's perfect trellis! We'll show you how each vanilla orchid is delicately hand-pollinated to produce long "hands" of vanilla beans. We'll then proceed to the "Slab" where the pods are 'cracked' before the fermentation process. Next we move into the greenhouse where flats of newly planted seedlings just beginning their journey grow alongside large screens filled with coffee and cacao beans slowly drying to perfection. On this experience you get to see first hand the daily lives, rituals and customs of the Hasidic community, guided by a member of the community. Being able to access places seemingly closed off and hidden to the outsider. An opportunity to be able to ask any and all questions about the Jewish faith, culture and philosophy. We kick off the experience inside a Hasidic home, and learning about what it takes to keep a Kosher home. Then its off to the streets of Crown Heights, starting with exploring the world famous “770” Synagogue, getting a glimpse into the hustle and bustle of daily prayer services. Next stop is a Jewish scribe, seeing up close the intricate details involved in producing the Torah Scrolls. Followed by a walk down the avenue, visiting the local shops, and seeing the traditions dating back to the early 1800’s. We meet at the Kauai Inn and I explain the instruments (drums) we're going to play. We start with simple beats and practice as long as everybody gets it. No worries if you never have been drumming before in your life. I also explain what the drums stand for in the community and how they were used in ancient Hawaii. After one hour of drumming, we start practicing the firedancing. The boys with the samoan fireknife and the girls with the mauri poiballs. We practice without fire for a while and who ever wants to light it on fire, is very welcome to try it (no worries I'll help you). You can take nice pictures and videos while performing with fire. Other things to note And again, if you are beginners, never drum or played with fire in your entire life, don't worry, in my class are all levels of drummer and firedancer from 5 years to 70 years old!

You will help us free fly our falcons on the cliffs of La Jolla at the Torrey Pines Gliderport, a National Historical Place and beloved landmark. In our Experience, offered through Total Raptor Experience San Diego, you'll learn how to call and release one of our trained birds using a falconry glove, and admire their aerial skills while they soar above the cliffs. You'll get an up-close and personal view of their mastery of flight as they perform simulated hunting behaviors, swooping, ground-skimming and diving at high speed after a moving target. At the same time we will discuss raptor flight styles and how they contribute to the diverse ecologies of different types of hawks and falcons. No experience is required. Great for all skill levels. Your guide will kick things off with a paddle tutorial on the beach. If surf exists, we will help push your kayak through any breakers. As we paddle through La Jolla’s Marine Reserve keep an eye out for Seals, Sea Lions, Sea Turtles, Pelicans, Dolphin and Gray whales in the fall/winter. Note: We cannot guarantee sea life. Guests will receive a hands on class in candle-making. My candle-making class is unique because I create candles that look and smell like edible foods! Guests will be shown different varieties of candles that I make and be offered light snacks and drinks. Then guests will be able to choose which designs they'd like to attempt creating themselves or simply create their very own design from scratch! I will guide them from start to finish on each aspect of creating the candle. Guests will be able to take home their creation and will have completed the class with candle making knowledge and experience. Snorkeling in a whole new way that makes it easier and more fun. Come jet scooter snorkel through the crystal clear waters of Hawaii on this adventure snorkeling tour. Anyone can do this tour as it is for beginners also. I will take you to one of the best snorkeling sites on Oahu to see sea turtles, tons of fish, sea life and dolphins. We will be using our jet propelled underwater scooter devices to create a fun and unique snorkeling experience, unlike any other! This tour will begin with a complimentary pickup from Waikiki at 2412 Koa ave, and a scenic drive to our snorkeling site approx. 30 mins. If you are staying outside of Waikiki, please look at Kahe Point Beach Park on maps, it may be closer for you to meet us there. Please let me know if you choose to do that. Once we arrive, we will go through a safety briefing and jet snorkeling orientation to get you started on this fun filled tour. We accept all skill levels including first timers! Once in the water, we will practice using the Jet devices and begin our snorkeling tour. We can guarantee you will see sea turtles, beautiful corals and lots of beautiful fish. We see dolphins on almost every trip but every once in a while we don't see them so we can not guarantee you will see a dolphin but there is a high probability. And I have even extended trips for many people to make sure you get to see them.
