This is a charming, beautiful beautiful building with soul and history, a romantic and unique-to-New-Orleans 'Streetcar Named Desire' style, and is lovingly restored and immaculately cared for. All of the furniture and apartment accoutrements are high quality and tasteful, a swoon-worthy mix of vintage and modern. Neil went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for our short stay. The immediate area is slightly industrial, and there was loud machinery noise early on a Saturday morning (bring ear plugs if you plan on sleeping in) but it's just a short and peaceful walk to Magazine Street and the Garden District (highlights were the gumbo at Gris-Gris & Century Girl vintage.) Note that if you are sharing this small space that the bathroom wall design does not fully enclose the area, making the upstairs suite best suited to solo travelers or well-established couples. Quirky, magical and authentic, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here on again future visits to the city.

Love her place was nice and quiet

We stayed here for 1.5 wks around d holidays with our 2 toddlers. We loved the walkable neighborhood, close to trolley and the park. The place itself is beautiful and includes extra amenities. Hosts are very responsive and kind. Highly recommend!

Vilna was a kind, friendly, and helpful host. My friend and I felt very comfortable and her place and she was very helpful getting us things we needed like more water for the apartment. The area around her home felt safe and accessible and we happily made the 20-25 minute walk to Jazzfest every morning! If you are used to staying in affluent neighborhoods with manicured lawns, streetlights and perfectly aligned sidewalks -- this neighborhood and area may not be up your alley. But if you want to have the most authentic conversations with people on their porches, see the real New Orleans, and get a taste of the seventh ward leaving with the embrace of the NOLA people, don't miss a stay with VILNA!

I had an exceptional stay at this lovely home in New Orleans! The house was spotless upon arrival, reflecting the high standards of cleanliness maintained by the host. The host was incredibly responsive, addressing any questions or needs promptly, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The neighborhood felt very safe, allowing me to relax and enjoy my time without any concerns. Additionally, the location was perfect—many amenities were within walking distance, including fantastic restaurants, cafes, and shops. My husband and I will never stay anywhere else in Bay St. Louis. We’ve stayed other places and Joy’s house and its location is by far the best! The Compass Rose is lovely and the pictures do not do her place justice. It is historic and has such a lovely charm and energy to it. Joy provided us with everything we needed for our last minute stay. We wanted for nothing. The bed is so comfortable, everything is very clean, the towels are plush and Joy is such a great host! We loved chatting with her and learning more about the area, her historic home that survived hurricane Katrina and connecting. We felt very fortunate to stay at your place Joy! Thank you!

Très bon accueil de Jasmine et Kate, et de leurs animaux (2 chiens et 2 chats). Mon mari et moi avons adoré séjourner dans la petite maison indépendante au fond du jardin, très bien décorée et très bien équipée. Nous nous sommes vite sentis comme chez nous. Facile de se garer dans l'allée et de visiter les environs car la maison est proche des principaux axes pour sortir de la ville et suffisamment proche du French Quarter et du quartier Treme. Nous recommandons vivement cette adresse !!

What a fantastic host Vincent and his family were. They looked after us with great advice for restaurants, things to do and couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome and at home. They were incredibly friendly. The guesthouse had everything you could need - a great coffee machine, fridge freezer and washing machine and dryer (very useful half way round a road trip). However, it was the little additions that made this a fantastic stay. Cool bag and ice blocks; toaster; three bikes, rocking chair; pint of milk in the fridge on arrival etc. Vincent had thought of everything. The neighbourhood was very safe and interesting and within two minutes you could be at the lake with spectacular views across to the causeway. We watched an amazing sunset one night and had an outstanding pizza recommended by Vincent within a five minute walk of the guesthouse. The oldest jazz club in the world, where Louis Armstrong once played, was short walk away. Thanks for a great stay.

Everything was absolutely perfect!

Christopher's "Owl's Nest" has become our go-to Airbnb in the area. We are avid cyclists who also love time in New Orleans, and this place is perfect for both. It's a block from the gorgeous Tammany Trace (and right in the center of it, so you can bike from there to either end), which we biked daily - and an easy 40-min drive into the French Quarter. The place itself is perfect - nice space and layout, heavenly bed, plenty of room, drawers to put clothes away (not all places provide that!), compact but complete kitchen with full stove, fridge... and it's located in a lovely, peaceful neighborhood. I also appreciate having the owner near enough to have a nice chat now and then, yet having plenty of privacy. In short, we highly recommend the Owl's Nest!

Ewan was a great host. Friendly and accommodating. The space was tucked away, quiet and private. Walkable to the corner bar, park, restaurants, market, and track. I even walked back from voodoo spiritual temple (30 min.) with no issues. Thank you Ewan!

The Kayak Shack was just what we needed for a spontaneous night away! Great location, private and peaceful. Kate was extremely helpful and had great recommendations. Would definitely stay here again and again!

Meghan’s place was perfect for a couple’s getaway. Lots to do all around and coming back to a peaceful and cozy home was the best thing.

Very nice place to stay in New Orleans if you're looking for someplace quiet that will welcome your small dog. There is a small, fully fenced yard with a patio (table and 4 chairs). There are fairy lights strung overhead which makes it a very nice place to sit in the evening! This is the ground floor apartment (the owner lives in the second floor apartment). The rooms are large (except the kitchen, which is very small, and only has a few pots/pans, also very small). Very nice bathroom with a walk-in shower and a stacking washer/dryer. The whole place was squeaky clean, and a nice coffee bar is set up, with a keurig and several flavored coffee pods to choose from (the pecan was the best!). There are two bedrooms, both with queen-sized beds. Note for accessibility: there is a step down to get into the apartment, and some of the rooms are slightly different heights, leaving a small step down or up. There is off-street parking, that looks to fit at least 2 cars (possibly 3).

The place was so convenient for a day business trip. Really enjoyed the short stay there and definitely will stay here again for future visits. Everything is near by. Andrea thanks again you have a great place here.

Our second time in New Orleans in as many years and we knew we wanted to stay in Marigny. The location of Craig's apartment was fantastic--quiet yet close to so many great bars, restaurants and other amenities. Many have commented on the comfortable bed---here to confirm that! Overall, it was the perfect place to stay while in town for a friend's wedding. Would definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed staying at Jason’s place for Jazzfest. It was clean and quiet. Jason was very responsive and gracious. We loved the location, and we were able to walk to Jazzfest, City Park, a coffee shop, a grocery store, the bus and trolley stops, bars, and restaurants.

We felt right at home in Andrea’s cute and comfortable space. There are so many sweet touches. Her beds are very comfortable and she was super helpful during our stay. We hope to return in the future.

Loved this Airbnb! It’s in a great location, right off Magazine St. and very walkable to restaurants and shops. Michelle and Ashley were the best hosts. They were so kind and thoughtful. They had everything stocked such as laundry detergent, dish soap, phone chargers, everything we needed was already there! It was the perfect place to stay and we are already looking to come back.

Perfect place to stay while in New Orleans. Home was very comfortable and clean, and surrounding area neighborhood seemed safe to walk around. I really enjoyed the outside sitting area when weather is nice. I would definitely stay again. Don't pass this one up!!

After staying in Courtney's garage apartment, I feel like a native! My daughter attends Loyola and this was the first time in 2 years I spent 5 days in Nola. I would stay there again when visiting. Courtney was great with responding to any questions or concerns I had.
