We had a great time and this place was perfw t for our needs. Look forward to staying again. I would, however, place orange cones or some other safety device over the horseshoe stakes as they could be dangerous with children or pets running around or even being out in the evening.

A verifiable tree house. Open and airy with panoramic views of the forest - a very cozy retreat for a couple. House backs up to Brushy Ridge with glimpses of Gingercake and Parks Mountains peaking through. So many trails to hike close by. Driveway was small challenge with FWD - you have to maintain momentum and go straight up with no hesitation to get to the flat parking area - 4WD or AWD should have no problems. Andrew was a very responsive Host. We love the area and hope to come back again soon.

I cant stress enough how amazing this cabin is for families. It was our second time and we always enjoy the outside time, the waterfalls, the views and just the quiet! Its amazing. Super responsive host and kitchen is stocked with a lot of what you already need! We brought our three littles and just brought a little babygate for the stairs. They take such good care if your fur babies as well. Looooots of carpenter bees and wasps but you can expect that because its the woods. The wasps dont bother you but the bees sometimes choose violence 😂Book this place now!! You will jot regret the entire experience…oh and the jacuzziiiiii….chefs kiss

It had a very privite setting and the fence-in yard was great for the dogs. It had plenty of space for the entire family. The host was fantastic.

It was a very nice peaceful place to stay. The hot tub was relaxing and the bed in the loft was like sleeping on a cloud! Excellent place

What a wonderful place!! It's easy to tell the hard work & attention to detail that went into making this place so special. If you're looking for some R&R in a gorgeous, cozy, peaceful setting, this is the place. We immediately felt right at home. From hanging out on the porch, listening to the breeze and nature, to enjoying the soaking tub and time spent around the campfire, we couldn't have asked for a better spot to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Shealy was wonderful, provided great information ahead of time and easy to communicate with as a few misc. things came up during our stay. Would love to return in the future!

Amazing stay only hiccup was the original gate code provided did not work. Beautiful neighborhood with walking trails and so much peace and quiet. Would definitely come back.

Great stay full of charm!!! It's obvious Bill poors a lot into his Airbnb, from the tour he gave us up on arriving (he went over every detail, so no struggling), to the movie room, collection of games & movies as well as decord, to the thoughtful stack of towels 🙌 Finally someone who doesn't just give you one. It's in the mountains, so expect some pollen & bugs outside. We got to watch a mama bear with her babies from our porch! That was amazing! You get to observe them from a safe distance. Even my cat loved watching the family out & about. She loved the home & watching the other cats on the lot (again, safe distance from the porch). The road up is very steep at times & unpaved, but you're fine as long as you're careful. Kinda unavoidable when you're that high up, worth it for the view! Bill just got a massage mat for the computer chair, so great for getting work done! Kitchen is nicely stocked. Plenty of pillows & blankets, Bill tried to think of everything!!! You'll be back!

We had a wonderful stay and are hoping to come back soon! The location is perfect — walkable to downtown, but feels private. The view from the back porch is absolutely phenomenal! Highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Trails End cabin. Was in town for the lake james 5k, and the home was walkable to the Fonta Flora brewery via the trails that leads to the Overmountain Victory trail in the backyard.... huge bonus and why I picked this home! Very private and my dogs loved wandering in the yard where we could feel that we're safe. Will definitely be back again!

Loved the house, especially the side porch great place to go sit and have coffee. The sound of the creek made me want to stay outside the whole entire time. Can’t wait to go back!

The place was really nice and well equipped. Me and my family really enjoyed it and would definitely go back again.

Clean, peaceful, dog friendly, lovely cabin with a fenced yard. Everything you need with all the comforts of home and xtra touches for your furry friends. Close to town and walking trails so we could spend the day shopping, enjoying local restaurants, exploring, hiking/walking trails and the evenings back at the cabin enjoying the deck out front and later the fire pit outside. Looking forward to our next visit! I think our dogs enjoyed Black Mountain and the cabin as much as we did!

The property is up the mountain and remote, so this provides a private and peaceful experience. The scenery from the deck was stunning. Highly recommend putting down your tech to soak in all the beautiful that surrounds the property. The drive up and down the mountain is steep, but didn’t mind the journey. I would highly recommend staying at this property. If you’re looking for easy and quick access to stuff - this might not be the place. If you don’t mind a little drive, want to relax from the busy day to day and to enjoy the mountain air - this is definitely your place!

This is our second stay at Indigo Retreat and we plan to return again next summer. It has the most beautiful surroundings and the rushing waters from the creek are very tranquil. We highly recommend to everyone else.

This is the cutest little cabin to unplug at! When two small issues arose, Kathryn was quick to try and help. I would stay here again in the spring—hot water line froze overnight which was absolutely not her fault, and she attempted to fix it with everything in her power. It’s also a smidge loud next to the major highway but only if you’re sleeping in the living room on the futon! It was so adorable and made me want to redecorate my own house. The queen bed was super comfy according to my mom and daughter as well.

Tamara’s place was cute and comfortable. Everything we needed for a quick stay in Western NC Mountains. The cabin was spotless and Tamara was very responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This Air BnB was my favorite in North Carolina. Spruce Pine is still recovering from Helene - a devastating storm on such a beautiful place. This home was amazing with lots of space and tiny little details that made it perfect. I especially appreciated the coffee station!! We hope to return!!

We had an amazing stay! Everything was exactly as described. There was a FULLY stocked kitchen and many thoughtful details. The house was close to shopping and hiking. You will not be disappointed!

We absolutely loved our stay in the cabin!! The home was spotless, cozy and exactly as described. One of our favorite parts was falling asleep to the peaceful sound of the creek. The fresh ground coffee was perfect to get the day started. Everything was great and we enjoyed our stay! We highly recommend this place to anyone looking a quiet, restful getaway! We will be back!
