Very beautiful house

A wonderful experience. The house adjoins the To-ji temple which is a must to visit especially on the 21st of the month. We slept very well on the modern futons, the bed clothes smelled so good and the onsen was such a pleasant moment. The house is big and w modern equipment. The room at the back is quiet and really nice. We asked Maya some restaurant tips and trips we wanted to do and we always got a super fast answer. Very helpful.

Very warm and helpful household (luggage room option). Good location (quiet and few minutes to Kyoto Station). Rooms very clean, spacious and cosy; beds very comfortable. Everything as described. I highly recommend it!

We loved our stay in this peaceful traditional house and Mrs. Yoshino was such a kind and very accommodating host! She would write up a small saying to us in French before we would leave for our day, which was just so kind of her. Plus she did our laundry for us which was an amazing bonus, (and loved the smell of her laundry detergent!) Thank you so much for being such a wonderful host!!

고풍스러운 느낌이 잘 묻어나서 일본식 숙소에서 묵어보고 싶다 하면 추천함. 숙소에서 지내면서 필요한 모든게 준비되어 있어 부족한 점이 없었음. 다만 2층으로 올라가는 계단이 매우 가파르다는 점과 자다가 화장실 가고 싶으면 그 계단을 내려가야 한다는 단점이 있음. 미닫이 문이 굉장히 많은데 잘 닫고 다니지 않으면 굉장히 추우므로 주의하길. 역이나 유명 관광지로부터 그리 멀지 않은 위치이나 주택들이 모여있는 곳이기 때문에 골목길이 헷갈릴 수 있음.(구글맵 사용 추천) 그나마 큰 도로 바로 옆이라 택시타기엔 유리했음. 가격과 시설을 고려했을때 4인이 가장 적절해보임. 주인분도 매우 친절하시니 호텔이 지겨우면 매우 추천함.

we enjoyed staying at Yoko's place in Kyoto for 1 week , it's very local buses near by and easy to get around . We were doing lots of day trip so always on the go but enjoyed this peaceful place

Heerlijk huis, super schoon in fijne straat. Dichtbij zijn treinen, bussen etc. Ook veel lekkere restaurants en kleine eetgelegenheden, bijvoorbeeld bij de buren (2 huizen verderop) wordt je gastvrij ontvangen en heb je goed ontbijt met lekkere koffie. De slaapkamers boven bieden wel weinig privacy, want je moet altijd door elkaars kamer. Met een gezin en vrienden is dat ook best gezellig trouwens.

Wir haben für fast eine Woche in Nihos Unterkunft gewohnt. Trotz naher Straße, Bahn und Flughafen hört man im Inneren so gut wie nicht davon. Das Apartment ist wirklich genau wie auf den Fotos. Es fühlt sich an als würde man mitten unter den Einheimischen, und nicht in den touristischen Vierteln, wohnen. In 10 Minuten Fußweg befinden sich zwei Bahnhöfe und tolle Restaurants. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, es war ein authentisches Erlebnis.

This was a great place to stay and access different parts of Kyoto. Access to trains and buses was good. The person who did the check in was great. The space was well designed and decorated.

Great traditional Kyoto style house located a short distance away from Kyoto Station. Very clean and comfortable. Kitchen is only equipped for light cooking. There are low beams in the house so if you are a tall person you have to be very careful. The stairs to the upper level bedroom are steep with short steps so if you have mobility problems this will be an issue. Overall we loved our stay and would come back again

8 minute walk from the nearest metro station, less than 15 minutes metro to get downtown kyoto! Our host was helpful with metro tips and the home was beautiful!

This house is located in a fantastic location, only a 6 min walk from the nearest station. Shiho, the host, was very accommodating. She greeted us as we arrived and gave a house tour. She also asked how we were going and made sure everyone was okay, something that is rarely done for Airbnb hosts. Everything in the house was clean and organised, the beds and futons were comfortable, and overall we had a great time staying at this place.

Very nice place with clean and hot tub including place! Drinks, gifts, and quick communications are great to feel welcome at place.

A delightful, charming building within easy reach of trains, buses and restaurants. Located centrally to the top tourist destinations made it easy to travel in any direction and have an enjoyable day and was quiet enough to be away from the really busy tourist areas. We loved our stay and would definietly recommend to friends. Thank you!

Clean and very traditional. Good location, right next to a great Ramen place and close to Nijo Castle. Tall people might have to watch their head sometimes, but thats part of the fun!

庭院非常漂亮！虽然隔音不太好但是住在民宿的旅客都非常有素质，在晚上听不到杂音！如果没有尝试过住日本传统房屋，鲤屋是非常不错的地方

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt. Die Zimmer sind sehr hübsch und das Frühstück war fantastisch! Die Lage war für uns perfekt. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und verabschiedet. Die Unterkunft war für uns insgesamt sehr gut, ist allerdings (nachts) hellhörig, was beim Schlafen stören kann. Es werden aber Ohropax kostenlos bereitgestellt. Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft! Très bonne guest house ! Tout était très propre, l’ambiance était très paisible et traditionnelle, de bons petits cafés à proximité, et des bus qui peuvent nous emmener dans les stations principales ! Le seul petit bémol que je pourrais cité, est que la chambre « Twin Room » est au rez-de-chaussée, et les murs sont très fins. Donc on entend absolument tout ce qu’il se passe dehors et à l’intérieur. Pour le reste c’était parfait. La chambre était grande et spacieuse, les lits confortables ! Le petit déjeuner servi est super bon ! Le saumon et l’omelette était délicieux ! Je recommande ! Et le personnel est très gentil. Vous pouvez notamment louer des vélos directement avec eux, c’est top !

Eine wirklich tolle Unterkunft! Wir hatten das Deluxe Zimmer mit Balkon und Blick von oben auf den kleinen Garten. Leckeres Frühstück, sehr nette Gastgeber und ein wunderschönes altehrwürdiges haus. Man kann sogar Fahrräder ausleihen und die Gegend erkunden. Das Haus ist ruhig gelegen aber mit dem Bus ist man schnell überall. Klare Empfehlung!

Our stay at Yamashita’s beautiful 100-year-old Japanese villa in Kyoto was the perfect way to end our 2 week vacation in Japan. The house is spacious, very clean, and well-equipped, perfect for our group of 12. It has everything you need and more. It has a serene garden, jacuzzi, and sauna—the kids especially loved the jacuzzi! Yamashita is an EXCEPTIONAL host—very warm, helpful, and accommodating. She drove us to supermarkets and places we wanted to go and even picked us up for a small fee. She prepared simple yet delicious breakfasts. She was quick to respond to messages and even guided us on using local buses. Though the house is a bit far from the touristy areas, the peace and quiet of Yamashita’s home made it the perfect retreat. It offered a more authentic and relaxing experience of Japan. I highly recommend Yamashita’s villa to anyone looking for comfort, culture, and outstanding hospitality. And to anyone looking for a truly memorable stay in a traditional Japanese home.

Chieri en haar moeder en hun schattige hond zijn hele lieve hosts die er alles aan doen om je verblijf een echte authentieke Japanse ervaring te laten zijn. Hun huis is prachtig ingericht, ruim en voelt heel fijn en gastvrij. Het café en de biertuin van Chieri zijn ook zeker de moeite waard om te bezoeken. Het eten en drinken en het gratis Japanse ontbijt waren heerlijk. En als je nog authentieke Japanse souvenirs zoekt zijn die hier ook te vinden. Al met al een perfecte plek om even tot rust te komen na het bezoeken van de drukke steden als Kyoto en Osaka.
