Carr Cottage is a characterful 19th century mill workers' dwelling situated in the heart of the Pennines in the beautiful Luddenden Valley with a multitude of walks and footpaths. Close to Halifax and its historic Piece Hall or Hebden Bridge with its vibrant arts and crafts scene. We are dog friendly with excellent walks for dogs and their people. Dogs must not be left unattended on the during your stay. Carr Cottage is cycle friendly with classic road or off road routes right rom the doorstep.

Situated in Todmorden, West Yorkshire our beautifully restored cottage built in approximately 1665 and overlooking the vibrant market town of Todmorden and only 5km away from the artisan and beautiful town of Hebden Bridge. It provides an ideal base to explore this beautiful part of Yorkshire including; Howarth, the home of the Brontes, Halifax, including the Piece Hall and Shibden Hall, the home of Anne Lister and the Pennine Way.

After your day exploring, come home and relax in the Mediterranean Garden or enjoy a short stroll to the local pub, offering locally sourced food and beer!

The rural valley of Lothersdale is five miles from Skipton and on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We offer bike use, numerous country walks and the excellent water comes from an aquifer (no chemical treatment). The popular tourist towns of Skipton and Haworth are nearby. * The Workshop is in the same building as my other property, Shed End.

A few mins walk in the opposite direction takes you to the majestic moors immortalised by Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights

Excellent transport links, whether you want to ride a bus to Hebden bridge or take a steam train to Keighley (links to Bradford and Leeds). This village has it all including access to some of the most stunning countryside and a range of walks for all abilities including Railway Children trail and Bronte Falls.
