The Historic Bunk House at Butler Hill

Welcome our tranquil home in Plymouth. Our house is a restored gold rush era bunk house in the foothills with central air and heat! Every detail and modern convenience has been added while repurposing the historic parts of the property. A one-of-a-kind adventure awaits. House and grounds-within walking distance to 5-star dining and a 10 minute drive to 50+ wineries and shopping. We have over an acre in town with Bocci and games galore. Our license allows six guests, thus we must be firm on that.

Our comfortable and quiet guest cottage is set among Ponderosa pines in the Sierra Nevada foothills, 15 minutes from more than 40 Shenandoah Valley wineries. Private tastings can be arranged. The pool is private to our guests and usually open after Memorial Day. About 50 mins to ski areas. The Cottage easily accommodates 2 couples in two bedrooms, each with private bathroom. EV charging is available - additional fee. The deck is great for outside dining or just enjoying a glass of wine.

The perfect place to getaway or to “work at home” away from home in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, minutes away from Jackson and Sutter Creek. Additional amenities include a laundry room, two full baths and three stylish bedrooms, which comfortably accommodate six guests.

It's hot out there! Come take refuge in a beautiful Sierra Lake... Our apartment is located under our main house, with its own keyless private entrance. You'll enjoy a quiet and peaceful setting among tall pines, with wildlife abound. Amador County is rich in gold mining history, and has many charming gold rush towns for you to visit. If your travel journeys include both Yosemite and Lake Tahoe, we are conveniently located between the two ( 2 1/2 hours from Yosemite, and 1 1/2 from Tahoe)

Fun is just minutes away with Jackson Rancheria, Plymouth wineries, swimming creeks, lakes, amazing cave tours, skiing, hiking, kayaking, fishing, and so much more. Hot tub can be hot or cold!

Relax and Unwind in Wine Country! Your home-away-from-home is just steps away from OldHwy49 shops, restaurants and wine tasting. Tour over 40 Amador County wineries, historic sites, lakes and trails nearby. Then come home to your old fashioned front porch, relaxing back patio, and large kitchen to enjoy cooking together. I’m sorry but we cannot accommodate work crews due to our rental policies. I wish we had a second house on Airbnb that was tough as a bunkhouse so we could!

The house is located on PT Ranch, a regenerative family farm, ten minutes outside the town of Ione and 20 minutes from the Shenandoah wine region. Recreation includes: biking the country roads, floating the Mokelumne River, touring the Gold Country or exploring the Sierra's (we are 1.5 hour from Kirkwood).
