The retreat is a lovely tranquil spot in the Ottawa Valley. It is spacious and comfortable, with lots of big windows looking out on the surrounding countryside. The only close neighbours are the deer and the wild turkeys. Carol is a friendly and charming host and she responds right away to any requests. Highly recommended! I plan to return, any time that urban life gets to be too much!

We had a lovely stay! we enjoying hanging out on the dock and saying hi to all the animals. the kitchen had everything we needed as well.

There are nice people, and then there are Susan and Ray—truly exceptional hosts. We stayed from February 15th to 17th, during a snowstorm. Due to the severe weather and poor road conditions, we had to stay indoors for most of our trip. Susan went out of her way to help us in various ways, making our experience even better, and we truly appreciated it. The place itself is perfect for privacy, surrounded by beautiful nature with great hiking trails. The barn, with its horses, adds a magical touch to the experience. Thank you, Susan and Ray, for your kindness and hospitality!

My partner and I stayed in the Bunkie for a relaxing weekend and it was everything we were hoping for and more! Alison is a great host and her husband and children are so lovely! The property is absolutely gorgeous and it was fascinating to learn about the history and about how the house is off the grid! Alison and her boys took us to a great local spot to swim, and her boys showed us all the best places to jump off the rocks into the water (SO fun!!) The breakfasts were so yummy, featuring fresh eggs from their very friendly chickens. We highly recommend the pizza as well! Tamworth is close for a visit, and we headed up to Bon Echo before leaving for home. Would highly recommend a stay here and would definitely come back ourselves! Lisa’s cottage was exactly as advertised. She made sure to answer any inquiries and the property was wonderful for relaxing by the lake on the gazebo. Our fishing trip was fun and the access to the dock was very easy. The cottage was perfect for our stay and had everything needed for a nice stay on the lake. Lisa checked in with us a few times to ensure everything was fine and even provided a short history of the lake. Highly recommended cottage and we hope to return next year! Thanks again!

What a beautiful space! Such an easy spot to put our trailer ! The grass was pristine and so clean ! No dirt in our trailer at all . The hosts were so kind and friendly . We shared the space with their bunkie and we could barely tell they were there ! They have both spots positioned in a way where it still feels very private ! The boat was free to use and we had a nice sunset ride followed by a lovely campfire with a great view Of the lake !

We just stayed here this past weekend for our bachelor/ bachelorette cabin crew getaway (10 of us total). It was absolutely amazing, the house was clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub , pool table and fire pit were a hit for this group. Although we weren’t supplied with a bag of firewood it was still a very nice stay. An animal did unfortunately get into the dumpster before our arrival but nothing a lock can’t fix. We had an amazing stay and we will hopefully be back in the future! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. A lot of memories were made.

We booked Bellgrove for our annual Family Day weekend with kids from 15 months to 80 years and we loved everything about the house. Catherine is a wonderfully responsive host and we felt welcomed from the moment we arrived - fresh baked cookies left on the counter! The bedrooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. The kitchen a fabulous space for cooking big family dinners and watching the littles run around the island while some folks chatted by the fireplace. The furnishings of the house are absolutely lovely - so many conversations about the decor and how inspired we were to all go home and redecorate - if only we owned a big country mansion. We enjoyed sitting around the fire first thing in the morning and again at night after the wee ones went to bed. Absolutely no complaints and would highly recommend!

This place was fantastic for our big family group. Everything was extremely well stocked, beautiful and comfortable.

My friends and I planned a one-day vacation, and I can say that for such a plan, this cottage is a very good place. It offers picturesque views of the lake and trees, and a peaceful environment where you can only hear birdsong. Also, Andrey was very supportive.

We had such a wonderful stay at this cozy barn in Roblin! It’s a beautiful, peaceful spot , the perfect getaway to relax and unwind. I brought my partner here for her birthday, and she absolutely loved it! The barn has a charming and comfortable vibe, and it was the ideal location since it’s only about an hour away from the 1000 Islands Rockport Cruise. It made for a memorable and scenic get away. Highly recommend this spot for couples looking for a romantic escape!

Our stay at the Willis lake house was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, their hospitality was evident through the detailed guide they provided, filled with excellent recommendations for hikes, local farmers’ markets, and attractions in Gananoque and Kingston. The lake house itself is a masterpiece—modern, meticulously designed, and equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our time there. We loved spending our days on the dock, swimming, paddle boarding, and kayaking. The breathtaking scenery and the perfect blend of tranquility, nature, and stunning sunset views made our stay unforgettable. We can’t wait to return next year!

One of my favorite stays so far using Airbnb! We were four adults staying at this location to attend a concert at Base31. We arrived late at the location but check in was super easy, thanks to the clear instructions and self check in. Easy to find to location with private parking for our vehicles. Beautiful & super clean guesthouse. Loved the decor inside. You can tell the hosts put a lot of care into this location for their guests. It's private with a good size deck outside (as shown in the pictures) with plenty of seating to enjoy a morning coffee. You can hear horses not too far away as a back ground noise. I would return or recommend this location in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a getaway, with or without children.

One of the best places we've ever stayed on vacation! The house was beautiful and kept very clean. So much character and history. Peter and Darlene were gracious hosts, very welcoming and helpful with local recommendations. Would absolutely stay there again!

Jason's place exceeded our expectations. Staying in this rustic but chic barn was a very unique experience and we had 100% privacy in our space. The first thing we noticed was how clean the floors were. Jason's place was so clean we trusted our toddler in the group to use the floor freely! I would recommend this stay for those who have young children because Jason also has books, boardgames and videogames available. The rooms and beds were very comfortable, the only thing to note is that the two rooms on the highest level can get hot and stuffy on a hot day. We recommend those who sleep there to plan and dress accordingly. Curtis was also a great host when it came to wine tasting and campfire building. We hung around the campfire with our friends and family, had some drinks with Curtis and shared stories. It was so nice getting to know him and the 3 dogs who also live on the property. We have young children and Curtis made sure the kids felt comfortable around the dogs

We rented for 2.5 months And we enjoyed every minute of the place! Lovely surroundings, quiet, enjoyed great fires, Watched the skies and saw the northern lights, falling stars, beautiful spot! A very cozy place, lots of room inside and out. Had the kids out for a visit and walked the beautiful scenic road to Wheelers pancake house and enjoyed their museum as well Thank you for the opportunity to rent your lovely home and treating us so well 😊

We had a wonderful time in the house near the lake. It was very beautiful and peaceful place, perfect for relaxing. We are very happy with our choice and if we have same opportunity in future, we will definitely come back again. Terry, is very friendly and helpful. We are very thankful for all conditions he gave us – the house has everything you need and even more! It is very cozy, clean, and comfortable. You can feel like at home but even better, because of the amazing nature around. The fireplace inside the house created a truly cozy atmosphere, especially in the evening – it made our stay even more warm and pleasant. Thank you very much to Terry for making our Easter weekend so special. It was a perfect time alone with nature and in this wonderful atmosphere of the house.

From the minute I entered this place, it felt like home. Everything was thought of - from a fire going for us when we arrived to every single amenity one needs for a cozy stay. We kept communication going and Laura was great with that. We cooked a bunch (everything you could think of was provided and there was a great selection in the spice drawer), played so many board games (the collection is impressive), spent hours on the dock and beach (lots of books, magazines, outdoor recreational equipment) and just slowed down. It was private and quiet and the property is incredible - history beautifully restored by Laura and Dale.

This was our second stay at the IH Ranch Guesthouse. Britanny & Dale are caring & friendly hosts. The guesthouse has charm, comfort & everything a person needs for an enjoyable stay. The ranch is impeccably maintained & their horses are an added joy to watch. We highly recommend IH Ranch Guesthouse.
