The barn was beautifully situated and very peaceful. We loved the family dogs and cats coming to visit us. The barn is right on the Cuckoo trail and so we enjoyed walking along enjoying the spring sunshine . A really lovely pub in Old Heathfield called The Star Inn is definitely worth a visit, it's warm, cosy and very friendly. The food was delicious so well worth the short walk from the barn. A couple of nights in this beautiful setting was just perfect.

Staying at this charming countryside home was an absolute dream.Tucked away in a peaceful village,the house offers breathtaking views of open green fields trees stretching as far as the eye see. It’s beautiful clean,quiet and peaceful.we absolutely come back again.

Very comfortable stay. Last minute booking. Mostly clean. Very comfortable bed. Mostly modern/updated. Small space used very well, feels airy. Fridge needs updating, some areas needing deeper clean. Did not allow late check out but was relaxed & flexible whilst we were leaving. Better than expected, excellent value for money. Thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Piggery. It is an attractively decorated cottage and everything that you need for your stay is provided. The setting is peaceful and picturesque and there are lots of things to do nearby. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog and there are some lovely walks just outside the door.

Our family enjoyed a three night stay and there was so much to do and see. The accommodation was excellent with very high standards. Our host was very welcoming. We would definitely stay again. Thank you Hilary.

Another great stay at the stables, Vivienne and Bill are amazing hosts who go above and beyond for their guests to ensure your stay is just perfect. The stables are warm and comfy with all you need and more for a relaxing stay set in wonderful location so peaceful and beautiful countryside to explore. already looking forward to our next stay .

We had the most wonderful stay at Alice and Alan's cozy cowshed! The space was incredibly warm and inviting, providing a perfect retreat for both of us. Alice and Alan were exceptional hosts, always available to offer assistance and making sure we had everything we needed. They even allowed us to use their beautiful garden, which was such a lovely bonus. One of the highlights was when Alice and Alan kindly offered to drop us into town, saving us the hassle of getting a taxi. They also gave us great recommendations for cabs to get home later on. The stay was extremely nice, and we absolutely loved every moment. We would 100% go back and highly recommend this wonderful spot to anyone looking for a cozy, relaxing getaway!

The Jungle Retreat is in the most amazing location if you want to be in a small village with bags of walking opportunities surrounded by many pubs all fairly close by. The kitchen is really well laid out, and as long as you don't mind paying extra Alfriston has a really good village shop - otherwise bring your provisions with you. The Jungle theme is certainly carried through in the accommodation - Maybe not everybody's idea of design but we enjoyed it

We stayed for a couple of days at Lottie’s barn with my parents and 1y old. We really had an amazing time. The house is cosy and very well equipped. The quiet setting just next to the meadows ensures for a peaceful night’s sleep. The barn is ideally situated to explore the surroundings; lots of national trust properties to discover; Lewes and Brighton are within easy reach and also for the little ones there’s a lot that the area has to offer! Highly recommend Lottie’s place for a little countryside escape!

My 5 year old daughter and I spent a night here and it was absolutely blissful. She woke up and immediately wanted to see the lambs and spend time with a dog wandering around. We will be back as both she and I enjoyed it so much. Charlotte was so kind and even gave me some toothpaste I'd forgotten. Book if you can!

Sophie & Ed were absolutely amazing hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Their Barn is beautifully designed and set out, it is comfortable and had everything and more in it that I needed for a four night stay. The location was a 2 min drive from where I needed to be so it was perfect for travelling to and fro and lovely to come back to after a long day to rest in. Thank you.

What a find. A warm and very welcoming place to stay. It was very clean, had well-thought out facilities, good beds, a strong and large shower, a first class kitchen area and plenty of comfortable seating and views of the surrounding countryside. Ella was extremely easy to communicate with; quick to respond and flexible. we cannot fault the accommodation at all. Highly recommended.

Clean, very comfortable and warm. The wood burner was particularly nice to have in November. There was a nice welcome basket plus additional handy items like dishwasher tablets etc. Everything worked and the wi-fi was good. We plan to return.

A lovely stay, really quiet and feels super private. Check-in instructions were clear. Instructions were provided to help find the barn. Everything was spotless, and we were given lovely extras such as fresh eggs, milk, tea, coffee, sugar. Would definitely stay here again if returning to the area.

A really beautiful and such a peaceful setting. Nicole was so welcoming. The cottage was exceptional, but it was all those special extras that made it stand head and shoulders over other Airbnbs. We arrived to a wonderful hamper, with a homemade cake, there was bread, butter, biscuits, fruit juice, eggs from Nicole’s chickens. Lovely bunch of roses in a vase, gave our whole experience that bit of extra love Everywhere was spotless. The television was a good size, with plenty of channels. Also, there were plenty of plug sockets. For me personally, the horses and dogs were a huge bonus for me. We’ll be back 😉

Wij, een gezin van vier, hebben enorm genoten van de prachtige Cow Shed. Een fantastisch huisje met een geweldig uitzicht en een prachtige ligging. Zeer centraal gelegen voor bezienswaardigheden en steden, maar toch midden in de natuur en heel privé. Wij komen graag nog eens terug!

We had a fantastic visit to Great Chart, a scenic village where my husband was born 74 years ago. The cottage was comfortable & charming , we loved sitting outside in the garden with family & friends. We are seasoned Airbnb travelers and this rental & the host, Charlie, & her lovely family, were the best!!

Stayed at this barn house for two nights and honestly, it was just what I needed. Super quiet, peaceful, and a great spot to escape all the usual noise. The wood-burning hot tub was such a nice bonus—perfect for relaxing in the evenings. The host, Tim was great too—really helpful and quick to respond to any questions. If you’re after a chill countryside getaway, this place totally hits the mark.

We stayed at Bokes barn for three nights in June 2024. It was for a reunion of friends. Six guys from school. Who were mates from eleven years old until twenty one years old when four of the crew went off to Australia and Canada. And the other two settled into married life. This was the first time we had been reunited for fifty two years. The barn was perfect. Six couples. Six en-suite rooms. It was spotlessly clean Extremely well equipped. With high end equipment and furnishings. Everything worked We all had the best time. We had fun in the games room I am happy to recommend this venue to anyone. You would be hard pressed to find somewhere better. Trevor Howell

We really enjoyed our Easter week stay at the The Long Stable. Andrew and his wife were very welcoming and supportive hosts. The location is idyllic, very quiet and private, even if other farm buildings are nearby you won‘t be disturbed and can make the most of the huge terrace. The cottage is very tastefully furnished and everything is to a high standard. All mod cons are available and the kitchen is fully equipped so wie could enjoy cooking ourselves as well as trying out some of the many pubs and restaurants within easy reach by car. You can stroll around the farm or nearby woods at your leisure, we particulary enjoyed saying hello to the newborn lambs one of which we were allowed to feed as well. The farm is ideally located to visit the coast (recommending Rye Harbour Nature Reserve), National Trust Sites like Sissinghurst or Bateman or simply enjoy the countryside…you really are spoilt for choice. We highly recommend The Long Stable and would love to return for a longer stay.

We’ve been up and down this country 20 times over and this is by far the best digs we’ve ever stayed in. It’s a pleasure to work in Eastbourne just to stay here!

A fabulous hide away in this pocket of English countryside. Has an element of secret garden to it as you come down the easily accessible track. Was the perfect antidote to a hectic few weeks at work. Responsive hosts and felt very welcome on their gorgeous plot of land. Nearby to several fantastic better known hikes but also has some lovely trails on your doorstep (part of the Wealdway). Gun Tap Room nearby also a real gem. Highly recommend.
