Kapaa Sands #1 - Oceanfront

Enjoy your Kauai beach getaway in Kapaa Sands 1 located right on the ocean. This property has been in our family for 50 years and it is our home away from home. It offers a quiet garden and pool and is within walking distance of dining, shopping, and activities. Many guests return year after year to the unique property. It was built on the site of a former Shinto Shrine and consists of 24 units with the majority being studios. This unit is a 2 bedroom with 1.5 bathrooms.

Welcome to our spacious, family-friendly home in a prime location. The house offers 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths + separate room off the master bedroom with a queen sleeper sofa for kids. The house can sleep up to 8 adults and 2 kids + infants in cribs. We offer bikes, beach gear, towels, and toys. Walk to Brennekes Beach in 5 minutes, Poipu beach in 6, and Ship Wrecks in 10 minutes. You'll have free access to a pool and hot tub. Access to tennis courts (for a small fee).

This oceanfront cottage was built in 1930 and has been completely remodeled but we have maintained its original Hawaiiana charm and character. Is is open, airy and spacious. Note that our cottage is located in a tsunami evacuation zone. After booking an evacuation map will be sent to you. There is also one located in the cottage.
