Beautifully rustic, quiet and charming! We booked Penny’s place because we were looking for a rustic stay. The weather in September was ideal for this indoor/outdoor space. Fully stocked kitchen, and loads of space for dining and relaxing. We lucked out and didn’t have anyone else staying on property while we were, and I will say it’s a bit of a fishbowl, so if you’re looking for privacy, it’s not here. We had a superb time!

Dee was super responsive and very proactive with messaging. the house was very nice and we were able to walk to local restaurants.

My family stayed for a few weeks and felt right at home. Mary and Frank were very helpful, responsive, and welcoming. It was lovely being so close to Camden, and just down the road from the Mount Battie Carriage Trail.

I absolutely loved this place! Very easy to find, great location on the lake and very peaceful! Leon has boats, kayaks and canoes to rent, firewood to purchase on site and was so helpful with everything. The home has everything I needed for my week stay, and was grateful to be able to bring my dog. I will definitely be returning to this little piece of heaven!!

Jon was very proactive and kind! Gave us lots of good recommendations and told us the story of his cabin. The cabin was very clean and cozy, we had great mornings having coffee outside. Highly recommend!

Second time booking this charming cottage. Nothing beats the dock access and it is pretty well located with lots to do and eat within 30 mins in any direction. The surroundings are so peaceful and beautiful--we can't wait to return.

The place was extremely clean and very roomy. Plenty of places to hang, and it also afforded privacy for multiple couples. Rebecca was so friendly and very responsive to all of my questions. Would definitely stay here again!

This Airbnb was amazing in every way! We especially enjoyed the views of the mountains, the decor, how clean it was, the trees decorated with lights outside, and all the personal touches. It was inviting, comfortable, and had everything we could think of including sleds! (There was a privacy screen to put between the beds which was an added bonus). The Moody Mt. Cottage was the perfect location for a cozy winter getaway to hike and relax. We highly recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed. Cait was a fantastic host and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was special. We are so grateful!

This spot is perfect if you want to stay anywhere from one day to one week. It's clean, it's quiet, the kitchen is small but usable, has a washer and dryer, the bed is super comfy, the house is quiet, there's not a lot to do around, but you're in Maine, so it's a rural. I just stayed here while I was looking for a place to stay permanently. It's no frills, it feels like a little apartment, so go ahead and book it.

Extremely well-equipped (down to the Weber grill grates with the fold-up sides). Quiet, easy access to I-295, 15 minutes from Portland. Do note that plates and glasses are kept in rather tall cabinets, but I would very gladly stay here again.

This space is absolutely beautiful! The entire apartment was very clean and tidy with a nice spacious deck and kitchen. Dan was a great host checking in during our trip to ensure we had everything we needed. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway in Maine, this is an incredible option!

A million dollar view from the bed /living room! This was the perfect, quiet escape for a couple like us with demanding jobs. We watched the lobster boats with the provided binoculars, enjoyed a cozy fire with second-to-none sunsets and star gazing every night ! This place does have a lot of stairs to get down to the boathouse but SO worth it ! It is a bit of a trek on hilly dirt roads from town but the closest grocery stores and downtown Bath are within a 20 minute drive. Lexie was super responsive and accommodating and she gave us great recommendations for our vacation..Fred is super cool, has his own tree business and works on boats and wood working in his spare time. super nice couple !

What a lovely stay at Claire's Harasseeket Loft! It was quiet, warm and comfortable. I only stayed two nights but packed a lot in within those days as everything is a short distance away. Loved the shopping, eating, and meandering throughout Wolfe's Neck Wood State Park. Definitely do not miss that. But Claire's loft is in a beautiful location and well worth the stay. I would love to come back!

Clicking my heels trying to go back. I had a wonderful, relaxing getaway at The Appleton Retreat. Braeburn was cozy, clean, and had beautiful outdoor surroundings, including quick access to the pond trail. Super comfy bed and nap daybed. The hot tub was private and lovely and Peter set up a wonderful evening sauna session for me. Hosts were responsive while respecting my alone time, and the homemade pumpkin muffins were icing on the cake.

This is a little slice of paradise. I came here to do nothing, essentially--read & swim for a few days in beautiful, quiet surroundings. Diane was immediately welcoming with a warm greeting and quick tour. You have privacy here, but if you need anything, she is right next door. I couldn't recommend staying here more highly! My favorite Airbnb stay so far. My family and I travel frequently. I am originally from Maine and we came back for spring break. Linar’s home was exceptional. Everything you needed was available, from cooking to bathroom necessities. It snowed for a day on our stay making for incredible views of the mountains and pine trees. The apartment feels just like a cabin experience, and you can see and feel the love that went into it. I can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay! The couch bed was comfortable and easy to maneuver. The bed was even better!! Will be a family destination from now on!

At the Sparrow's nest, we nestled in immediately. This was by far the most beautiful and magical stay -EVER. The pictures are amazing but the space is even better in person. Every inch of this gorgeous place was gracefully designed and decorated. The beds were like sleeping upon a cloud in luxury sheets. The hosts were so friendly and fun to talk to. We found many things in common. They provided us with names of great local restaurants and things to see and do. I am already planning to go back again next year and probably the year after that!

If this property is available for your dates, grab it. Everything was perfect, and exactly as advertised. Starting with Julia, she was pro active and great with communication. Directions to find property and get it were easy to follow. The house itself was immaculate and just the right size for the 3 of us. All the beds were very comfortable, and the location is perfect for exploring Freeport. Definitely recommend and would stay again if we're ever back to this area.
