Indulge in the rich, complex world of specialty coffee with our expert-led workshop. From the seed to the cup, we'll take you on a journey through the nuances of flavor, aroma, and taste. You'll learn how to taste, describe, and analyze a cup of coffee like a pro, as we guide you through 8 tastings on 4 flights, using manual pour-over methods.
First, we will start by tasting 2 different origins and introduce the coffee farming practices.
Secondly, we will taste the same coffee processed in 2 different methods all while pairing it with fruits to enhance the notes.
The second part of the workshop will be focused on coffee brewing and the sensory experience.
Then, I will introduce 2 different home brewing techniques using the same coffee to show how we can modulate the different attributes of a coffee. We will also learn about ratios, grind size, water chemistry, and techniques.
The final flight will feature a rare micro-lot consumed in two different glasses to showcase the importance of the overall coffee experience.
