Modern Mellow is a peaceful apartment accentuated by vibrant colors and natural textures throughout. Cook atop the quartz countertops in the kitchen and head out to the scenic backyard patio for quiet conversations with lush trees all around. We worked very hard to make this a unique, peaceful place to stay! The studio is surrounded by lots of large trees and a privacy fence to make you feel at home. The kitchen has quartz countertops and new appliances that are ready for a chef. Careful the knives are sharp:-) The back patio is a great place to chill and watch all the colorful birds of the area. Also, you will sleep like a baby in the plush king bed! Modern Mellow is located on the ground floor (bottom left) of our house. It has it's own private entrance as well as it's own private outdoor space thats completely fenced in. We live a very active lifestyle and are constantly on the go, however we are only a phone call away to answer any questions you might have about the studio or the area, to make your stay as enjoyable as possible! The home is in a great location away from the main bustle of the town but still close to many options. Have a picnic in the beautiful James Island County Park and dine out at some of the incredible local restaurants nearby. A 15-minute drive will get you to both Downtown Charleston and Funky Folly Beach. Uber is the most common way of getting around, with the average price of about $10 to get downtown. We are also conveniently located less than a block from the Carta bus stop.

The Backpacker

Our "Backpacker" is a cute and cozy 96 sq.ft. of tiny house nirvana. Situated on a small tidal slough, it provides a beautiful natural setting for reflection and appreciation of that which is good in life. For those looking for luxury, the Backpacker is not for you (you may encounter bugs and it's really hot in summer). However, the Backpacker has a pretty cool vibe, and is extremely convenient to historic Charleston and Funky Folly Beach. The Backpacker is for backpackers and nature lovers.

Welcome to my low country home on James Island, located on a tidal creek within a quiet family neighborhood. The large backyard is on a beautiful marsh with water access allowing for amazing views. It’s 7min from downtown and 10min from Folly Beach. Perfect central location on James Island to everything Charleston has to offer.
