Cliffside Airstream

A steep windy gravel road takes you up to high clearing on a private rocky property. Located just minutes from downtown Marshall, an eclectic artsy town right on the French Broad river. 30 min scenic drive to Asheville.

The Nest, a mountainside retreat

The Nest is tucked into a grove of hemlocks, high above the creek and valley below. All types of vehicles have made the trek up the driveway, but we recommend 4-wheel drive. The seclusion of The Nest is unmatched and this tiny modern marvel comes with all you ask for, and so much more. Less than 25 min to downtown Asheville and minutes from the quaint mountain towns of Marshall and Mars Hill. Enjoy activities like hiking, skiing, and zip lines. Orchard House at Raven Ridge

There was no damage to our property from Hurricane Helene, we are open. Unique 450 sq ft studio space with attached greenhouse and detached outhouse (compost toilet). People love the cozy feel of custom woodwork and natural light that gives Orchard the intimate appeal of a home, that is also a personal retreat. Folks have described the place as ‘perfect’ and ‘dreamy’. Orchard is 22 minutes drive to Asheville and close to nature. Very cozy for one or two, even a small family on a trip

Snowbird treehouse

A 10ftx10ft treehouse built around a hickory tree with a wood deck. It looks over a creek 30 feet below. There are electric switches/outlets and fan/oil heater. Climb a ladder to the sleeping loft with a standard full size bed. The loft has a peak high enough to stand up under. Cook outside on gas grill. No running water but there's a drinking water dispenser. The bathroom is a composting toilet and outdoor shower with solar tank at the end of a 25ft path, adjacent to the treehouse.

Zarephath: You Will Not Want To Leave This Cabin

Enjoy serene country living while having the convenience of amenities at Mars Hill, Marshall, Hot Springs and Weaverville. The cabin is 3.9 miles from I-26 and 22 miles from downtown Asheville. Relax on the screened in porch while soaking in the hot tub. View the turkey & deer roaming the area. Watch TV while sitting by the gas logs. Enjoy excellent dinning, hiking, rafting, biking, snow skiing, and site seeing In the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina.

The Bird House

I created a passive solar tiny house, with tons of south facing windows & beautiful mountain views. It's located just 4 miles from downtown Marshall & it is about 20-25 mins. from both Asheville & Hot Springs. There are plenty of outdoor activities nearby which include horseback riding, rafting/paddling on the French Broad River, zip-lining, hiking (we have more details in the host guidebook). Come enjoy a nice peaceful stay in this modern tiny home surrounded by greenery.
