The Cabin at Painted Canyon Homestead This serene cabin is situated at the mouth of a canyon overlooking Morongo Valley, where the high desert meets the San Gorgonio & San Jacinto Mountains. As the guest house on our property of 5 acres, the cabin is privately located bordering vast public lands. Wander the property, hike the canyon trail, or take in the changing light from the wood-fired hot tub (or use it with fresh cold water!). Perfectly suited for two with plenty of extra space to explore.

Accommodates one-two persons and best use is if you're looking for a quiet place to sleep; Queen-size bed comfortably fits two. Nested on the Southern hillside overlooking the valley, you’ll rise to a colored sky while you drink your morning coffee in the pergola with a mountain view and take a stroll on one of the nearby trails in peace and quiet. Then take a less than 5 minute drive to one of the MANY neighborly boutiques and cafés in the old town of Yucca Valley. Mosey back to the house to catch the sherbet sunset as you make that desert fire in our fire-pit. There’s your perfect day in the contemporary cowboy Casita.

There is a mini fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee station, rolling food cooler, BBQ, outside gas fire pit, awesome hammock and porch swing for star gazing with no light pollution.

The Casita has a private entrance looking out over the extra large salt water swimming pool with mountain views. Air conditioned unit with full bath, queen bed, small fridge, microwave and Keurig. We provide a wide variety of pool toys to help you relax by the pool in this private retreat. Grab your book, lay on a chaise lounge chair and enjoy the peaceful patio. Please note the pool is not heated.
