The Cow CampThis Little House has a Rustic Western Décor, with modern kitchen, it has an awesome rock fireplace, lots of slate stone, oak floors. Wasta is "very" small". It is 18 miles to the Badlands and 40 miles to the Black Hills. If traveling from the east I recommend buying groceries in Wall, S.D. or from the West, Rapid City, S.D. There i s "The Wasta Bar " opening June 29th, a gas station with vending machines. I hope you'll enjoy your stay, Thank You, Billie
The Rock and Block houseThis is a Great Little House with Rustic yet Modern Charm, Beautiful View of the Cheyenne River Breaks. Wasta is a "very" small town, a gas station with vending machines, a fabulous military museum, a bar that is open Thurs. Fri. and Sat. serving burgers and steaks, family friendly. If your traveling from the east you can get groceries in Wall, if you want to take in the Badlands on yor way, you might drop down through Interior, S.D. and drive through the Badlands then come out just south of Wall,S.D. fyi ...mornings and evenings are best for viewing. I'm very flexible for late check-in. Cedar Pass has a good restaurant, alsoThe park has a great astronomy telescope for stargazers, it gets a little late but worth it especially on a clear night. One of my favorites! When you get to the Rock and Block house it's all yours! Firepit (conditions permiting) grill, games, books etc. A train goes through once or twice a day, sometimes not at all, my apologies for any early or late horn blowing as there is a crossing across the road. We are about 20 miles from the Badlands, 40 miles from Rapid City, and Beautiful Black Hills, 70 miles to Sturgis for the yearly Motorcycle Rally, it's always the first full week in August, one of the largest rally's in the country! Fyi....some like to avoid, I like to give a heads up! All in all....Wasta is a pretty quiet little town with a lot of it's own western beauty, watchout😊it has a way of capturing some of our hearts! Also I will have a one bedroom house plus a sofa sleeper, on the same property that will be ready in the very near future, both houses could be booked together for a larger group, if you choose to stay, I sincerely hope your stay is a pleasant one. Home with a view close to BadlandsThis clean rural home is stocked with many amenities which makes it perfect for nightly, weekend or hunting stays. This home has sleeping accommodations for 10 or more. Fully stocked kitchen, new mattresses and furniture. Outside deck and fire pit when season allows. Has washer/dryer, refrigerator with ice maker, oven and microwave. Kcup machine with k cups and coffee cups and half and half and sweeteners. Beautiful sunrise/sunset with abundant wildlife to be seen.
